I once argued this way back in 2004 in secondary school with a colleague of mine then.. I asked him “if my great great grandfather wasn’t a Christain but an upright man in all his ways will he still go to hell seeing that he never heard about the gospel in his time“ and my Scripture Union colleague said YES! Certainly God must have judged him fairly. God's judgment is true and just.
Since we are not God and his ways are not ours. Same way our thoughts are not his thoughts. Your colleague must have only expressed his thoughts.

The answer is No. Colonial masters Era don't exist anymore. Yet the gospel is still being preached to the whole nation.

The church has already reigned with Christ as priests and kings in the millennial kingdom. The bride (New Jerusalem) comes down to earth after the millennial reign of Christ (just after the war with Gog & Magog)

Well will leave you to it. The church is the bride and not a great city..Holy City which was described in measurements. New Jerusalem as bride was used in metaphorical terms.

The saints are not the bride of Christ. Because the bride of Christ cannot descend from heaven twice.
In Revelation 20, the partakers of the first resurrection (the church) will come back to life and reign with Christ for a 1,000 years.
Whereas, in Revelation 21 v 2, the bride (new Jerusalem) comes down to earth after the millennial reign of Christ.

Clearly obvious the church is the bride.

Anywhere Jesus is...the bride goes with him.

Let's see who the bride of the lamb is according to the book of Revelation;

Revelation 21 v 2;
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband

The bride is not the church, the bride is the new Jerusalem.

It's the righteous acts of God's holy people that's the clothe of the bride. See Revelation 19 v 7-9.

The ones that'll make it to this supper of the lamb are the martyred saints. Remember in Revelation 7 v 9-15, these martyred saints are standing before God's throne in heaven already.

To further confirm it's the martyred and dead saints already before God's throne in heaven that'll attend that wedding between the lamb and his bride (the new Jerusalem)

Revelation 19 v 9 says
Then the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”

Connect that with Revelation 14 v 13 which says
And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead WHICH DIE IN THE Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them,

Note, it never mentioned blessed are those who are escaped the great tribulation. It is those who dies in the Lord that are blessed.

New Jerusalem is known as HolyCity...Rev 21 2 and 10.

New Jerusalem is not the church and not the bride. Jesus died for the people and not the city. Verse 9: The city is called the bride because it encompasses all who are the bride, just as all the students of a school are sometimes called “the school.”

If you read Revelation 12 v 10-12 carefully, every true believer would face persecution, and where applicable would pay the ultimate price (their life).

You will see there are saints that were already in heaven when the dragon was cast down. They overcame by the blood of the lamb, AND THE WORDS OF THEIR TESTIMONY (about Jesus). Remember, every faithful believer (the church christ would come for at the first resurrection) are the ones that hold onto the testimony of Jesus.

Take note, they loved not THEIR LIVES UNTO DEATH! It never said they escaped the dragon through pretribulation rapture. It said, they OVERCAME THE DEVIL, THE SERPENT, THE DRAGON.

Then you'll have saints which are still on earth facing the tribulation, yet to die. Those ones who face the great tribulation.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Where did they mention that the resurrection of the saints and transformation of their bodies would happen before the great tribulation?
Where was it mentioned that the saints, the elect of God would be gathered unto Christ before the great tribulation?

You have only paraphrased my questions to those claiming the saved will partake in the wrath of God during the tribulation (great tribulation).

Firstly, 1 Thessalonians 5:9. God has not appointed us to wrath.

The signs to look out for are clearly stated in Matthew 24;
1. The gospel OF THE KINGDOM must be preached throughout the earth
2. The abomination of desolation which Daniel spoke of and Jesus referred to.

These are the signs of the end.

The great tribulation starts in the last 3 and half years of the tribulation. The first 3 and half years is the tribulation. Making the 7 years. Around the first half Israel will sign pact for peace and the temple will be built mid tribulation. Then desolation of the temple will take place where the anti-christ will demand to be worshipped as god during the last 3 and half years.

Those of us who have repented of our sins, accepted Jesus as our Lord and saviour and have our names written in the book of life shall not partake in the wrath of God upon the earth.

As we are in the last days and this generation shall not pass away. The following feast have been fulfilled: in relation to Jesus
1. Feast of passover
2. Feast of unleavened bread
3. Feast of first fruits
4. Feast of Pentecost

Yet to fulfilled: In relation to Jesus
1. Feast of trumpets....This is next. Rapture.
2. Feast of atonement
3. Feast of Tabernacle

Those of us who's name is written in the book of life will not partake in the wrath that is to come to the inhabitants of the earth who failed to accept Jesus as their Saviour and did not repent.

The temple to be rebuilt before rapture. (Matthew 24 15-16, 21). Most likely mid tribulation period.

All the signs are already happening before our very eyes. What other signs are people looking for?

Rapture ....dead in christ will rise up first to meet Jesus in the cloud. Then those of us who are still alive in christ will join up in the cloud to meet Jesus.

The 7 year period divided into 2 halves. First 3 and half years will seem peaceful, the the remaining 3 and half years is when the great tribulation starts. Worshipping the beast and cutting of heads of those who refuse to worship or take the mark of the beast.

Where was God before he created Heaven and Earth?

I have answered that in my previous post.

God was everywhere. He decided to create a place for himself (heaven) and man (earth). by diving waters with the firmament.

I am a Christian and I know that heaven is described so beautifully in the book of Revelation. The roads are lined with all precious metals. And the bible even says that "Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard" what God prepares for his own people.

However, I have a reservation. Most of these pastors preach this to us from the altar but they behave like this earth is where it starts and ends. They do not even wish to experience this heaven. One would expect them to be convinced to the point that their hearts will be fixed towards heaven at all the times but no, that is not the case. If by the behaviour, it shows they are nit convinced of what they are preaching, I feel something is obviously wrong somewhere.

I must tell you, it makes me doubt the existence of heaven a little bit.

The Bible should be your guide as a Christian and not what your pastor says or does. The word of God is the focus and not any human being.

In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth. Anything heaven and earth God created. And he chose to design it the way it pleased him. No assumptions.

You are on earth. You can see land and waters. You can see the moon, sun and stars. You don't know the extent of the earth. You don't know where the seas start or where they end. Up until now, discoveries are still being made.

You can see the heavens (firmament) above the earth, but you don't know the extent. Just because you can't see don't mean it don't exist. Just because you don't believe me doesn't imply that I'm wrong.

Reason I said don't be myopic. If God can separate waters with firmament to create heaven and earth. Definitely he must have created the waters, just as he created the firmament to divide the waters and went further to gather the waters into one place and called it sea and the other part land.

God was everywhere and moved upon the face of the waters. He decided to partition the waters with firmament and called the firmament heaven. To the part below the firmament (heaven) which was still waters, he moved the waters to one side and called it sea and that with no water he called it earth(land).

Basically, created heavens for himself and gave man earth to dwell and dominate. Nobody knows the extent of the firmament (Heavens).
Just because you don't believe don't mean it's not true.
