If by chance, a Nigerian male between the ages 35 to 45 years and having met all requirements for a UK visa for an initial 6 months arrives the UK.

The mission is to earn a steady forex income for the period that the visa lasts and probably start something tangible for the folks back home.
Hustle in obodo oyinbo is better than the rat race in Naija.

What type of opportunities are open to him since trying for a degree is out of it with the cost involved?
No work permit for 6 months visa and it will be odd to just sit in doors and not earn a living for an entire 180 day.
Work experience is regular hustle, office/admin work and every other legit thing that brings money to the table.

Please assist with information on other likely issues to be encountered

Are you in Nigeria or the UK now? You used the term "prospective", which would tend to imply the former.

If you've not already arrived in the UK, be aware that house-hunting generally goes better when you're in-country, as you tend to be taken more seriously when you're around, you can deal with agents in person, go to their offices to leave your requirements, quickly attend viewings, etc., etc.

Advice is: while still searching from Nigeria, if that's where you are now, rent yourself an Airbnb apartment in Hull for about a month. The cost of renting an Airbnb long-term usually compares favourably to the cost of rent and utilities you'd pay if you were a conventional tenant in your own apartment. Then you have a month to pound the streets of your new town looking for something, and that would make it easier for you to get yourself sorted.

You can come to Cameroon, get 3 years HND Nursing, get licensed in Cameroon and move. While abroad, LATER you can run 1year BSc( online)

Please can someone who have been denied UK Visiting twice in December 2019 and March 2020, though the first was as a result of huge some they saw in the person's account some days before applying for Visiting visa and the person's applied again to clear to the source of the money but they said the first reasons have been cleared in the first refusal but was refused the second time because they said they are not sure that he or she has the money declared under their control the second. Pls the same person have gotten offers from some schools for Masters program. Dear Gurus in the house is it advisable for the person to push through? Will the person be given Visa? Your quick response will be highly appreciated. Note: the person wants to apply with dependants. @justwise

I have been a member of this thread a long while now. I am hoping we are all as nice to each other in person day to day as we are here because truth be told, the few Nigerians I have met most especially at workplace are always either acting as if they are in some sort of competition, full of baseless pride, snobby and always seem to hoard information which tends to be fully shared amongst other colleagues as well as.
This is common amongst Africans in the diaspora, Nigerians especially. Nobody wants to see u do better than them, hence they hide information like you said.

Had my biometrics and data capture done at the Nigeria High Commission today and I was very surprised with how well it all went. Apart from having to queue outside (in the rain), the experience far exceeded my expectations. Spent 30 minutes outside and exactly 1 hour inside. Got there about 8:30am and left at 10. No one was rude to me, maybe because I didn’t need any “assistance” and followed all instructions. Excepting delivery of my shiny green passport by 28th of May, even though they said to expect from 14th of June. All the best to those still awaiting their turn. You will soon receive the invite. My 10 months wait is finally over, just in time for the summer holidays and end of lockdown. Sunny Portugal, here I come!
