Hello people, I got a shocker from Naija embassy at DC. They stopped giving booklets to babies. Said they would rather give adults cos of the "scarcity" of booklets. Option they gave us was to process emergency travel certificate for the newborn. Please who has used this recently? I read sometimes back here that it is no longer accepted. I have about 4 days to my travel date..anyone who knows how I can still apply for visa on arrival ( I know..it sounds very ridiculous but I am desperate). Any insiders pls help a sister! . Plus it’s only an option for our kids, they are free to renounce the citizenship when they are 18 and just be Nigerian (I can imagine the kind of swear their own kids would swear for them if they get to know)
Lol... |

dremye: I think you should log in to your profile. Change her old DS-160 number to the new one. Print the new confirmation page as well. If you have trouble changing it via that option you can call customer care, they'll get it done. |

I see people acting cocky here. They just want to breeze in, ask questions, demand answers and move on. Issokay. When I joined this thread people were not nice at all. Go and read part 4. You will know that you're already being spoon fed. Silver spoon for that matter. Ridiculous is when you come here to ask how to fill your form. Or how to schedule interview Or that you want to give birth in " USA" aunty there are 50 states in this country. Texas is bigger than the United Kingdom. Please don't embarass yourself. Read. Read small at least. Use the search button. Type in the state, heck! Type in the hospital you've Googled for first hand Naija reviews. Nigerians will say it as it is. Enough said. 7 Likes |

curiouslearner: I did. At 38 weeks. 12 hours from Lagos to Atlanta. POE was a breeze. Wasn't asked for previous receipts, asked about how much cash I held and if I declared childbirth at visa renewal interview. My experience overall on delta flight was great. I was allocated a row with 2 empty seats so I was able to lie down and sleep. In flight entertainment was great as well. Above all,Pray to be favoured. |

ninab: I doubt anyone would pick issues with her for going on a VALID visa. It was the smart thing to do at 35 weeks. Only hitch is you did not declare at POE that you came in for childbirth even though you're obviously pregnant. You should have mentioned it even though you were not asked. All the best with your delivery and future renewals. 9 Likes |
Hello All, I feel a lot better now to talk about it so others can learn. My Visa was REVOKED recently on the day of my mums interview. If you recall my previous post, my mom was to have her interview although I wanted to change her interview date until am gone but there were no dates available before my delivery and I will be having a CS, so we prayed and trusted God that all will be fine with her interview, I even asked if ones visa could be revoked, Little did I know it would happen to me and things will turn out this way. I really can’t type the whole transcript of what happened, I might take almost 4 Pages here if I do that besides am saving my energy for child birth. I tried to reapply after the VO revoked my visa cos her last words were Madam you can reapply, go and reapply, I have written it here that you can reapply, but to my greatest surprise I found myself In front of the same VO who revoked my visa on the day of my interview (Yes oo same VO) and her problem was how did I get an interview date, (note this was about a month difference in date from my moms interview) she said they are fully booked and waiting period is 4 months so how did I get date, una see me see Wahala ba infact if you know how that day also went you will cry for me and this baby, the things our eyes have seen and ears heard. But in all am thankful to God and I find Peace staying back to have my baby here, as I don’t know God’s will and plans for me and this baby but to wait on his will. In God’s hands lies our destiny no one can change that fact. Try do your best and leave the rest to God. Please note, I have been to the US several times and I have never committed any crime Ooo I had also written to the embassy of my plans and got a reply from them (check my previous post) Before my mums interview. I renewed my visa when I was not pregnant via interview cos my previous visa wasn’t issued in Nigeria so I didn’t qualify for drop box, My first baby was born in US, I paid all my bills and have all receipts , itemized bill and Zero balance letters, so I came clean in everything guys. I had way above 20k dols for the trip in my statement. I was invited in for questioning on the day of my mums interview after I dropped her off, she had already been given the white paper and asked to come and call me I don’t know who that VO went to consult that changed everything by the time I got in, while I was with her she kept going in an coming out, infact make I stop here, I don’t want to break down again, am putting the past behind me. My Advice: Stay away from cheap hospitals, HNWMC has a red flag with US VO, the miracle moment package given to self pay patients has something to do with insurance, read in between the lines on the document usually sent. They have a list of hospitals with red Thanks for sharing! This is scary. God will make that baby a child of blessing to you. Nawa o |
Hi All, I have followed and gained a lot from this thread also. We had our baby in 2016 and of course paid all our bills. Trying to renew via drop box now, we got the feedback to schedule interview. My concern mainly is what does this Itemized bill look like? If any body knows could you share a sample pls. The first image is an itemized bill |

Suzyt: No they didn't raise eyebrows. I showed the letter that states package price for self pay and told her the bill was prepaid else I would not have been eligible. 1 Like 1 Share |

Hello people.. I went for a follow up interview at the Lagos embassy yesterday. Visa was approved. Not many questions were asked but all my documents were checked including itemized bills. The rate of refusal was very intimidating..i was there for over an hour and only about 2 or 3 visas were approved! Blue papers were flying all over. My advice to returning moms please stay away from hospitals that dont itemize services and also low priced ones. All the best to everyone. BTW who has travelled at 38 weeks with Delta recently? Na my case be that oo. God dey! 10 Likes |
Good Afternoon everyone. Please I am in need of an advise on how to proceed further. I had a B1/B2 visa before my previous pregnancy and before I travelled I sent a letter to the embassy that I was going to have my baby. That visa expired in June and I applied for drop box recently and picked up my passport today but I have been invited for an interview. However, neither schedule another interview nor provide additional documentation was ticked in the letter provided with my passport. Hi. I had same experience though my previous visa was a medical visa. This is what I did.. I called the US travel docs customer service agents and told them I was confused on what next to do. They told me to scan the 221g letter and my passport data page after which they responded they had escalated the case. Today I was asked to schedule a follow up interview which I have done. You could try that but be discrete. |

Annediniebimo20: Hello..I had exactly same issue. Were you sent a mail in addition telling you specifically to schedule a follow up interview? Nothing was checked on my form which was in my passport and no mail either. My visa status reads administrative processing.. I called customer care to enquire and they asked me to scan my passprt page and the letter. Please who knows what dates are available for the follow up category sef.. I dont know how to check for that. I will appreciate quick responses from gurus here as my EDD is next month. Thanks |
