Let me suggest that you try the Cisco, Microsoft tech that don't involve programming, just gui and logical setups, you will enjoy it and it's well suited for the female folks.

Imagine waking up at 2:37am to update a class you just figured how to implement and you still have to bath baby and prepare another for school before 7am.

Or forgo making your hair on the only day you have in the week to meet project deadline??

Lastly, if you decide to follow programming, focus on web, everything is going mobile and distributed now.

My journey has been very similar to yours (as i started out because i wanted to build a website), except that after learning html, CSS and Wordpress i decided to take the digital marketing route as opposed to the programming/web development route.

Thanks! I had a custom domain which I bought from godaddy and redirected it to blogger. I also plan paying for traffic : Google adwords, Bing, Popcash. Well, thanks for the piece of advice!

Yes, there are more one could do with Java. But then, php/mysql remains the easiest language for developing dynamic apps. In fact, mysql is just plain English.

Anyway keep it up girl... this is going to sound sexist but very few ladies venture into this field with such boldness. If you learn these skills well you may never lack an income.
