What is there to hid, why do you want to be economical with the truth? If your father is a mad man, he should be called a bad man as long as he continues been a bad man. Nigeria does not need sugar-coating at the moment, the whole world already Know what's up so it's not your restrian that will better the country's image but a change of behavior.

That is not the point. When you go telling all your friends my father is a bad Mann , my mother is a bad woman, my uncle is useless, my cousins are useless. You or your children will want to marry one day and people will say don’t marry from that family o, they are all useless.

You don’t use your own mouth to confirm bad things about your own to outsiders. What was he hoping to gain by ribbishing the Nigerian judiciary internationally? Can they fix it for him. So what was the point?

How? People should stop making statements just to score political points.

Obi is my man but let's be real. Can you control a stubborn or drunk driver? These BRT bus drivers drive like they own the road. Same applies to container carrier drivers and all those lorry drivers.
They just want to oppress and intimidate others with smaller vehicles.

There is a limit to what the government can do, we as individuals should learn to do better.

We behave the way we behave because government is failing to hold people responsible for bad behavior.

Religion / Re: Idols – What Are They? by mrmatt(m): 1:45pm On Dec 11, 2022
IDOLS – WHAT ARE THEY?

The English dictionary defines idols as; "a graven image or REPRESENTATION of ANYTHING that is REVERED, or believed to convey spiritual power."
In the above definition we can see that idols are not only sculptured images or graphic representations but ANYTHING or ANYONE that is held in UNUSUALLY high esteem – and is often regarded as the perfect reference, the final answer to every thought, idea or concept.
There are FOUR types of idols and FOUR ways humans are affected by them.

1. Idols in the HAND — idols in the hand are those things we have that have effectively taken the place of God in our lives. They include; ungodly hobbies, friends and associates, bad habits, jobs, phones, clothes, TV shows etc.
Idols in the hand are WHAT YOU HAVE OR DO. Mark 10:21.

2. Idols in the HEAD — idols in the head are false beliefs and erroneous doctrines, personal philosophies, ideas and opinions etc. Idols in the head are WHAT YOU THINK YOU KNOW.
2 Corinthians 10:5.

3. Idols in the HEART — idols in the heart can be our achievements, pride, titles, awards, influence, attitude, talents or gifts. Idols in your heart is WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE. Ezekiel 14:4.

4. Idols in the HOUSE — the idols in your house are those dedications done outside the church of Christ, they can be your traditions and cultures, family shrines or altars, demonic community customs and practises, etc. The idols in your house is WHERE YOU COME FROM. Ezekiel 8:10, Judges 6:25.

These are four ways we allow idols to exist in our lives.

The Bible says "LITTLE CHILDREN, keep yourselves from idols. 1 John 5:21." You see, little children can be taken in idolatry, either through video games, social media or partying.
The Bible also admonishes ... "Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry." 1 Corinthians 10:14. Idolatry can be abandoned.
Ungodly habits or hobbies can be stopped.

Household idols, demonic customs and traditions can be destroyed.
Revelation 12:11 "And they overcame him by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB, and by THE WORD of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

All it takes to break the power of idols in our lives is determination, repentance, the Blood of Jesus Christ, the Word of God and faith

Every God is an idol.

I'm not saying been bad to people in general but u know the good gurl of a thing, right? Is there really any gain in that? Coz to the best of my knowledge, the so called bad gurls are excelling far better in all ramifications than good gurls. Even guys will choose the over the gurls any time.

You are not a good girl, you have been successfully programed and cage out of your original soul. Find yourself by doing what pleases your soul.

Begin to question your beliefs, some outdated family values, religion... Then, unlearn whatever is interfering with who you want yourself to be.
Business / Re: My Cousin Sister Stole 200k From Our Business And We Want To Do This by mrmatt(m): 1:40pm On Dec 16, 2021
iamwhat:
I am seriously confused and scared at the same time.

My cousin sister has been staying with us since age 5 and nobody knows she's not our sibling because we took her as one of us, she finished from the most expensive secondary school in our town and we gave her everything she needs.

She told my younger sister that her friends boyfriend is a yahoo guy and I noticed she has been misbehaving lately.

I received the shock of my life when my younger sister discovered her POS business money was not complete and she told me she suspected Toyin because of the clothes, Shoes and bags she buys nowadays. Lo and behold, she conducted search in her bag and she found 200k in her bag. She told the Money from there and after some days, My cousin started looking for the money but she didn't tell anyone but asked our maid if she found the money.

We confronted her yesterday and she confessed she took the money.
My brother is suggesting we take her to guard room but I think that's inhumane but I'm so confused at what to do right now...
I don't want us to maltreat her, I'm looking for the best way to treat this issue without causing any physical harm to her.

Since she has been with us since age 5, I feel sending her to her family won't make sense because she didn't grow up with them, I am suggesting a professional counsellor/therapist but my siblings are saying I'm behaving like Oyibo, they aren't buying the idea at all.

