Dear All, Please if you get a job email from Canada Pentecostal Bible Church, please ignore. No such church exists in Inuvik. They are scammers. They will make you part with some money. You can inform your friends and colleagues. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Merry Christmas everyone. Been a while I posted on this platform. I had wanted to post this before now but kept delaying. I want to encourage everyone who awaits PPR, especially those in AVO. Last year (2018) was horrible for us as it seemed all our doors were closed. When we first heard about the EE thing we embraced it with joy. Everything went on smoothly: IELTS (one touch for me and spouse), ECA (for both of us was out within 6 weeks), medicals was a breeze. Then, we hit a brick wall when our application was sent to Accra visa office. We waited for 7 months before it was eventually approved. Last Christmas was very depressing. New year's day this year was horrible. All we kept asking was 'How long, before we see Your righteous hand, how long before our mourning turns to shouts of joy?' (It's actually the lyrics of a song). The AVO seniors told us that shop would open between January and April or May. We kept praying and hoping. Truly, from around January they started giving PPRs. Ours came in April. Some AVOs with AOR of February even got PPR by April/May. (I'm sure this is encouraging to someone). Now, we are in Canada. Last night, I had to sneak as Santa to drop Christmas gifts for my kids, and their joy this morning is heart-warming. Things are not perfect here, but I can say we are much happier here. I can say that the Lord led us here. It doesn't mean that our happiness depends on our location, though. This is to everyone (not only AVO people) who feels discouraged about something (it may not even be the Express Entry stuff). Yours may be that you are looking for an admission, for a job, for a life-partner, for a child or for something that you can't share with us. Don't worry much (it's understandable if you worry); do the best you can do and trust the Lord to guide you. Keep trusting him. Hold on. Don't give up. Help is on the way. May this Christmas give you more peace that is beyond human understanding. Cheers. 106 Likes 4 Shares |

mbhs139: At the bolded, that is not supposed to be the fault of the applicant. And it's not about carelessness, in my opinion. Very many people I know tell their employer before they write, so if the employer chose to react that way, it is not the applicant's fault. Don't forget that CIC calls the employer to verify the reference letter. If they show surprise to CIC when the call comes, that could lead to a refusal of application, which is a worse error. For me, the employer is acting wrongly, but the applicant did the right thing. 21 Likes 1 Share |

Friends of the forum, while eating eba this hot afternoon, COPR Letter and the stamped passports arrived to my house by courier. Summarized Timeline ITA: 25th July 2018 AOR: 11th September 2018 PPR: 23rd April 2019 COPR: 16th May 2019 Arrived today. My PPR announcement and PPR story was in the previous thread, but I'll like to add a few things. Because our application was processed in Accra, we were a little discouraged and didn't prepare for PPR. When PPR eventually came, it could be predicted so the excitement was numbed. Many people have their PPR requirements (including the height and eye color forms) filled and kept in an envelope, but we had to go and take passport photographs the next day at Studio 24, and then submitted via courier. Now, if you don't live in close proximity to Lagos or Abuja, and you are not in a hurry to leave, using a courier service (DHL or UPS) is a very good option. So, we sent our Studio 24 passports (with address and stamp at the back), a consent form allowing UPS to transmit our passports back to us, and we paid for transmission of passports to and fro. I'm posting this because I had to inbox many people about this, we weren't sure because no one we knew had done like us. I'm sure this will help someone. One of our kids is an American citizen, and although we didn't pay the passport transmission fee, we weren't sure if we should also pay for the courier fee back to us. We made a copy of the data page of the American passport and attached. Other people we knew went to VFS to pick up the passports and so didn't have this info. Even the people at UPS head office in my city had no idea; all they knew was to collect your documents and bring them back to you. Maybe we should have called vfs or emailed, but we decided to risk the extra 10k afterall we had spent over 1.5 million on this project (IELTS, ECA (X2), FBI PCC, NPF PCC, Medicals, eAPR fee, RPRF fee, Transport to Abuja for Biometrics (x2) and all the passport photographs), so wetin be 10k?. Better safe than sorry. When it got to VFS (after 2 working days), we got a call saying they noticed we paid for courier for 4 passports, but they were seeing 3. I explained and the man said I shouldn't have paid for it and they can't refund. I said no wahala. It left for Accra the next day. No anxious moments, I didn't even bother checking. On Thursday, 16th May, Finally, my profile changed to APPROVED.... what a feeling. I got notified when it left Accra, when it reached VFS Lagos, and when it was given to the courier service. Eventually, it got to me while I was eating eba. This is our story. God has been faithful to me and my family. Infact, he has been more than faithful. We have spent the last year or two facing one discouraging news or the other, but from April, we started getting good news, not just this PPR. He showed us that He had us in His mind all the while. Special thanks to my wife too, who made this happen.... in the other thread, I had shared about her anxiety. Now, she is so calm. She is a proud owner of a PPR, a COPR and a passport stamped with an Immigrant Visa. Finally, thanks to all who have guided in one way or the other on this platform. Time to finally move other to the other thread. One love!! 99 Likes 11 Shares |

