I have already encountered Jesus,he is my lord and personal saviour but guy come on,just one day of fun won't make you a sinner,my problem with all this religious people is that most of you are not what you truly claim to be.

Then be different. Do you live by other peoples actions ? What is your own conviction?

If a man tells you he's a good man but ends up being a wicked man do you chose to live wickedly because of him..do the same with your faith.

Your assumption is a giant leap sir. You are telling someone you have never met, have no idea where he is or what he currently does that you know more about him in a certain area? As a lawyer, is that even tenable in court?

People USUALLY plead guilty when their lawyers advice them it's better to do so.
- Pleading guilty and getting 2 years means if you go to trail and are found guilty by a jury, you will definitely get much more; in this case probably 5 to 10 years.
- Not everyone has enough money to pay lawyers indefinitely especially after one has exhausted their life's savings or their accounts have been frozen.

All in all, MY POINT REMAINS jail term for these guys is wrong; else the CEOs of Moneygram and Western Union should be in jail for life. Yahoo Boys have sent billions of stolen money through them, and all that has ever happened is fines.

Do you have any idea how many nigerians and non nigerians/africans/indians/chinese are millionaires in western countries with very big businesses and clean records because they follow rules? you think these guys were singled out because of what?

I've never even heard of this business until this news came up even though I patronise more often companies with african owners for international transactions

It’s a plea deal, so defendants have to plead to “knowingly” breaking the law…
Last year JP Morgan took a similar plea on fraudulent wire transfers, but their executives were NOT jailed.

When evidences presented cannot be denied. Why would you plead guilty if you are innocent?

Leave Peng guys, they broke the rule and they already punisdhed. The question is when are they going to jail the CEO of western union or moneygram, except u telling me they can defend all transfers sent down to Africa including those sent to internet scammers.

Has any Western Union or moneygram ceos, managers, been investigated and has admitted to fraud? Please state facts. While I understand that western companies are high handed when dealing with foreign businesses, then again they do so to themselves. Countless American and British businesses owned by their own citizens have also fallen under the long arm of the law.

My country people amuse me all the time. Abroad is not Nigeria. If you cannot do business according to the regulations of thay business which you consented to follow, you will get into trouble. Here if you must break a law, do so smartly because someone is watching you!

This story is really inaccurate.

Neither of these two guys were accused of stealing or fraud, but rather not stopping fraudsters? But why has the same system not sent the CEO of Western Union and Moneygram to jail?.

This is really unfortunate.

news:

It went further to state that the company’s Information Technology/Business Development Manager, Aleoghena Okhumale, was said to have also pleaded guilty to knowingly transmitting illegally-derived funds

But the company's business development manager pleaded guilty to knowingly transmitting illegally derived funds. He may have admitted under oath to evidences that that nailed his 2 bosses.

Unless you have valid proof that they haven't contravened any law then it is you who's clearly calling the the racist card.

There are numerous cases where Western Union had been fined hundreds of millions of dollars too.

And now that's the problem with Nigerians and why the country is likely to be in a turmoil. What you've written up there doesn't make any sense and more than 100 nigerians liked your posts.

Not quite sure what to think about this refugee issue, to be frank, I don't really think the UK will ever send anyone to Rwanda. In Manchester when you see all those curly hair people hanging out and making noise in Piccadilly Gardens (are they Somalis abi Eritreans/Ethiopians?), I feel both sympathetic and annoyed at the same time, because while I fully understand they are refugees and have gone through a lot, but I get the feeling that oyibo dey use dem measure all black people at the same level.

I tend to agree with the bolded, but its difficult moral ground. The UK response to the Ukraine thing was obviously somehow unfair - we go take our "own" people with no stress - they opened the doors wide, dash them benefits and everything for 3 years, people come dey halla Home Office for delaying their visas, etc., etc., something that of course no other non-oyibo country fit get. On the other hand, can you really blame them for the discrimination?

Difficult conundrum.

Curly hair people making noise? Really? Do nigerians not make noise? And what do you think brits think of a group of nigerians making noise?? You
would cry if you know what they think of that. Finally, you are annoyed at refugees that have the same color as you? Patriotic fanaticism to an adopted country is the height of inferiority complex. very rich of you I must say, especially coming from a Nigerian. We think of ourselves more than what we really are internationally.

Check service history if the car has any. Service history is important, because otherwise you might have to invest in some expensive brushing up maintenance when you buy (timing belt, brake pads, etc). Check the tyres too carefully, so you don't have to start replacing them immediately or soon after you buy, tyres are expensive (no tokunbo or chinko to help the less deep-pocketed here). Get yourself breakdown insurance (very worthwhile investment), all of them, RAC, AA, Green Flag are all the same, so choose any you like, add indispensable kit like a tyre pump and you're good to go. Check when the MOT's due, so you have some breathing space in between buying and doing the next one.

Just remember that old cars of that price range will have high mileage so will have almost zero resale value, so once you buy, you'll most likely have to scrap it when you're done with it. Also remember that at that price point, any sizeable repair (think clutch replacement, for instance) might mean simply scrapping the car and buying another.

Thanks

You should check Insurance and Road Tax for any car you are buying too. Old cars tend to have higher premiums I suppose.

Thank you. I'd like to confirm. Do I pay the insurance before I pick up the vehicle ?

Also as an international license holder, can I pally insurance monthly or has to be annually?

Hey bro. Wanna get a car soon enough. What car would you recommend. My budget is between 1200-1700 max. I don't wanna be stuck with a bad pump or electrical issue driving in a foreign country. Something you think maybe reliable. I'll appreciate a kind suggestion

Everyone here saying what God cannot do does not exist and calling the name of God thanking him because of your visa.

I hope that when you get to the U.K you will not profane the name of God by getting involved in crime? The last Nigerian I met here was already trying to convince an oriental to do drugs.
