While u r busy moaning over your circumstances, the world is passing you by. I would have thought that finding your self in this situation would act more like a catalyst than any thing else. Wake up! U r what you make your self. If you believe u have no hope, then there is really no hope for you. Challenge your self into becoming something. If you had told us your discipline it would have helped us in tailoring our advice to suit you adequately. But the basic point is this, further your education. To get a masters you might have to do a Post Graduate Diploma first. Go for it! You don't have all the time. Find out what certifications are relevant to your field and start reading for them. The clock is ticking guy,
Politics / Re: Truck Bomb At INEC Headquarters by mooch(m): 12:18pm On Apr 23, 2007
Indeed I dont see how such an operation could have been foiled in the first place if it were not propaganda. How do carry a tanker laden with both fuel (and gas cylinders yes) and then miss your target, and you did not even collide with any other obstacle nearby. Hey wake up. That does not sound real. To ram a tanker into any building is one of the easiest thing to do. Go ask why the arson attack on Rtd Gen Buhari`s house was not foiled if indeed we had a good security system?
Abeg all na yarns. Make we for believe.
Politics / Re: Pat Utomi Did Not Withdraw From The Presidential Race by mooch(m): 3:29pm On Apr 17, 2007
From all indications and going by most of the comments i have been seeing on this topic, it appears we have all given up on Nigeria. We all prefer to sit and accept whatever comes to us. However, these same individuals would be the first to cry out when injustices are meted out to them. I do not think quiting can solve the problem. Agreed the game of polit(r)icks is quite different in Nigeria. However quiting will not change the system, you stay and fight it. I agree it is an enormous task for one person to face, but you must fight your battles if we all are to win this war. I particularly hail the boldness of vice president Atiku to challenge all injustices meted out to him. You dont scamper away like a frightened chicken for Gods sake! Regardless of his reason for fighting his battles, the point is that he is making a statement that they PDP can not do as they like without regard of law. Who knows, if he had chickened out, INEC may forever continue to ban whosoevers face they do not like. This victory he won with this supreme court judgement is for all time. Generations shall reap from the benefits of this battle won. It is not so much an issue that Atiku will win the elections or not, but he has made a point. And that point speaks so loud for him, such victories are not attained quitting.
Mr Pat Utomi knew quite well that politics in Nigeria is a dirty game even before he entered into the game. There is no need giving us that as an excuse to quit. WALK THE WALK YOU TALK!
Career / Re: Career Change: From IT To Investment/Business Analysis by mooch(m): 4:01pm On Apr 10, 2007
I personally think that the IT industry is getting saturuated. Being in the field myself, I have been secretly nursing the idea of a career change. The only thing I can say is better late than never. Indecision is one of the worst diseases that can ever hit you. CIMA is an excellent certiication scheme. Being CIMA certified you become an international commodity cos it is respected world wide. But then I believe a job within the line while you pursue your certiication is the best thing you can do. The solution to most problems is just a decision away. Good luck bro, and hope I get the liver to follow suit soon.
