Hello House! It always heart warming reading all the comments here. @Modele35: Thanks jare. I am seriously working on it. Trump will favour us oh, by God's grace. No shaking!

Please is it true that one can book flights from the US instead of booking from here to save cost? Someone advised me to try.

Hello House! Sorry I have been MIA and had a bit of catching up to do. Thanks to everyone who responded on my previous post. This Host/Guest matter, God will help us. All pregnant women abi women sef should please know that body no be wood, we should take care of ourselves well. Don't say I can do it and now mess up your body cos you want to please anyone.
I have been on bed rest for some days now, and truth is- since I had my first baby I have been unable to do most of the things I used to previously. I am an Engineer, The nature of my job involves climbing ladders. During my first pregnancy, I did it till I was 7 months and traveled to have my baby. I just cant stand having some guy wasting my time, I will do it myself. I hardly eat what someone else cooks, i wash my clothes. In Florida, I spent most of my time on my feet and had to run on several occasions to catch up with my host. Mind you, I carried a spitting can for 11 months oh, which they said was disgusting, yet they made me cook their meals.

She will scream at me as if I am a baby, when I got a phone line online without her knowledge, she was angry cos she expected me to use her house line so she could pick d extension. MIL told me not to call any of my family members in d US to come check me oh, so SIL doesn't get angry...all sorts of unspeakable things. I really dint want to be a burden to her and tried as much as possible to pull my weight, which I really did. She wants me back now, who no like jackie?

If I were a burden to her, she wouldn't be virtually begging for me to come back, plus she can get this baby's papers too. I will birth my baby in Naija if that is the only option I have oh, I have told DH. After I had my first baby,my legs will just swell up for no reason and a lot of other health problems. I intend to enjoy this coming missionary journey.

It's better to plan ahead, and find people that you can share with if u cant afford accommodation. God bless our hustle, It will not be in vain.

Woman that is almost due should clean, mop and vacuum? undecided If she was not around, would you not still do it? Let us have human kindness in all that we do. I have had people come from US/Europe to stay with me and i would never ever tell them to clean and mop not to mention a heavily pregnant woman.

Abeg help me oh.Some people can be really mean, especially inlaws. On my first missionary journey, I stayed with SIL and MIL, it was very bad. i cleaned, cooked and had no life of my own. There were 3 adults in the house and each one would wake up and decide they wanted to eat different meals. As a proper yoruba girl, I did not complain cos I thought it would help me to be stronger, but the one that got me was after I had my baby, before I left She specifically asked me to clean her house before leaving. I cleaned everywhere.

She was in Nigeria last year in my house, and offered no help. I would go to work, come back home and still cook for her. She poisoned my maid, all sorts oh. I tolerated it. This year, when she came about a month ago, I just discovered I was pregnant, plus malaria so I wasn't ready to stress myself and no maid. She blew up and said all sorts of non-sense to me oh, even threatened that if she tells me hubby he will send me away. I was just laughing in my mind. She don see jackie- on this second journey, she will kill herself cos I ain't going no where. The bills were extra high in her state and she dint allow me make any decisions, I had to do most of my shopping online, I wasnt allowed to go out and had to go only where she wanted. although she took me for all my appointments. She dint help with any of the bills oh (Not like we needed her to), but when I was leaving the US, she asked me for baby's SSN and Birth cert. Fast forward this year, she needs him to come to the US cos they fined her for not getting insurance for him (She wont pay for ticket oh!)! She actually filed him without informing us. Me I have had enough, and that's the reason why i dint travel back for any sort of vacation after I had my baby in 2014. Now that I am going to have this baby, I dont even intend to take my 2 year old.

Please I need pointers on how to block the filing she did on my son's SSN. Thank you, peops.

My last missionary journey was to Florida- Sanford. My opinion is their bill are high.

I used one Doctor Coffield at Heathrow Obgyn, Hosp was Central Florida Regional Hospital. Breakdown;

Doctors fee- 4548
Hospital came with a bill of 14000 ( I was mad!) We finally settled at 2539.3
Epidural was 3500
Circumcision 536
I have to check to confirm the rest, but you can judge from wt i have stated already. It is will
Wish I knew about Nairaland then. cry

Gagat:

I really can't understand why people like being judgemental, abeg. Are you God? I applied for a visa in 2014 when I was 5 months pregnant and was really scared cos my husband had been denied 5 times. I did not declare I was pregnant and wasn't asked. The guy at the interview was friendly and answered most of his own questions himself reading through my application. The visa was granted.

At Poe, immediately i placed my fingers on the scanner, the officer frowned and asked; 'How far along are you?' (I was'nt really showing oh) I told her 7 months and she sent me for secondary questioning where I met an FBI-looking officer. Asked me why I was there and i told her to visit my SIL and see if I can afford childbirth. She asked how much I had, 2k dolls but I had my cards so no issues. I kept eye contact all through, she looked me in the eye and said; 'whatever you do, pay all your bills yourself and get a zero balance for all'. Good luck. I dint even spend up to 30 mins. No be God?

I had my heart in my throat oh, but kept praying in my mind. I was so tired.

I dint use the Visa again after then, due to dollar hikes and all the wahala that came along with it. I wasnt even planning renewing it when it expired September 9th 2016. I discovered I was pregnant on the 16th of September 2016 so i quickly rushed to do my dropbox. My friends that did it previously told me the stress they went through, phone interview and all. One even got denied and had to reapply before being granted. Long story short, me I applied and got my visa 3 days after- no interview. Na God oh!

Just joined NL yesterday imagine if I had all this information 2 years ago? God will favour you no matter what mistake you have made. Just pray and trust.

If anybody has any actual advice for me concerning this issue, I'll be very grateful.
