To all those shouting up and down about the tribe these people who have distinguished themselves come from, it is pretty sad.

Celebrate intellectuals for what they are and not tribe.

This should motivate everyone to want to excel in whatever field they are in.

Unfortunately, this has eaten deep. You see people concluding based on the tribe of a person.

Right here on NL, tribal missiles and slurs are thrown left, right and center.

Do we have a rule here on NL against tribalism?

All sorts of unnecessary hate in this country!

Romance / Re: How Do I Stop Self-Servicing Habit Of Crossing Legs And Clenching Thigh Muscle? by missade(f): 7:25am On Feb 28, 2015
I'm not sure that's the reason for your enlarged hips. That is pelvic exercise that's recommended for tightening the vaginal muscles or walls Or maybe I didn't get your description.

Anyways, I can almost bet that it's your diet or lack of proper exercise that's the cause of it. But to be sure, if this is real and not cooked up, visit the hospital for proper diagnosis.

Family / Re: Where Did You Meet Your Spouse? by missade(f): 12:20am On Jan 19, 2015
Ok...

In 2012, I finally got called for my NYSC service. But unilag was so slow in bringing out our call up letters, that by the time they did, it was too late to influence the state to serve in. That didn't mater to me because I had prayed and felt confident.

Omo, na so them post me go Nasarawa... shocked grin dad wanted me to change to Lagos but it was late as Lagos was already full. So I left for Nasarawa and that's where I met him (meanwhile mum told me I would meet Hubby there kiss, I was like all this old women sef)

Ok, so my bat was flat and I went to charge it and that's where we met. Tho we didn't speak till after two days. He would always ask me to come out and eat or hang out in the evening but omo girl likes to stay indoors. Besides, u know how NYSC paroles dey be. Wasn't interested in all that and he had lots of women around him anyways.
I played volleyball for my platoon , each training session he wd come watch me and defend me if peeps were harassing me cheesy we became friends but I still declined his invitations. Sth happened 2 nights b4 camp ended. My friends and I decided to drink palm wine at mami market, even tho the highest I had taken was one bottle of smirnoff, I said oya na. They didn't have so we took smirnoff. I had 2 bottles and was very happy! I hugged everyone I knew! embarassed grin cheesy

Well, he was there watching, he called me and asked me to go to the hostel and rest. My friends had left me with our guy friends from the same platoon. Guess he was uneasy and watched and took me to the hostel to prevent story that touch. Lol
Anyways, he redeployed and asked me to do so but I didn't. Throughout we talked on the phone for hours, when I was in lag he wd come see me at home and vice versa. The relationship blossomed with my mum giving me that "I told you so" look undecided getting married this year, it's all good.

Er...moral of the story; be full of faith and trust cos life throwing u shade may be a blessing in disguise cos he actually finished ahead of me and his name kept missing from the NYSC list till he decided to do his masters.
Sorry for the very long epistle. The end! cheesy

So many things are wrong with this story...
A strange man called you and told you he got your number from fb and asked you to meet with him some place and you agreed and actually went?

Hian! Where did she tell her parents/guardians she was going?

Ok..she got there and felt uneasy as she didn't recognise him but she still crossed over to meet him?!
It's obvious she isn't being honest with the details.

Smh, well, for everyone who has younger females around; pls make it ur duty to be close to them so they feel confident telling you anything and everything. I had my male cousin and bro who I was totally free with so I was able to tell them what's going on with me and it helped a lot. Thank God for her life sha

In 2001, my best(est) cousin volunteered to take me to school on a Friday morning...

That would have been fine except I was unusually restless, got up real early and was ready by 6.40am. Now, my school was only about 15mins drive from my house then (and they used to force me to get up anyways grin). But on this fateful day, I was up and ready far ahead of time. I was in such a hurry, I forgot my school money that dad keeps for me on his desk table.

So we were in the car heading for my school when I remembered my money that I had forgotten. I contemplated but decided to keep quiet and manage. That's when we had the terrible accident that required my cousin to have 3 pints of blood because he bled internally...

Its 2008 and my same dear cousin calls to inform he is coming to check on us after Church. But I was visiting my close friend and told him same. Throughout the visit, I was so unhappy, my mind kept going back to my cousin and how i would love to gist and hang out with him. Wanted to go home, but i felt silly since I really get to see this friend who came home visiting; after-all I would see my cousin some other time....

I never saw him again...Throughout the week, I wanted to call but i was busy with Uni. When my dad called us into his room, I told my sister, Something is wrong with Rotimi and I was right..

I have since learnt to follow my instincts as it has saved me countless times; at least I would have gisted with him one last time.
RIP Rotimi....ok bye

Hmm...

Please be careful, never ever give cash to anyone who is not wearing his ID card. I have heard of cases like this from banks.

Also, the guards have to be on alert and check suspicious movements. Anyone standing or going round in circles should be politely asked what they would like to do.

Finally, the banks have to find a solution to those queues! It is 2015, they need to find more advanced ways of dealing with the crowd. undecided cry

[quote author=Zeezy99 post=29430085]What's this husband scarcity thing? I've been seeing this articles for months now? Designed to make girls feel as if they are going to die single if they don't hold on to the next broke and unambitious guy that comes their way?[/quote

lol, I don't think that's the msg.

Marriage is definitely scary due to fear of the unknown. But the idea is to be each other's support system through life storms.

By the way, an ambitious and hardworking woman wouldn't date a "broke and unambitious man" anyway!

In the end, a focused, dedicated and intelligent young man will get there and you will be by his side riding. And if you do meet someone who is a multimillionaire; that's just fine as well!]
