Vincentosa: Good advice!! Put in as many EOI's as possible, tho time consuming but still think it is the best thing to do. |

Chomyg: If this question has not already been answered, the type of IELTS you write depends on the assessing body for your field, some may request general while others academic. I believe the most important thing is to know the assessing body for your profession and go with their requirements for PR, for study it is mostly academic, you'l need to check the english requirement of the school you are interested in. |

Hi Chocychoco you may need to start reading from the beginning of this thread to fully comprehend. Firstly, what did you study? Secondly do you have experience in that line? Check then from the second or third page here if you need skills assessment for your career line, also check the English requirements for your assessments (from my little knowledge you will need ielts for your visa application so might as well start studying for that). Lastly wish you the best Chocychoco: |

tunlex01: Thanks!! I'm going for it!! My major concern was when the EOI was submitted I had just 1.7 from vetasses. |

tunlex01: Started job from 04/2018, vetasses approved from 04/2029 to 2021. Still with that job. Wrote to vetasses and they advised renewal application so the months from 2021 till date will count. I'm about doing that but only hope the ITA which elapses 21st October will still be there when the renewal results show. Unfortunately no priority for vetasses renewal. Is there something else I can do? Has anyone had this experience before? Please share or advise. |

Hello House, I have an ITA for 189 with a 65 score but have a concern. VETASSES assessment in 2020 was 1.78 and not 3 as claimed. So it's assumed I may lose that 5 points, however I am still in that occupation and have been advised to go ahead with my application but put in supporting documents to show I am still employed there. Çan anyone please advice? |

Hello Guru's I lecture in a public University and have a FG grant for a 10months postdoc in the UK. Please help confirm the following; 1) My visa type should be a tier2 general? 2) Do I apply for 1 or 2 yrs Visa, if yes is it advisable to pay for a return tickets? Or just one way? 3) What documents do I need from my sponsor?COS only? 4) Is it advisable to apply together with my dependants? Husband and 2 children? Or we put in an application for them after ours? 5) My husband is a Medical Lab Scientist, will he be able to work full-time during our stay? are there any online courses he should take to ease his job search? 6) Is lecturing a good field as a career in the UK? In terms of renumeration and job satisfaction? 6) Na wa....so much questions in my mind... |
