How do Muslims justify the slaughtering of animals in the name of God?

Well, the question sounds to me like how do people justify fishing fish mercilessly and leaving them unbreathing, without a heart, agressively, until death? Before I justify, I considered four possibilties from your question: 1- You are against eating meat at all and so you are against killing animals by any means. 2- You are not against eating meat but you are against the way of killing animals, which is slaghtering. 3- You are against "merciless" slaghtering. 4- You have no problem with all the above but only when it is in Eid and/or in the name of Allah. If possibilty 1, then I think the question should be more general and not only for Muslims, and you have to justify on the other hand why we should NOT eat meat at all. Is it for healthy reasons? Is it for religious reasons? If religious, then I am sorry to tell you that Muslims do not believe that camels, cows, sheep, or goats are gods or vehicle of gods or any sort of divine that deserves to be worshipped. However, we believe that they are the creation of Allah and they were created for clothing, transporting, farming, drinking milk, and eating meat as well. If possibilty 2, then the question should be why do Muslims slaghter and not use other methods to kill animals? Well, Allah told us in the Quran to not eat animals only if it was slaghtered and by his name not any other gods or idols. Slaghtering is more healthy for meat because it extracts a big amount of blood out of the body of the animal. If possibility 3, Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said "If someone slaughter an animal let him slaghter very well, let him sharpen his knife and let the animal rest). Also, we are instructed to not show other animals while slaghtering one. If possibilty 4, as I mentioned we do not eat any animal that was not slaughtred in the name of Allah. We do it anytime but Eid is special event where sacrificing animals is highly recommended. It is one of the greatest acts of worship to Allah the only creator of heavens and earth. He doesn't need to eat animals or drink blood but we do it out of submission and awareness of him. Finally, in Eid it is recommended to divide meat into three pieces: 1- charity for poor people to eat. 2- gift to relatives, nighbore or friends. 3- for the owner.

please don't lead this trend to a religious debate... let's maintain the topic.. please and please.... a good Muslim shouldn't involves in social media religious debate.... if u don't believe me, go to web and search "rules and regulations of arguments in Islam", and u will see!