mosky47: YOU ASKED FOR IT: FULL GIST We are exceedingly grateful to God. I have tasted and known that He makes all things beautiful in His time. I first heard about Express Entry in the 2nd week of April 2018, and decided to give it a try. After simulating scores with all possible IELTS score, I registered for IELTS. Although I’m not 47 as my moniker might suggest, I recently discovered I’m not getting any younger. IELTS May 12th: LRWS 9,7,7,7.5 Spouse IELTS: LRWS 7,8,7,8 ECA processing for spouse and myself started just before my IELTS. Within 2 months, everything was out. CRS- 444 ITA- 25th July (cut-off was 441) At this point, I must state that there’s an unwritten rule that people who find it easy pre-ITA have a difficult ride afterwards. But we said 'it’s not our portion.' It was amazing that within 3 months and a few days of hearing about EE, we had gotten ITA. IELTS one-touch for both of us. ECA also was fast. My spouse got hers out within one month, mine was slightly delayed but still came out within 6 weeks. Medicals, PCC, Reference were smooth too. In fact for our PR application photo, we all wore the same fabric, thinking that the VOs will be happy and will give us PPR quickly because we were a happy family…..lol. For where? POF was via (notarized) gift deed. AOR: 9/11 (September 11th). BIL/MEP came October 5th and we captured in Abuja on the 10th. So smooth too. Everything was done within 30 mins or so (I shared it in an earlier thread). We live outside Abuja and had to fly to Abuja and return same day. We had ample time in between as the biometrics finished far earlier than we anticipated, so we just moved to the movie theatre on another floor of the same building and saw one dry movie- the real Yoruba demons. Then the wait began. Now, I must let you know that you have never seen someone who worries and is as anxious as my spouse, I can bet . We saw @Kwadoo testify within 3 weeks (the fastest we had seen at that time); also @mepconsultant and how he was accused of fabricating his story. We tapped into his testimony that our miracle will be such that people would doubt its validity. Me oh, I just knew that it would come within 6 months, and since I was not ready to travel until after mid-2019, I wasn’t worried at all. It was argued here that the job mail was for those who were sent to London and everybody was praying against London VO. Every 10 mins (an exaggeration), my wife would ask if I had gotten that mail. I said ‘na wah oh’. Until October 23rd, true true that mail came and our status changed to IP1. (That was exactly 6 months to our PPR). I was scared to tell her. Well, after telling her we did a little research and made some calls and found that the mail was not only for London. We heard Accra people got it too, and someone whose VO was Ottawa also said he got it, so we debunked the relevance of the mail. Then the prayer point changed to let it not be Accra. I said I thought it was London we were praying against. She said the problem with London is that they stayed up to the full 6 months, but Accra may not get for like 1 year. What? That means we were praying wrongly all along. To cut the long story short, after one of those long calls to CIC, we found out that we were in Accra visa office. Depression set in. The mood in the house changed for days to weeks, and alternated with some episodes of normal mood. I ordered for GCMS notes exactly a month to our completed 6 months. My thought was that nothing had been done on our application. I knew it had not been touched, and there was nothing the GCMS note would tell us. I wanted to do it close to the 6 months mark, so when preparing the note, the VO will see that everything is okay and possibly send us a PPR. Well, the note arrived on March 9th, and while we just finished going through the notes, we saw from the AVO group that people were getting ADRs. About 2 hours later, our ADR arrived. We were overjoyed. Submitted them on the 12th of March. More ups and downs until we saw many people in AVO getting PPRs. We were so happy. Later the mood changed, when we saw November AORs getting PPR from AVO while many August and September were untouched. ‘They have forgotten us. We may have to wait till January-April 2020’…..lol. I emailed Ralph about a week after the 6 months mark, and he responded that Eligibility Pass was recommended. It seemed like a breakthrough. When we moved to IP2 on the 18th of April, that was when we celebrated the PPR, because Accra is pretty predictable at this stage. IP2 today and PPR tomorrow. The IP2 took away the PPR excitement when it finally came. So unfortunately for us, Friday and Monday were public holidays and so we had to wait till Tuesday. Lo and behold, before 9am Nigerian time, I saw an email of donotreply and knew it was PPR. Behold, PPR: April 23rd (yesterday) I am exceedingly grateful to God for this. I dedicate this PPR to the God I serve. My second dedication goes to my wife, who is now a proud owner of PPR…lol. At a time she was worried that I was not worried, but all her efforts especially her contacts and information were vital and invaluable. She can push anybody to succeed. And to everyone who has contributed here, and those who make this group lively. For those who are still waiting for theirs or are at different stages, don’t worry, it will be fine. Trust me. Finally, I no dey worry, I no dey worry but every morning for the past 6 months, I woke up with a voice telling me that ‘today’ was my day….. . Nothing dey happen for Accra, nothing dey happen for Accra, but I checked my profile a minimum of 5 times per day all these months, thinking my case would be different and I didn’t want to hear that PPR was sent to my spam 10 days ago without me knowing. I checked as often as possible; call it being meticulous, call it being anxious, but yesterday PPR came…… Signs out. 93 Likes 2 Shares |

People it's PPR. Singing 'there is nothing, there is no one, who compares with you; I take pleasure in worshipping you Lord'. Timeline: AOR: September 11th 2018 MEP/BIL: October 5th, 2018 Biometrics done: October 10th, 2018 Reverted to the so-called IP1: October 23rd, 2018 Silence.........until ADR: March 9th 2019 (AVO Famous 5) IP2 (I can't tell if it's so-called again....lol): April 18th PPR: April 23rd (after 7 months and 12 days) To God be the glory.
