Thanks for your response but I don't think my marital status is an issue because CIVIL STATUS shows NO CONCERNS on the GCMS note. I have been married for four years with two beautiful kids smiley cheesy grin

deboks:
na... they seem to enquire into your marriage to review if it's legit. Hear AVO is keen on Marriage ish like pictures, certifcates, emails btw you two or things like that. So if your Marraige is solid you have nothing to worry about. peace and patience to you and yours MrOba... it shall end in praise!

Hi Fam,

Almost 7 months post AOR (Sep. 7) and no update since Biometrics completion. Ordered GCMS note and all is looking except for the part highlighted in yellow below. Should I be concerned? Accra VO.

My transcript was for my BTech. I applied online but had someone that helped follow up with it. Unfortunately the person has graduated and since left Ogbomoso.

@MrOba, Pls how did you resolve your transcript situation in Lautech? Was it undergraduate or Post Graduate? And would your contact be able to assist with getting a PG transcript? Thanks.

This reeks of scam, trying to defraud you of your hard-earned money.

I bet the next step would a response from the "Canadian Immigration Lawyers" asking you to pay a "consultation fee" or something along that line.

Be wise. Go to page 1 of this thread, all information you seek to DIY is there.

Kmartt:
Hello everyone, kindly help me on the below information.

I got a job offer from a company in Canada, they also sent me an INVITATION LETTER of which a copy was also emailed to Canada Immigration visa section for visa processing.

Below is the mail I just got from the Canada Immigration visa section,

Dear visa applicant,

Your application form to work in XYZ Company is received by Immigration visa section Canada and we are happy to inform you about the requirements for your visa.

To apply for your entry visa, please reach us with the following requirements to enable us authorize your entry visa to Canada before it is issued to you by Canadian Embassy in your country/around you.

1) Letter of Invitation from XYZ Company.

2) Lawyer Clearance Certificate from Canadian immigration lawyers.
(email provided)

3) Scan copies of your passport or traveling document.

4) 2 recent passport photographs.

We are looking forward to receiving all these listed requirements above from you in order to grant your visa to Canada within 7 working days.

Director of Immigration,

The issue now is how to get requirement (2) which is Lawyer Clearance Certificate from Canadian immigration lawyers. I have mailed them via the email provided by the Canada Immigration visa section but still no response. I have a deadline of 5 working days to provide all these documents to enable them grant me entry visa.

Anyone with ideas should please help me out. Thanks

Many thanks for your swift response. Knowing how to submit these documents is where the confusion lies. Do I submit through the Web form? Also how do I pay the RPRF because as explained earlier my profile has not been updated.

gook:

No...hard copies bawo..
All documents submitted should be pdf as you did before.Get the forms filled, receipt of the 150$$,Baby's BC, baby's passport info page, scan and merge all the pdfs, then submit.Your spouse must complete her own IM5406 for her own immediate family differently.IM008 to be filled only by the PA.

The 4 passports for your baby is the only strange one but I want to believe it's same process, scan and convert to Pdf and merge also with others..if it's not so,they will send ADR with explanation on how it should be done.

BTW..Congrats on your new born.

Hi Fam, I’ve been away for few days now as we welcomed our baby girl. Trying to catchup with the thread now.

Please can anyone who has gone through the process of adding their new born post AOR walk me through the process. I have raised a CSE to notify CIC about the new addition to the family by contacting AVO directly and the response I got has left me with many questions than answer. Please see below

Hello,

In response to your below email, please provide the following documents in order to add your child to your application:

• An updated Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)
• An updated Additional Family Information form (IMM5406) bearing original signatures from you and your spouse.
• Copy of your child’s birth certificate
• Copy of your child’s valid passport
• Payment of the Application for Permanent Residence Fee for your new dependent if he is accompanying. For current fees, please consult: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp
• 4 recent photographs of your child

Regards,

Migration Program | Programme de migration (RKB)
High Commission of Canada | Haut commissariat du Canada
MITNET 313-3404
P.O. Box 1639
42 Independence Ave., Accra, Ghana

How do I submit these documents? Raise another CSE for them or submit the hard copies? (Note the request for 4 recent passport photographs).

My profile is yet to be updated with any ADR requests.

Wow! Congratulations and fantastic timeline... fellow Sept AOR here (Sept 7).
Did you by chance find out your Visa office?
I just found out my file is currently located at the Canadian visa office in Accra, Ghana.
Anyone else have their file being processed in AVO?

Nazor83:
IT'S PPR Guys.

Below is our timeline.

Family of 5
CSR - 456
ITA - June 25
AOR - Sept 12
MEP/BIL - Oct 9
Biometrics Done - Oct 16
PPR - Nove 9

I don't know where to start but I will thank God first for today. All praise belong to him.
I will thank all the guys here especially those who make out time to share information on the platform. I learnt a lot here. I was encouraged by other people's struggles and stories. I also got the link that helped with our major breakthrough in the journey here. I will not say am a silent reader but when I applied to be an elder Newmum0615, Macstan, Tojued and co did not consider me. How can Newmum0615 who is my junior in Engineering faculty in UNIZIK be an elder and I will not be an elder....lol. Thanks a lot guys. The company I enjoyed here throughout the journey has been superb.

Around April last year when we thought of this journey, I was not sure we will get enough points to get ITA so we wanted to go through the study route. It was at that point that I joined Nairaland study group. I convinced my wife to take IELTS which she did and did well and we applied to a school in Nova Scotia and got admission but later my brother who lives in Canada got his PR and the prospect of getting extra 15 points shifted our attention to EE again. We took IELTS (General) together and my wife cleared the thing. She has B.A in English sha. Along the line I also confirmed from the contact I got in NTI Kaduna that people have successfully validated their PGDE with WES and that finally changed the story.

