Nice one. I agree with you.. I went to Lasu and had my fair share of ASUU strikes but I used the time to pursue other things I loved:make-up and how to fix nails.. Now, away from home, they are useful ways for me to make money while I'm studying at postgrad level. Please don't whine about some situations you can't control, rather, be proactive and stand out from thos who complain.. quote author=infoscope]Nice one Mod. A little advice to Nigerian students; instead of sitting down in your house and grumble about ASUU and FG, make yourself productive. Look for something doing, it might just be that opportunity that will propel you into something big. Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise. Have a positive attitude and I bet you wont regret it when the strike is finally called off[/quote]
Family / Re: 8-month Old Baby Stabbed 90 Times With Scissors By His Mother by MsAlakada: 2:55pm On Jul 29, 2014
Aww, eyah.. Mtchew.. O ga. Sorry o Xiao Bao.. Your mother wasn't ready ni or something just sparked in her head for a few minutes.. Hmm, na wa.. One needs to be mentally, emotionally and physically ready to raise a baby. It's not just about having a baby (that is, getting pregnant and going through all the nine months or whenever the baby arrived, which is no joke) but raising the baby that is the most important. Babies change someone's entire life and this includes breastfeeding too.. I have a friend whose 9month old baby would turn his head around while being fed through the breast, whenever he hears a sound, you know, just to see what's going on! Imagine that.. And he of course proceeded to biting the booby when he had teeth. She wanted to breastfeed him for a year.

Anyways, that's just an example of your 'personal shakara item' before you got married/have a baby becoming used anyhow by a baby but someone mentally and physically ready for that would not stab the baby which shows that there should be a test to ascertain if someone is ready to be a mother..

This answers some of our questions at least!
ifyn4real: US STATE DEPARTMENT EBOLA ALERT
In order to help our Embassy Community better understand some key points about Ebola virus we consulted with our medical specialists at the U S State Department & assembled this list below, worded in plain language for easy understanding.
• The suspected reservoirs for Ebola are fruit bats.

• Transmission to humans is thought to originate from infected bats or primates that have become infected by bats. Undercooked infected bat and primate (bush) meat transmits the virus to humans.

• Human to human transmission is only achieved by physical contact with a person who is acutely and gravely ill from Ebola virus or their body fluids.

• Transmission among humans is almost exclusively among caregiver family members or health care workers tending to the very ill.

• The virus is easily killed by contact with soap, bleach, sunlight, or drying. A washing machine will kill the virus in clothing saturated with infected body fluids.

• A person can incubate the virus without symptoms for 2-21 days, the average being 5-8 days before becoming ill. THEY ARE NOT CONTAGIOUS until they are acutely ill.

• Only when ill does the viral load express itself first in the blood and other bodily fluids (e.g vomit, feaces, urine, breast milk, semen and sweat).

• If you are walking around you are not infectious to others. • There r documented cases from Kikwit, DRC of an Ebola outbreak in a village that had the custom of children never touching an ill adult.Children living for days in one room huts with parents who died from Ebola did not become infected

. • You cant contract Ebola by handling money or swimming in a pool.

•There's no medical reason to stop flights, close borders, restrict travel or close embassies, businesses or schools.

• Always practice good hand washing techniques, you will not contract Ebola if you do not touch a dying person.
Pls share this information & try not to spread panic on social media.Stay Safe & WellHappy Eid.
