Politics / Re: PDP Governors Planned To Impose Agbaje As Chairman – Dokpesi by MoneyGreen(m): 9:25am On Aug 21, 2016
kahal29:
A national chairmanship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party, Raymond Dokpesi, has disclosed that the court order received by the embattled former National Chairman of the party, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, frustrated the anointed candidate of the governors elected on the platform of the party, Jimi Agbaje, to emerge as national chairman.

Dokpesi said the postponement of the convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State was “a blessing in disguise”.

In a statement by Omor Bazuaye, the spokesperson of the Raymond Dokpesi Campaign, Dokpesi said shifting the convention in Port Harcourt following the closure of the convention ground by soldiers and police affords members a rare opportunity to resolve the leadership crisis in the party. ‎

He said the shift in date also assisted in no small measure to prevent a situation that could have further complicated the crisis with the kind of factionalisation that could have happened if the convention had gone ahead as scheduled.

Dokpesi, who had taken a tour of the country canvassing for support and votes of delegates, said he arrived Port Harcourt only to be told that PDP Governors had anointed Agbaje, the former PDP governorship candidate of the party in Lagos State, for the position.

To effect their plot, he said the Governors went on to lobby delegates from the North, asking them to obey the “micro zoning” arrangement, which was unilaterally decided by them.

Dokpesi disclosed that fortunately, delegates from the North refused to be a part of the scheme and that when the message was brought to them, they insisted it was “Raymond Dokpesi”, who had gone round the country that they wanted to vote for.

Dokpesi said going round the country, he had establish a special bond with the people, a bond he claimed made it absolutely impossible for their conscience to be bought at the last minute.

The statement said: “When they brought the message to anoint Agbaje to the people, everybody started screaming that it was Raymond Dokpesi they want to vote for and so the Northern elders order them to go to the field.”

He added that while the Northern delegates had made up their minds to defile the governors, it was not so convenient for delegates from PDP-controlled states to go against the wishes of their governors who were hell bent to install the next Chairman.

For Dokpesi, Sheriff’s court order was a saving grace from the "MASSIVE RIGGING" that had been perfectly worked out.

Dokpesi however called on all aggrieved members to use the respite created by the shift in date to resolve the crisis, asking them to sheath their swords and come down from their high horses.

“If you listen to Ali Modu Sheriff and the governors, you’ll clearly see the ego at play,” he said.

Dokpesi said what is happening in the party is not a PDP problem but a clear case of Sheriff and a few PDP Governors in a battle for supremacy.

Dokpesi revealed that as a founding member of the PDP, he has been involved in a number of backdoor discussions aimed at resolving the crisis within the party.

He said he swallowed his pride to approach Sheriff on the matter, pointing out that once he had spoken with the former Governor of Borno State, he doesn’t believe Sheriff means bad for the PDP.

Dokpesi denies being a stooge or fronting for anyone.

On the issue of his case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over alleged involvement with a well publicized N2.3 billion proceeds of money meant for the procurement of arms from the office of ex-National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, and the credibility issue that could come with it, Dokpesi is optimistic he would have his day in court.

Religion / Re: The Marital Status Of Jesus by MoneyGreen(m): 9:21am On Aug 21, 2016
The Wife Of Jesus

In the fourth Gospel there's and episode related to a marriage which may, in fact, have been Jesus's own. This episode is of course, the wedding at Cana - a familiar enough story.

From the account in the Fourth Gospel, the wedding at Cana would seem to be a modest local ceremony - a typical village wedding, whose bride and groom remain anonymous. To this wedding Jesus is specifically 'called' - which is slightly curious perhaps, for he has not really embark on his ministry. More curious still, however, is the fact that his mother 'just happens', as it were, to be present. And her presence would seem to be taken for granted. It is certainly not in any way explained.

What is more, who not merely suggest to her son, but in effect orders him, to replenish the wine. She behaves quite as if she were the hostess: 'And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine, Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come.' (John 2:3-4) But Mary, thoroughly unperturbed, ignores her son's protest: 'His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.' (5) And the servants, promptly comply - quite as if they were accustomed to receiving order both from Mary and Jesus.

Despite Jesus's ostensible attempt to disown her, Mary prevails; and Jesus thereupon performs his first major miracle, the transformation of water into wine. So far as Gospels is concerned, he has not hitherto displayed his powers; and there's no reason for Mary to assume he possesses them. But even if there were, why should such unique and holy gifts be employed for so banal a purpose? Why should Mary make a request of her son? More important still, why should two 'guests' at a wedding take on themselves the responsibility that, by custom should be reserved for the host? Unless, of course, the wedding at Cana is Jesus's own wedding. In that case, it will indeed be his responsibility to replenish the wine.

It is not my intention to discredit the gospels. I sought only to window through them.

1) Is there any evidence in the gospels, direct or indirect, to suggest that Jesus was indeed married? There is, of course, no explicit statement to the effect that he was. On the other hand, there's no explicit statement to the effect that he was not. There's complete silence in the gospels concerning the marital status of Jesus.. Such a state of affairs is sufficiently unusual in ancient Jewry to prompt further enquiry.

The Gospels state that many of the disciples - Peter, for instance - were married. And at no point does Jesus himself advocate celibacy. On the contrary, in the Gospel of Mathew he declares, 'Have ye not read, that he made the male and female.. For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?' (19:4-5). Such a statement can hardly be reconciled with an injunction to celibacy. And if Jesus did not preach celibacy, there's no reason either to support he practiced it. According to Judaic custom at the time it was not only usual, but mandatory, that a man be married.

Motherfucker2:
I'm so glad i denounced my Nigerian citizenship last year.
A country where people are denied their essential human rights.

A guy gets locked up for naming his dog Buhari, meanwhile the guy who made the naked statute of Donald Trump is still walking around a free guy.

What will happen if Ifeanyi Ubah or Innoson motors names their dogs Buhari ?? Who would arrest them ?? Just because this guy is poor, you just arrested him

Even if he named his dog Allah or Jesus Christ, no one has the right to arrest him.
This is the problem i have with Nigerians, many of you are so foolish.
And people who called Obama a Nigger on CNN and BBC were not arrested.

The Fulani guy who raped that 13 year old girl (Esaru) was not charged with any crime or locked up, he even took the presidential private jet back to Kano.

The sad part is that some Nigerians will laugh over it, I realized a long time ago that Nigerians are gracefully stupid

I regret ever knowing this country
