Bear, Fear, Rear, Tear, Dear, Gear, Near (All of them have EAR). So draw your ears, in other words be CAUTIOUS. Fear the Bear as it is Near Tearing its way from the Rear |

pumping777: The only way the price of Unity Bank will shoot up is if they release a VERY BAD result, if their result happens to be IMPRESSIVE, their share price will nosedive to even N7 That has been in the trend in the banking sector. Investors there are afraid of GOOD or IMPRESSIVE result |

cj2008: Undoubtedly we seem to share the same views about those companies. But how do you know that NGC will DEFINITELY give bonus this year? How is it a fact? I also hear the same thing about Beta Glass too. NASCON for me is a good turn around company, coming out of a huge loss to click N516m in six months, shows some great potentials there coupled with a promise to pay 60k with a share outstanding of only 2.2bn. And they may exceed this projection. Union Homes is the only one I seem skeptical about. Yes they are profitable now, but their shares outstanding is to me huge 6.250bn, and if they do give bonus again in imitation of their senior brother, then the dividend will be less than 5k this time. But again, it is a solid co and may enjoy good market sentiments. Their staff that visits my office regularly spoke highly about their business strategies. Nothing new though, for virtually all coys now, even including transcorp, is getting serious now in business. While not doubting, pls reconfirm the certainty of NGC giving a bonus, though actually they are overdue for this. Methinks they want to reward investors for their not too impressive performances lately. |

WASKY-WAJA: E be like say na you buy my dunlop last week I parachuted when I saw one animal that looks like BEAR rushing down towards it. Anyway, you can buy more to even out, its a turn around stock. My caution has been that any stock that I have not seen its recent result stays in my caution portfolio until the weather clear. I vamoosed from it last week at N7.16 and this even happened with my "agegutta" broker |

cj2008: You seem to be speaking my mind although my fair expectations are 80%. But can you through on each of them to buttress your speculation, in case we might share the same sentiments. In this way too, all the hidden students here can do some jottings in their mind's jotters |

aktopgun: AKT, you may be right, you know. But is liquidity the factor of the current bearish trend? Was thinking the passing of the budget would get mad at the NSE. Who can time the market |

aktopgun: Thanks a lot AKT. That is why you are special. I don't see it dropping to as low as N15; I know there are many eyes on it. M&B should do fine in the medium to long term. I thought they will be releasing their result sometime this month. I will have to check. Thanks once again. |

aktopgun: AKTOPGUN, Sincerely, you are easily one of the most selfsacrificing persons I have ever met. Hope you pass on this GREAT QUALITY to your offsprings. Wishing your son a sound health along with your entire family. THANKS for all your kindness to me and indeed to everyone who have benefited from your benevolence. I just felt moved to write you this short piece though we really haven't met face to face. GREETINGS. |

grabdaloot: My brother its not only you that has been caught in the OVERSMART trap. I was soooooooooo oversmart over my Japaul that up till now, I am feeling guilty having to chase it at N12. I piled up Japaul during the TS to offload post TS, but ANALYSIS PARALYSIS, AND OVERSMARTLYSIS wounded me beyond recognition. You remember at a point it hovered around N8. and N8.05, for fear that it would fall, I sold all my Japaul, and just as if the market was watching me, the following market sessions, the thing began to waka, like play, play, play, at a point I thought it was typographical errors each time I saw the price, until the people that bought from me were evening counting more than 80% profit, and yet me that held it for months ran away with only 14% or thereabout. It is not a lesson I will forget in a hurry! It was the same day I sold my CILeasing in my portfolio with those stockbrokers that are still using manual typewriters in this computer age, that the price started moving up. Those who bought from have made more than 75% from me within just a few weeks. I wish I have forgotten these experiences. So e be like say, na this thing make chineke God come make me enter Leventis. Anyhow the slightest candlelight now I don bail fully. Their Dividend no de pass 9k abi na 10, 10k |

aktopgun: Yesooooo my man AKT I bailed out at N15.40, just some sha, and realised I made 202% net profit just in three months. I want to thank you so very much for the candle light. The only concern I have now is: WHY ARE ABUSES ON STRONG OFFER AND FOCUS ON STRONG BID? You fit shine your Candle on this one? This NSE sef Anyway with my AG Leventis upcoming loot, I WILL NEVER BE ANGRY WITH ANYONE No matter the disrespect |
Investment / Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by MrRisky: 11:07pm On Mar 09, 2008 |
AKT, I am placing a SELL order for my CILeasing against tomorrow at N16 minimum. My only concern, I don't know how far it can drop. I Have made about 100% profit, though, its just that the price has climbed damned too beyond what I had projected. I never wanted to sell this stock, but the spreadsheet profit of over N1m in three months is too tempting to ignore. Other than its prospects, I am not looking foward to any miraculous reward for investors. THEY BAFFLING THING THOUGH IS WHY DOES THE PRICE KEEP RISING. Based on what I know, I know it is overvalued at the current price. I feel sad though that I have to sell this stock DO YOU AND @PUMPING777 have anything to say, don't know if you have found yourselves in this dilemma before. Thanks for your inputs |

NBC may hit N100 mark if they do a bonus along with a mouthwatering FYE result and dividend. Just wish thinking, but it may happen. I hear from grapevine that they are planning to reward their investors for their patience. More will be told as developments unfold as we near the the time of the release of their year end result. Other other hand, looks Guinness is up to be upstaged in that line, no thanks too to the recently announced impressive result of NBL. |

beginner: I am floating a PP for my senior daughter as she will be proceeding to UK for her degree programme. If oversubscribed, you will get your return money by 2010, just 60k/share. This sounds funny, you can't believe it, there will still be takers! Anything goes in Nigeria market, the NSE inclusive, hence you will find a myriad of generators and fake anything all in the market with teeming buyers queueing for their takes!!!! It is sadly exciting sha. Now who will buy Afprint for N11? A company that has no accountant or if there is why no corporate result since 2004 or is it 1994?? |
