One of the biggest tech exports of the country's blogosphere, Somtoo Okoye, has acquired a tear-leather Lexus ES330 Sports Car for his mother. Sources said he also placed his retiree teacher mum on a monthly salary.
Somtoo, founder of Bestmobs.com, Africa's biggest phone review website and importer of Bestmobs mobile accessories and powerbanks, claims that his mother helped him a lot during his struggling days and to top it off, sold her jewelry to buy him a Nokia N80 Symbian phone which he used to start designing websites and start blogging as far back as 2011.
A bold pro-Biafran agitator and strong political critic, Somtoo also runs several other succesful online blogs like the popular entertainment outfit known as "Somtoo Okoye blog" which has close to 200k likes on Facebook.
He recently gave away a brand new HP laptop and 200k in cash in a social media contest where he tasked participants to write out measures on how to curb the rampaging menace of Internet fraud in Africa.
