Thank you very much for this Salford. I appreciate. I I tend landing in Calgary so I will do more research on this. Thanks again. But the textbooks you mentioned where can one get them?
salford1:

According to wife;

Federal: Evaluating exam - 2days, and Qualifying Exam: Part I: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Part II: Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE).max 3 attempts at each.

Provincial: Ielts academic, Internship (applicant would need to apply for job posting for interns), and Jurispundence. Length/requirements of internship and level of difficulty of jurispundence exam vary across provinces.

I believe it took her between 2 to 3 years. She attended a bridging program too. The bridging program helped in connecting her with other IPGs, and they were able to form study groups. Some bridging programs are not free (10k to 15k) while some are also free. She attended the bow valley free bridging program in Calgary. You have to research bridging programs available in your province of choice. Some bridging programs are mandatory depending on province.

Textbooks includes Compendium of Pharmaceuticals and Specialties, Compendium of Therapeutic Choices, Compendium of Therapeutics for Minor Ailments, and Comprehensive Pharmacy review. She also used past questions from an author called Dr. Misbah. She attended another program (pharm achieve) for the OSCE. It's a 2 or 3 day tutorial program (cost around $5k).

She mentioned that over the years, review guides has changed since she got her license. So you might want to double check with someone presently taking the exams. This is where the study groups and bridging classes come in to lead you in the right direction.

All in all. One needs to be dedicated to clear the exams and all other requirements.

Please how will you know when the account is completed. Was yours completed before you got the account number? And how was the charges like when you transferred money into it. Sorry for the many questions

@Maziude opened one before landing. Below is his post:

"For those who wants to open a Canadian bank account, you can also try National Bank of Canada. I got my account number on Monday. I only filled the online account opening form for new comers on Sunday and by Monday afternoon, I got my account number and instructions on how to wire funds should I need to. As usual, I can't withdraw unless I arrive Canada".

Caveat: "If the account opening process is not completed within three months of your account opening application, your account will be closed. To recover any funds in the account, you will have to comply with all of National Bank's requirements, including identification by an agent (you will receive the necessary form and additional information by email at that time), and assume the applicable fees".

Ok guys in the spirit of giving back, here is my script from visa approval to POE as this thread has been of great help. I am a first time mum and had a virgin passport although I had travelled to African countries in my previous passport but my first in USA.
I went for my visa interview at 33 weeks 1day and the script went thus,
VO: Goodmorning
Me: Good morning
VO: Can I have your passport pls.
Me: Handed over my passport with my big file tugged in my arms
VO: why are you going to US
Me: to have my baby
VO: Have you travelled before
Me: yes, to Ghana and Gambia
VO: How did you know about the doctor you will be using
Me: internet research
VO: How much do is the entire bill for the childbirth
Me: 12,890k dollars. I have my budget sheet would you like to see it
VO: No don't worry when I need it I will request for it.
VO: where do you work
Me: I trained as bleep and work as bleep in bleep company
VO: who is your competitor
Me: bleep company.
VO: pick up your visa in 3 days at VI and make sure you travel with you proof of cost, dr correspondence and payment proof.
Everything was less than 5mins I was shocked.

POE was also a breeze. I used KLM and used Houston POE. At a time I was scared cos of the different bad stories and I travelled at 35weeks 6days.
I requested for wheel chair and am grateful I got that from this forum.
KLM was good, had more than enough food to eat and the leg room was good too. When we got to Amsterdam the flight was delayed for 2hrs
Houston POE I was sitting in a wheel chair.
CBP: your passport I gave him
CBP: you are here to have your baby is this the first
Me: yes my first ever
CBP: laughed I haven't heard that before.
CBP: how much do you have
Me:8900k dollars and my debit card
CB0: are you married and is your husband coming
Me:yes I am, am not sure he will be coming as he is currently busy with work.
CBP: so who will help you while you are here
Me:I will manage.
CBP: follow me, took me to secondary inspection where I waited for about 2 minutes and one Arabian guy was already raking for them there.
2cbp: called me, how much do you have, I repeated what I said earlier
CBP: how long will you be here for
Me: 8 weeks.
CBP: make sure you collect all your receipts and take it to the embassy in Nigeria so that they can put it in your record so that even if you forget it next time we will have it in the system
Me: ok thank you.
CBP: do you have egusi
Me: yes and crayfish and ogbono
CPB: why?
Me because I need to eat Nigeria food while am here
CBP: laughed and said bye.

I didn't spend into 10 minutes in both places and my food wasn't check. I thank for favourably and thanks to this forum too. Currently relaxing in Houston while I await my first appointment with Dr F tomorrow.
