Properties / Simple Guide To Managing Your Construction Works by Minlax(m): 10:21am On May 02, 2017
SIMPLE GUIDE TO MANAGING YOUR CONSTRUCTION WORKS
From something as simple as building a kiosk to building a city, certain managerial processes must be put in place to achieve the best output. I would just mention few clues which most people might already be used to, but for the sake of simplifying things, I think these would help:
1. HAVE A PLAN, NO MATTER HOW SMALL: Even if you want to make a table take your time to draw it on paper, a building plan could be as simple as what you sketch on a notebook to complex engineering production drawings. This plan would be dependent on the size of the project and relevant authorities might be required to authorize the project, so do it right. A plan is not a three dimensional beautiful object, make sure you know the spaces.
2. DETERMINE THE COST: This is actually the most important part and if you get it right at this stage you will definitely not have issues with yourself or anyone. Try to get an estimate of that beautiful piece from a quantity surveyor and an experienced person who understands market fluctuations. With a good plan you would definitely get a good costing. Try to also verify from people who might have done similar projects as it would help you to compare. But always factor in the labour cost so as not to be short changed in future.
3. ASSIGN DUTIES: If you might not be physically present to monitor the work, assign duties to people or someone that would take responsibility for the work. Even if the person is your brother, hold them accountable by having an agreement with them. If it’s a building with complex activities, seek the advice of a good builder or an experienced professional, but for the common residential buildings we have, always hold someone accountable.
4. COMMENCE THE WORK: At this point you can move to site or workshop depending on what you want to achieve but if you have delegated the duty you can assume an oversight role. Have a record book, a 40 leaves exercise book will do and ask whoever that is in charge to have one. This is so you can keep proper account of all that you will be doing, even if you have the money to spend, your book will help someone else or save you in the future.
5. MONITOR AND WAIT FOR DELIVERY: Every project could be simple with the right people and processes, there are always risks involved but with the above in place you can get your project done at the right time and at the right cost.

Religion / Re: 8 Great Lessons From 8 Great Men Of God. by Minlax(m): 7:05pm On Jun 19, 2016
We are actually children of God, including the men of God, and I doubt if the poster was tryin to exult anyone. Those men mentioned have changed millions of lives and helped grow this nation whether u believe or not. Their faults to me is for the one who sent them.
mrkayusfit:
We are all men and women of God in our own right. Stop placing mere mortals like you in esteemed positions like they're a mini god. Most of you Christians disobey biblical warning against premarital sex, but will tremble with fear if your Daddy G.O's tell you he saw a vision that a sexually transmitted disease is about to be unleashed into the world. Most of these men you mentioned are not practicing what they preach. Forget the window dressing simplicity they display to fool their congregations. They are mafia behind the scenes. How many of these present day preachers is Christ like? Christianity is turning to a joke in our country

As a Nigerian studying in the UK, I am always continously disgraced by these sort of news from my country.

The members of the national assembly are supposed to be the elites of the society, yet many SUG have more.decorum than them.

If folks like this are at the helm of affairs, there is no hope for Nigerians.
I beg 2 differ, this is actually what makes people talk about us, Nigerians, off course the fracas is a mess but after d mess there is always fresh air.

'Bitches' look vulgar, but in this context I will say men marry them especially when the lady is like the man.

Religion / Re: Twenty Reasons To Stop Tithing by Minlax(m): 12:22pm On Oct 19, 2014
I love it when people can defend their opinions with the scriptures but I also hate it when people make a bold statement to swallow up the gullible. If you are a professional you would understand that every law/principle if applied would always yield results, you can only prove the law of gravity wrong by not breaking yourself when you lift from the ground. TITHING is a principle which is not my business if you chose not to obey but its dividends are ever manifest. Even before Malachi's account, that of Abraham was there, now Christ is the head of the body and anyone who belongs to that body is under the head. Use a Tape and measure your body, your head is one tenth of your whole body. Christ came to fulfill the law, Matt. 5:17

Religion / Re: Does Demon Lives In Human Or Follows Human by Minlax(m): 11:45am On Oct 19, 2014
To start with, demons were here before anyone on Nairaland was born, they are the fallen angels that fell with lucifer, to deny there existence, to me is somewhat of shear ignorance. They do not operate on their own, that is why they either possess or oppress people, when you give them opportunity through what you do everyday. Your case is quite simple; if you have the seal give them authority to leave but if not meet someone with a higher authority to speak to whatever that is troubling your spirit to leave.
