Solution – Certificate Not on Phone or SIM error (Nokia s40) Nokia Sometimes while updating the phone or when you’re just completely out of luck, your Nokia phone may not install any new applications because it has lost all its certificates which are used to install signed applications to the phone and allot them proper permissions depending on how much can they be trusted. People keep asking me for help regarding this same question again and again. So I’m publishing a solution here to help anyone who faces a No Valid Certificate or Certificate not on phone or SIM error on his Nokia S40 phone (even other phones can get the certificates through this method. Just give it a try. Procedure to re-install Nokia s40 certificates All you need to do is to open the certificates in the phone’s default browser. Opera Mini or Nokia Browser will NOT work. I’ve uploaded the certificates onto the server here, so it is just a few easy steps for you. 1. Compose a new SMS in your phone. 2. Write http:///NokiaCertificate as the content. 3. Now either save this SMS as draft or send it to your own number so that you can access its content in the message viewer. 4. In the message viewer, select the link and open it (tap on it in case of touch phones). 5. From the page that opens (http://resources.techmesto.com/ NokiaCertificates/), keep clicking on the various certificates and Install them. 6. The certificates will be installed and available for approving signed apps. 7. To confirm, you can Goto Settings> Security> Authority Certificates Alternative Way: If you have access to entering the web address in your default browser (web), you can just skip the first 4 steps and instead manually enter the address http:// resources.techmesto.com/NokiaCertificates/ in your browser’s Go To Address column and install certificates from the page that opens. I hope this content is clear enough.and if still u cnt get it. Keep me posted. |
Phones / Solution For Conflicting App Error On S40 Nokia Browser by moyes(m): 11:44pm On Dec 11, 2013 |
Solution for Conflicting Apps error with Nokia Browser in S40 phones Some users are experiencing issues when they updated the Nokia (Express) Browser on their Asha or other s40 based phones. The problem occurs because the update doesn’t go up successfully. In most cases, some of the files from the older version remain there which causes the updated version to show a ‘Conflicting Applications‘ error which makes it impossible to open and browse using the default Nokia Browser. The issue did reach the Nokia Devs but because a very small number of users are experiencing this, the resolution was withheld except for some very new devices. Solution to the Conflicting Apps error: If you’re also experiencing this error, you’d have noticed that even a full factory reset doesn’t solves the problem. So, follow the steps below to get rid of the error. It has worked for many but it still isn’t sure that it will definitely work for you. You can try though: 1. Firstly backup the important data present on your phone using the Backup Utility (in settings) or backup on your PC using Nokia Suite. If you don’t backup, you will lose all your data such as Text Messages, Contacts, Calendar; etc. 2. Now you need to reset your phone to factory settings. You need to choose Full Restore. Please note again that this will wipe all your data present in Phone Memory, so do backup before you start. You can first try by skipping this step as it might work out without the need for a factory reset. 3. Install Opera Mini browser (if Opera Doesn’t work, use UC Browser) on your phone. You can either install it using the Nokia Store utility present on your phone. Or otherwise, install it using Nokia Suite on your PC. 4. Open Opera Mini on your phone and browse to following link: http:// download.browser.ovi.com/ 5. You’ll be able to re-download Nokia Browser from that page and your problem will be solved once it installs properly. 6. That’s all. Enjoy super-fast browsing on your Nokia phone again. Does this work for you, or are you still facing issues? Please do reply below as your feedback is necessary to find a permanent solution Phones Supported by Nokia Browser: 110 (1100), 111 (1110), 112 (1120), 113 (1130), 200 (2000), 201 (2010), 202 (2020), 203 (2030), 2700, 2730, 3710, 5130, 5330, 6303, 6600, 6700, 7230, Asha 300 (3000), Asha 302 (3020), Asha 303 (3030), Asha 305 (3050), Asha 306 (3060), Asha 308 (3080), Asha 309 (3090), Asha 310 (3010), Asha 311 (3110), c2-01, c2-02, c2-03, c2-05, c2-06, c2-07, c2-08, c3-00, c3-01, x2-00, x2-01, x2-02, x2-05, x3-00, x3-02 |

Phones / How To Configure Access Point On Nokia Lumina(window Phone) by moyes(m): 8:06pm On Dec 11, 2013 |
Nokia Lumia (Windows Phone) While the Access Point settings for most of the operators are pre-installed on the Lumia phones, there can be situations when you need to change the Access Point, be it because you’re inserting a new SIM or the pre-installed settings aren’t working for you. Here’s a quick guide to help you set-up the Internet Access Point. Windows Phone devices, unlike the older Nokia Symbian and S40 phones can’t be configured automatically, so you need to manually enter the Access Point settings and then activate the Access Point. Setting up Access Point on Nokia Lumia Keep your Access Point details ready before you start below. If you don’t have them handy, call up your operator to ask for the details such as – Access Point Name, Username/Passwords, Proxy Port, Proxy Address besides others. 1. From your start screen, swipe right to reach the list of apps. 2. Tap on Settings and scroll down and tap on Access Point. 3. To create a new Access Point, tap on Add towards the left of the screen. 4. Now on the Settings page, enter the details as provided by your operator. Connection name – Can be anything with which you can remember what is the Access Point for. Access Point Name – Specific to each operator and sometimes different plans require different APNs. Username/Password – These are usually left blank for most of the operators. Proxy Port and Address – Again something that your operator will provide (if needed). 5. If you want to set up MMS as well, you can enter the details when you scroll below. MMS configuration will be provided by your operator. 6. When done adding the details, Tap on the Tick towards the bottom middle of your screen. If there’s no generic mistake, the phone will save the APN. 7. Once done, you’ll reach back to the Access Point screen. Just long tap on the newly created Access Point to Enable, Edit or Delete it. Start browsing the internet and download amazing new apps and daily new launchers on the Windows Phone store. If you’re facing any problem with this, or anything else related to your windows phone. |
