Go with your
1) passport photograph,
2) international passport original and photocopy of data page.
3) 10,000NGN - 20,000NGN (Depends on who your luck)
It usually takes 3-10 days. Depends on your luck.

Thankyou . Please I just sent you a mail.
Do I need to go with any documents ?
Is there any fee?
And please how many days does it take or is it an instant thing.

Try and see if you can legally adopt him, so he becomes your dependent that way.
george009:
Thanks for your response; from their website, dependents are either your spouse or children in this case, I believe to be your biological children but he’s not my biological child, we share same parents, so how best can I present his case for best shot.

Please other persons can contribute to this, I thought it will be an easy ride with enough proof of funds but from their definition for a dependent, it’s becoming a little dicey.

If you’re in Abuja, Middlesex has an office in Abuja. Though I doubt there is a payment plan, maybe 50 percent.

Dj2019:
Please help a sister. Who is schooling at Middlesex University or prospective student should help with the information about the School. The payment plan?

I advice you to go for PGCE Secondary, it’s a teacher training program and it’s for one year. It’s a hard route, but you will Most definitely get a teaching job in U.K. immediately you are done as Physics teachers are part of shortage staff.
You should research on universities that offer PGCE courses, their fees etc.

You can start researching now for next year, but if you can afford tuition And living expenses you can still Try for this year.
You would be asked to write exams, and do interviews
Are you currently a teacher?

You can use this link to get more, if you register you will get an adviser to help you but it’s pretty easy if you’re a teacher.

Samsoncloe:
Please am a graduate of physics education. I want to do my postgraduate course at UK. So which university should i go for because am confused with what am seeing online

Thanks for responding, We have two joints accounts. One in pounds and a separate one in Naira. We actually don’t have enough money in the naira now but we would complete it before we apply.
What I want to know is if having a joint account is okay for CAS application?

justwise:

Do you have enough money in that joint account for both of you to meet financial requirement?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 5 by MissOwaa: 4:14pm On May 25, 2021
Goodday all,

Please I was directed here.
I’m a bit confused about something. I was asked to provide proof of funds in other to get my CAS. I’m going to be applying for visa with my partner.

So I’m wondering if the school will accept proof of funds in a joint bank account with both of us names?
Please help with clarification. Thank you.

Godbless you
Thanks alot

Have you heard of ‘computer says no’ syndrome?
If you don’t want to be a victim, I would suggest you tell your husband to transfer the funds to your own personal account.
Or
To transfer it (now this may sound bizarre) to your biological parents’ account.
Then you use the account statement.

PS: The student thread is the best place for you to ask this question.

Good day everyone, Please in other to show proof of funds for CAS request. Is it okay to send my husband bank statement and marriage certificate? Or is it better if it’s a joint account?
I have some funds but he has majority of it. I just want to know if adding his own account statement for CAS request helps me.
Thank you.

Yes, You are very right. Their is shortage of Physics Teachers in UK, it is even part of the jobs on the Shortage occupation list for sponsorship visa.

With my BSc (Ed) Physics Education, The way my school just dey overpamper me with juicy offers ehnn, they just don’t want me to leave the school even after seeing many other opportunities. Now na to enrol for a fully funded course in Inclusive Education to be fully qualified as an Additional Support Needs (ASN) Teacher.

Considering the fact that she already has BEd and TRCN in Physics Education plus MSc Psychology. I won't advice her to go for the PGCE in primary Education because the job opportunities will be limited for her. She can easily apply for GTCS in Scotland to become a well qualified Mathematics and Physics Teacher.
The truth is ; if you are very good in STEM subjects, You won't beg or suffer before getting a very good job in UK.

Thank you ma, luckily I was just able to confirm that I can apply for physics teaching jobs in Secondary schools with Primary studies QTs. That they will take me as long as I have relevant experience and can deliver.

I will.like to answer Q1 as a current PGCE student in the UK.
I strongly reckon that your forget about any job until you are almost done with your course. The first few months into the course was a nightmare for me despite 7 year experience as a maths teacher in Naija. The Educ system is wide and thorough, too many things to get used to as an international student.
Even when you are in school weekdays, you've got planning to do over the weekend cos at some point you workload/timetable will be overwhelming plus Uni assignments, and evidence collection.
PGCE is rigourous but quite rewarding

Yes I read about this! Thank you.

Primary PGCE is quite vast, more than Secondary. Despite specialising in Mathematics you will still.learn about some more primary subject cos as a primary teacher, you'll take ownership of your classroom.

I learnt Secondary PGCE gives you opportunity to teacher both primary and secondary.
I would have strongly advised that you do Secondary Physics, it's the highest subject in demand as far as I am concerned. Not too many people teach triple science.

Thank you!
I actually did Physics Education in Nigeria but I didn't get the secondary pgce! I'll see what I can do about this later on.

Okay, that's good. Please for the sake of your tier 4 visa, they can not pay more than 20 hours for you, but try and negotiate with the school to let it be pro rata on the legal pay scale for probationary Teachers and not per hourly pay. With that you are covered for your salary payment during secondary school holidays like Christmas, easter, mid term, and bank Holidays. Opportunities also include organising a weekend tutorials in your neighbourhood like this. https://www.saturdayschoolglasgow.com/?utm_source=yell&utm_medium=refferal&utm_campaign=yell

Oh!! Great thank you!
I was given Primary Studies but my area of specialisation is Mathematics.

Answering your second question, if you are on a really low budget you can check Milton Keynes. I heard accommodation is lesser there nd the commute to london isnt bad. Also i don’t know what your budget is or when u intend coming to london but i have a double ensuite room i rent in east Landon(6 mins to stratford).

Thank you! School resumes September 1ST we hope to be there by mid August

1. Do you mean you'd be posted to a secondary school as a probationary teacher from 9am to 4pm? Is it a salaried placement or not ? If no, you can work on weekend..if yes, ask for a pro rata salary for your 20 hours with the school.

Opportunities like registering with tutorful.co.uk to be doing online Maths lesson or home lessons.

2. Yes, you can. But it is easier and better to always stay closer to your school or workplace.
Thank you for your response and advice.

1) University courses starts in September 9-4pm and by October I will be placed in a school till January. I'll return back to class then go for another school placement by February till April.

that's very great..congratulations. I think you should ask your questions here because some people are also going through same process here
Thank you, I’m coming with my spouse he’s an IT specialist. The school is in London and London is really expensive. My questions:
1) My school is full time, Monday - Friday! 9-4 pm. This means I might only be able to work weekends! Please what opportunities are available for weekend jobs and any idea of the rates?
2) Also accommodation in London is pretty expensive Any ideas about cheap studio places we can stay that’s close to London or cities can we stay outside London where I can still commute to school.
