The verification officer is supposed to send a message to headquarters to make the correction before issuance of matriculation number. So the next opportunity is when you graduate. You will be asked to provide the full name before they can print your certificate.
Wow, thanks brotherly. That means he's right in a way.
Education / Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by mistilink1: 4:51pm On Jul 11, 2023
Fkj2021:

That period is not for addition of names but correction of spelling errors. If you have 3 names and you use two for application, you will graduate with the two.
Please can someone be allowed to correct names with one having initial by writing it in full in this circumstances? Because that is what actually happened in my own case and the man in charge of verification said I will be able to correct it by writing it in full when I am about to graduate.

Thanks brother, it's like the man didn't know before that the verification has started going through. He said I should come tomorrow for it

Well, just forget bro, for security reasons. I don't want it to look like he doesn't know his job.

When he told me that, I just told him okay. On my own part, I have started studying my course materials. My fees are ready. As soon as he verifies me,I flow along.

If they asked you to go, then you can go.

Just some seconds ago, I got an information that that verification will commence on Monday. That means the portal would have been better by then.
It's alright bro, it's because of all these I wanted to go next week instead because the study center is far from my residence. I can't afford to waste my money there without achieving my aim

Fkj2021:

Verification doesn't take time. If you have uploaded your documents online, just be patient as verification haven't started for the semester.

With the information today, the portal is generally having some issues and still on maintenance. You will be informed when verification starts, then you can take your documents to your chosen Study Centre for verification.
But my own study center told me I can come for my verification. They even wanted me to come today,I was the one who chose to leave it till next week

2023_2 REGISTRATION!!!

This is to inform all NOUN students that all registration are currently open ALTHOUGH there are still some minor glitches yet to be corrected in the portal.

Things you may experience are:
- Admission website glitch (unable to view/print admission letter/form)
– Confusing wallet balance
– Incomplete exam registration of some courses
– Remita verification glitches during registration for new students and so on.
- Project Registration glitch (unable to register for Projects/SIWES, seminars etc.

But in summary, get prepared and don't be caught unaware. 2023_2 is here and all registrations of all examinable and non examinable courses are now opened.
My advice for students and prospective students is to get ready financially,go to NOUNAID.Com and get the knowledge of courses to register for, then download the course materials and start going through them. Whenever the portal is fully ready, then they can do the necessary registrations

If you have uploaded your documents, just hold on a bit. Once issuance of matriculation begins, you will be informed here.
Yes, I have done all of that. Just verification and issuance of matric no remaining.

The update doesn't affect that. You can go to your Study Centre. But I don't think issuing of matriculation number have commenced for the semester.
Serious?does that mean sir that I can be verified without matric no yet? Maybe later?

It's alright, but I am through with my application since late May. I have been told by my study center to come anytime from tomorrow for my verification and matric no.

Okay thanks for your response, but I quite live far from the study center.

It's a sacrifice to getting first hand information. My study center from my residence is #1,600 to and fro. I took pain to go there. I didn't want to rely on hear say. After all necessary enquiry, the desk officer gave me her contact. Since then, I have been getting information from the school through her.

Good day everyone, please can I get a direct entry using HND in Statistics (upper credit) to 300 level in Computer Science department in NOUN

Though I saw that I can admitted to 200 level in Computer Science department using my HND, but because of time and money factor I would prefer 300 level, so can it be possible
Some of these questions are better answered if you can locate a study center nearest to you and make every necessary enquiry from the desk officer there. This is what I did. It really helped me to get first hand information.

I think the portal has been under maintenance for about a month now. I have been trying to apply for admission to no avail.
Nigeria matter sometimes, the portal is under maintenance while they have an academic calendar that is already running.

It's like the portal for application is still not going. I hope those of us who have successfully applied and got our admission letter would be able to get verified and given our matric no next week?

Pls urgent reply!
The person that process my noun application form abbreviated my middle name while all my credentials carries my full name. Pls will this affect my authentication of my credentials?

NOUN operates in such a way that they run both semesters simultaneously. So, it means in every semester, u can start your programme. While u will be in you first semester, some persons will be in their second semester. Prepare to begin by this June.
Cheers.
Wow!!! Thank you for your quick response to issues on this thread sir
Education / Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by mistilink1: 12:58pm On Jun 11, 2023
I saw commencement of second semester in the approved 2023 calendar slated for 26th June to around November. And I was told in my study center that I should come for matric no by June ending.Does that mean I will have to wait for this second semester to end before I start my own program?

Yes, the mode of exams is the same. Only GST807 is E-Exams. If however you cannot be physically present, with good reason and supporting document, u can apply to take your exams virtually. This is subject to approval by the Directorate of Exams and Assessment.
Thanks very much sir

New Semester Registration begins June 26th
Application fee is 7500
G&C is for a minimum of 4 semesters
NOUN runs a minimum of 2 semesters in a year.
All exams are POP (Pen on paper) except for GST807 which is an e-exam (fill in the gap and OBJ).
Continuous Assessment in NOUN is known as TMA. It's taken online and it's 30 percent.
Exams are 70 percent.
You need evidence of application for transcripts to get matriculation number before you can register.

No classes. We have only facilitation and it's not compulsory u attend.
All course materials are available. You study then and come sit for your exams.
Yea, there are students forum but unofficial ones.
You cannot move faster than the semesters. But u can choose to pause your programme and continue anytime you are ready. You can also register as few courses as work of circumstances permits. That is the "study at your pace."
I hope this helps.
Please sir, I got admission to study M.ED Science Education,
Is the mode of writing exam for it thesame as G & C?
Thanks for your quick response