Please I need your advise on how best to handle this issue:

Very painful. Please treat her same way you will do if she's your blood sister.

Which ever way you see it, Islam (Religion ) is the cause. The parents you referred to were badly influenced by Islam into such cruel thinking.

Do not blame Islam.
Islam is not a person.

Islam is not the individuals that send their loved ones to rthes home of shackles for rehabilitation.

The people running these homes did not kidnap the individuals, even though they're forcefully keeping them against their wills, but atleast it was their family members that brought them there for whatever reasons.

I'm not a Muslim before you start, but I really hate when we divide ourselves like this and incite hate with our statements.
Religion / Re: Adewale Giwa: Pastors That Own Private Jets Won’t Make Heaven by mrmatt(m): 9:35pm On Sep 05, 2019
RiyaGoddess:
Whaooooo
When I was an unbeliever, I was really among those who insult men of God who owned a jet. I really didn't understand the need for a jet not until I became a believer and got to understand mission work. It's a long story that I can't share here anyway. What i do know is that if Jet was in vogue during Abraham, Solomon, Job, Paul etc time, they would have acquired Jets. These men acquired properties that were in vogue during their time. Even if it was common AC, they would have own a lot of ACs rather than stay inside the heat. You know the middle east can be very hot during the hot season. They had the best that was in vogue during their time. Even Jesus rode on the finest donkey. So imagine if it were to be now, what He would have rode on?
In as much as I hate the focus on prosperity messages in church, but having a Jet for mission work isn't wrong.
I said Mission not personal acquisition.
If you have ever gone on mission assignment or trips into remote countries/nations where it's not motorable or where you have to journey for 24 to 42 hours and more to get to where you are going to, you will understand the need for a mission jet and pray for 1 for your mission trips. Some of these missionaries even hire a small chopper or what's it called to get to where they are going when they get to a place that's not motorable or somewhere with a long distance. I think it's UN helicopter or something I can't remember and they spend up to $10,000 to go etc. Those called into mission or who are missionaries understands what I'm saying and also know the need for a jet for mission.
Oh Yahweh, you know it has always been my earnest prayer that you bless Dominion City with a Jet for our mission assignment and trips.
Read my signature.

Education / Re: Christian Parents, Ifa Priest Protest Against UI School’s Hijab Crisis by mrmatt(m): 9:02am On Nov 22, 2018
herkeem:
The International School Ibadan (ISI) and the Hijab Ban.

ISI is a secondary school under the control of the management of University of Ibadan. The school has been in the news in the last few days for its refusal to allow willing female Muslim students use Hijab on their uniform. The situation has degenerated to the extent that the Muslim students were shut out of the school among other unwarranted actions of the school as represented by the Principal, one Mrs Phebean Olowe.

I have read and listened to different opinions on the development and I am not sorry for the positions I take on the matter. Before I conclude with my positions however, I have a few questions for the Principal in question as well as anyone with position same as or similar to that of the school management:

1. Does the wearing of Hijab by the willing female Muslim students portend any danger/evil for their colleagues (who don't), the school or anyone for that matter?

2. Is it against the law of the land for the students of such a 'public' school to wear Hijab?

3. Does their observance of that aspect of their constitutional rights rub or deny anyone of his?

If the genuine answers to the above questions are NO, then I am of the opinion that the assertion that the school's reactions are borne out of hatred for Islam and the Muslims must be very true and this has to stop and stop NOW.

And for those who might be asking, does their not wearing Hijab portend any danger? Yes, it does and contrary to the opinions of those that know not, not wearing Hijab makes female muslims less Muslims because it's not a flexible commandment. If your wish is really not to make them non-Muslims, let them use what makes them the Muslims that they are.

I call on all the concerned stakeholders and well meaning people of the society to intervene in good time to allow our female Muslim students join their colleagues without any further victimization, molestation, discrimination or disdainful treatment of any kind.

Leyin aponle, abuku lo Ku o........... Tori a ko le wa sa fun keke lo kolu moto.....

Adesanjo Oyejide.

Welled structured but completely asinine.
For your first question, the answer is YES.
Do you need a prophet to tell you that most if not all the suicide bombing are carried out with Hijab? It post a huge security threat in the environment.
Second question, the answer still remains YES.
The environment is a school not a mosque or a religious place and they have a dress code by law like the police, army, lawyers and the likes. I don't think your kids will be comfortable with their mates on their religious attires either.
Third question, NO, but with a negative effect on the uniformity of the school. It will divide kids along religious line creating obvious differences among us.
You sound very learned but religion has eaten deep into your DNA and it won't help you at all. You were not born with any religion, you practice Islam probably because either of your parents were one, your environment dictated for you or by popular demand. Last last, all these things are useless. Embrace humanity sir.
