Illegal immigrants can't vote in US. Trump is not even going to win the Republican nomination, talk less of winning the General Election in November 2016.
I pm'd you sir, seeing that you know a lot about Chicago and I'm new here. I'd love to hear from you. Thanks

Hello vo, another quick question pls.. I've tried to track my visa status on the ceac website and its been stuck at READY for 3weeks now. Does this mean my case is under AP? My fiancee is getting really impatient as I have no solid explanation to what is going on. Thank you for your time as always.

visaofficer, the consulate did respond about records showing that my visa app is still processing and they will notify me when its ready for collection. Thank you for throwing more light on that. Bless.
VisaOfficer:

Yes. Right up until you have your visa in your hands, many things can happen. In most cases, everything is fine, but sometimes new derogatory information comes to light, there's a technical glitch, etc. These are only a small percentage of cases, but in the interest of answering your question accurately: Yes.

I just did, can anything go wrong at this point?
VisaOfficer:

It depends what's happening with the case. It might be a good idea to e-mail the Consulate and ask for an update.

Hello Visaofficer, I'm just now reading that you aren't in lagos anymore. Sad. It's being almost 3weeks since i had my interview and I haven't heard any news concerning my passport from the dhl office. Does it take that long typically?
Politics / Government Agencies by MrNesta: 1:44am On Jul 25, 2015
I'm sorry if this is not the right place to post this but I hope the Mods will kindly move it to the appropriate section

[b]This is my complaint, over the last one year I have had the misfortune of dealing with government agencies in the country for one reason or the other. But mostly to require their services in procuring documents. I have come to notice that with all these agencies- The police, NPC, NIS and so on, there is no obvious fixed price for whatever service they render. They charge you based on their perception of your person and thus the amount payable for the same one service will vary depending on persons. Their is also no receipt issued for whatever transactions that took place. Furthermore, when their is dissatisfaction with services rendered, there is no feedback mechanism in place to channel a grievance and seek redress. Take the Immigration service for example, the number displayed on their webpage has never worked for a minute while the email feedback channel never gets responded to.
Now this is why I'm writing this here, does anyone on this forum know how and where to report government agencies when they are remiss in their duties?

Sorry, I'm not in the office so can't assist. You might try LagosIVscheduling@state.gov - hopefully they'll reply tomorrow.

Hello amiable VO,

I am trying to schedule an interview for Friday, the passport office fixed my passport. They laminated it. I sent a mail to Lagosiv@state.gov yesterday and I have only gotten an auto response so far.

Cheap trick, i bet he's got a metal frame to support him hidden in his trousers. And that frame is connected to the platform. Tell him to repeat this trick while wearing just briefs na that time una eye go open....

Thank you for the response, I'll go down to their office on Tuesday and hopefully I'll be back to interview next Friday. I'm afraid I don't have any interview appointment letter to present when i come, will the greeters allow me in?

VisaOfficer:

Oh, yes, I saw your passport -- it drew quite a bit of attention here. If the passport office can fix it, it's fine to bring it back to us. If not, though, you'll need a new one.

Hi visa officer, so I tried to interview yesterday but received a 221(g) because my international passport doesn't have that shiny seal on the biodata page. That was a printing error i guess from the passport office. I have called them and I was asked to bring my passport on Tuesday, probably to get that seal on it. My question is since my 221(g) form stated that I should bring a new passport, will it be okay if I present the one I have now after its being rectified or i just have to get a new one?

VisaOfficer:

Sure, you can bring Western Union receipts. But as you say, the most important thing will be how credibly you can discuss the relationship, not the evidence you bring.

Thank you once again.

Hello VisaOfficer, good thing I found this site as I'll be interviewing next week. I have a concern, can western union receipts from my Fiancée be presented along with proofs of an ongoing relationship? I'm asking as i don't want to shoot myself in the foot just by being honest about that. I have read elsewhere that it can be viewed in a negative light, especially when the history of Internet scam in Nigeria is considered. I'm hoping our case will be judged on the merit of how good I can speak of our relationship and not our financial dealings.
Thanks
