Hello great scholars, for those in Coventry im sure you're all battling with coursework, I wish you all success. As it concerns our payment, I had a chat with a friend who got the NITDA scholarship. He told me they were paid a month after arrival but that they had to put pressure on the agency before they were paid. For us, viewing this thread is not enough. I suggest we take concrete steps to make the commission release our funds to us. Someone told me she's suspecting they might pay after the elections, well guess what? Suspicion is not what they listen to. The money is ready and they can as well pay before the elections. What do you suggest we do? NITDA formed a group on Facebook and it helped then a lot.

As it concerns payment, the commission will pay this month, no need to be apprehensive.

Sorry for not replying the questions that were raised earlier, been having some issues with my device. Well, the list can only be accessed by the Director of Education and top sources in the commission. But it jus worth giving it a try if you possibly can cos your name might just be on that list, the MD has brought the list out of his briefcase but now the new Director of Education wants to keep it in his office cabinet. Just for the records, Madam Christy Atako has resigned, and so this new Director was appointed, so that why his eyes are shinning....I think he wants to cullombi some slots on that list...But Holly Ghost fire go do am strong tinz...
School fees will be paid within 6 months, that's by March at the latest....All the best with visa applications..........

I'm currently in PH. I dint get an invite but I came cos my "source" asked me to do so and guess what?? I received my letter today.
I discovered that the director of education deliberately refused to send notification to people, it took the anger and intervention of the MD to get him to send invites to the 2014 scholars. The MD was really angry with him and still, I discovered that a lot of people from some states especially Akwaibom are yet to get their invites.
I'll advise that you come to the NDDC HQ and check for your name to see if its on the list.

Congrats to those that have received the text messages. I've confirmed its being sent in batches, let's hope the remaining batches will come out of the MD's briefcase soon....Akwaibom is yet to be sent out, its shd be sent out tomorrow.Meanwhile, some other states including Cross-river received their invites yesterday.

Meanwhile, oga MD is back from Japan with our scholarship list hidden somewhere inside his briefcase. If this list is released and some dubious names are on it, I'm sure there will be massive protest. We deserve more than to be left in the dark.

Sorry for the misconception, I still agree that representatives should go to the NDDC to get info. Meanwhile, news just in is that the MD is in Japan and is expected back this week.
I strongly support the move to get info from NDDC concerning the scholarship.

I suggest again that we tweet about this matter. The MD of NDDC and FG don't have nairaland accounts, let's take this cause to twitter, Linda Ikeji, facebook and every other medium at our disposal.
Please drop your twitter handles so we can start something.

Great scholars, I have reliably gathered that the ,NDDC is still yet to receive the budget of this year. The only money available is for overhead and personel cost. But money for projects have not yet been released.

Except we have divine intervention at this moment or you talk to Jonathan directly, the NDDC is not going to release the result because it will be a slap on the face of the government if NDDC say it doesn't have funds for scholarship.

Great scholars it is time to take this cause beyond mere discusssions and take decisive action through a protest either online or physically because the NDDC can only appeal to the president to release funds.

Election year is around the corner the money is available, let's cause the government to release it.

Hello great scholars. It is with utter dismay and disappointment that I write this message this morning. Some of us here have decided to "leave it to God", which God if I may ask?? The scholarship is your entitlement will God take the scholarship for you and go to your school?? Ofcourse not. Do not leave it to chance.
We appreciate all the "sources" for their information. However let me say that any info given at this stage must be categorical and not generic.
If the list has been sent to the directorate of education....what are they to do with it?? Eat it?? Burn it?? Or contact those whose names are on it?? Be specific please.

Scientist235......be real man. Which info do you have again There's nothing anyone can say. The list is very much with the MD and he can say when he wants it out. The directorate of education cannot and I repeat cannot say anything concrete at this time. This is just speculation. Nothing concrete will come out on monday, if it will I'd have known by now.

Hello great scholars, I would suggest we draw sufficient attention to this matter outside the nairaland forum. I suggest we use a hashtag on ttwitter so this discussion can go viral and draw the desired attention. We may not be able to stage a 1,000 man protest...but if we have several hundred tweets concerning dis matter, I tell u the president will wade into this. Its our future, its our entitilement. NITDA has done theirs....won't there still be election in 2015 NDDC can do theirs and the election will still hold.

hello great scholars, I spoke with one of the MDs assistants and he confirmed the list is ready, however approval for the release of names has not yet been given by the MD. He even asked if I could defer my admission...................Let's be real with ourselves and stop causing unneccesarry "hope".....the list will come out this year, but let's start looking at getting admission in January or possibly september next year.....Let's jus keep hoping....

Hello great scholars.....whatever happens this weeks.....let's take it in good faith...there's still hope even way beyond the nddc..I called BCIE (they handle admissions to coventry) and I was told to jus get my offer letter then apply for extension......so if the list comes out this week, coventry scholars still have hope...if not....go and stat updating your CVs.......#all the best

Hello great scholars, as we are all aware or for those are not, be informed that the final list of scholars is ready. The issue is not about finance, in July it was but with the enate having passed the NDDC budget finance is the least problem. It is very crystal clear that the mamagement of the NDDC is the one that has decided to constitute themselves into a stumbling block. If not they can make the MD aware that time is running out.
Great people, if the list does not get released this week, forget about the scholarship and expect an "officiai" statement.
We need to bring this to the notice of the general public, but how? This is may be the last window of oppurtunity we have. Let's take decisive action.