For POF we used a joint account. We also had my PFA account statement but to avoid stories that touch the heart, the money we had in the joint account covered the basic POF needed. The PFA account was just added as extra.

The major challenge we had was hussle for 2 or more certificates. That is where I will always be grateful to Nairaland. I came here and asked if anybody had evaluated the PGDE from NTI. The first time nobody responded but when I asked again, a good friend here gave me a contact tin NTI, Kaduna. Prior to that, we went to their office in the city we live and applied for the transcript but the man there did not look like somebody that knows what he is doing. We applied in December, 2017 and till about February, 2018 the request had not been sent and there was no guarantee it will be pushed. This necessitated my question here for clue which finally paid off.

For those that are still in the journey, my advise is that you should persevere. We had our moments of doubt. We spent money to get things done but at the end success makes you forget what you went through.

ALWAYS FOCUS ON THE GOAL. FORGET ALL DISTRACTIONS AND DON'T BE DISCOURAGED.

Hi,

You will need to get someone locally to help you follow up. I applied online and had my Sis-in-law follow up with the process. The person will need to print out the receipts generated when you paid for the transcript online, they will take the receipts to Student affairs and from there to the exam officer in your department who will print out the transcript and send back to Student affairs for onward shipment to your evaluation body.

The process is pretty straight forward but as with most Nigerian institutions, you will need to patronize those in charge. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.

What you need to do is to make sure the dates overlap. For example

Jan 12 - May 6
May 6 - Oct 10

AND NOT

Jan 12 - May 6
May 7 - Oct 10.

I hope you understand.

Thanks, I clicked "save and add" after each entry. All my entries are in the table below. If I was timed out my entries will not reflect on the table I guess. I have logged in and out, deleted and rearranged a dozen times.

Thanks for the prompt response.

armstead:

25% of my PF was N1,084,500 at eApr meaning CIC used N274.487 as exchange rate while I had used 277 or 278 on Xe.com upon submission. In essence, what they calculated as POF for me was even higher than what I calculated for them.

AOR - Sept 07
Medical passed - Oct 03
Biometrics Collection Letter - Oct 03
Biometrics Completed - Oct 04

Godspeed to everyone on this journey.

Congratulations Armstead on your PPR. Could you please share, how much was in your PF part of your POF that was converted to CAD$3951? I’m only trying to understand the conversation rate CIC use and I’m pretty sure some other people on this thread will be interested as well. Many thanks!

armstead:

To corroborate your point above, I applied for GCMS in August in order to specifically check if my pension fund was considered as the PF is the only source of additional fund to complete my POF requirement. To my amusement, I received my GCMS notes today; lo and behold my Pension fund statement with LeadwayPensure was accepted and considered without any review required. Please see screenshot attached.

Just to allay your fears, my work reference letter is similar to yours as it’s addressed to Canadian Deputy High Commission in Lagos. I submitted it like that and got MPNP nomination. Submitted the same letter (recently) also for EE.

Jennypharb1:

They refused. That is the only format they give out according to them. I think I'll just submit like I didn't receive a reference letter

You will not be able to submit your application without the Medicals as it’s part of the documents to upload.

SolutionsGuy:
Good evening house. And thanks to everyone for information sharing.

Pls is there any problem with doing Medicals after submitting the eAPR? Everybody seems to be doing medicals upfront and I'm wondering if it's not ok to do it after AOR.

Don’t worry about it. I didn’t include it as well. All that matters is to ensure that your WES reference number is included on the envelope to be sent to WES from the school. When you are filling the transcript request online, you will see where to fill where the transcript is to be sent to, make sure the reference number is written on the first line.

bayojbbb2002:

Thanks @MrOba, but what of the Wes Academic Request form, how does that get to them since i will apply online

For LAUTECH transcript, you need to apply for it online transcript.lautech.edu.ng you will also pay online (17K), print out the receipt and get someone in the school to help you follow up with it at the senate building and your department.

Hi, it appears we are in the same boat as I got LAA from MPNP as well.

Would appreciate someone who has gone through this process to shed more light on it especially on how long it usually takes for the nomination to go through after submitting the application with Manitoba.

Also I want to use this as a backup option as I am more keen on ITA from EE. I'm presently on 427 and wifey just took IELTS last Thursday so we are hoping if she aces it we will have additional 20 points which we hope will be enough to fetch ITA.

I have been seeing some abbreviations lije AOR,IP1, ADR, MEP, NA2,IP2, PPR. Please can someone exlain in full what they mean and what to do at each stage.

I would also like to know the timeline for the MPNP. Is there anyone who has applied, how long did the process take?

Thank you

You will need to create a new profile but will still be able to use the same GCkey. I had a similar issue and had to create a new profile. Now the two profiles appear on my account with one showing ineligible and the other showing submitted.

I had the same issue when I paid for my wife's IELTS with my account. We sent several mails to them with proof of payment and the transaction reference number but the mails were not acknowledged nor the payment confirmed. The test booking was eventually canceled and she had to visit their office before the payment was confirmed and also had to book another test date.

I will advise you go to their office tomorrow and sort it out immediately. You might be lucky to still retain the original test date.

titigafar:
Hello house, I need your advise. I paid for IELTS using a friend's First Bank mobile app. I filled in all my details on the remark before confirming the payment.
After this I sent a mail to British Council with the receipt of the transfer. Since then, I didn't get any acknowledgement mail neither was my payment confirmed.
A friend linked me up with a contact that works with British Council who I reported the case to, and he said they.have been having issues with people who paid with other people's account, that the remark details are not reflecting on their account. He promised to help see what he can do about this on Monday.
Yesterday I got a mail from British Council saying I have 24 hours to make my payment, failure to pay will make them cancel my registration.

Please has anyone here experienced same and how was this resolved?
