Got the PPR mail. I've been a silent follower of this thread and can’t help but share my story too. Only God can repay everyone contributing to make this thread an invaluable one. I just recommend this thread to anyone that asks me about EE.

ECA: ICES BSC
Score: 1035
ITA: 30th October 2019
AOR: 8th November 2019

PPR: 16th November 2020

Single Applicant.

Decision to Travel
First heard about express entry in January 2017 from my uncle. At that time, I was thinking I’m already in the US and should not need to move. Will probably find a job to file for me or a wife (people make it seem so easy). Fast forward to November 2018, I thought I didn’t want a status to determine my marriage and getting a straight PR makes more sense. I started researching the process and making moves.

ECA
My school’s registrar is a family friend so it was pretty much easy to run. I used ICES but can’t remember how long it took.

IELTS (LRSW)
I did not prepare much for the exam. I started looking for available date in November 2018. The earliest I saw at first was March 2019 and I felt it was too far away. Kept searching and in December, as I was about to go on a travel, I saw an opening for first week of January. I registered and was able to pay before liftoff. I basically used 2 weeks to prepare and with God, I passed.

ITA
I was on 435 and the cutoff that period was around 450 or so. I was in grad school but didn’t want to wait till after to start the process. It was my back up plan though. Luckily, Ontario invited me to apply for their nomination around August and I did. I applied same week because I had easy access to most of the documents. Was approved after 2months and got ITA on October 30th. I submitted my application on November 8th and got AOR instantly. Paid for the application and RPRF once because I read somewhere that it makes one’s application faster…sighs!

REFERENCE LETTER
Easy to get too. Submitted the reference letter from the only

POF
Took a risk here and thankfully, it paid off. I decided to use my naira account, same one I used for my Ontario application. I was not in a position to leave almost 4m sitting in my account for 6months. I had to make huge deposits after the ITA, submitted an LOE stating that the huge deposit was because I had to pull funds from my business and investments. I made sure to transfer the chunk from an account in my name though.

PCC
Getting both FBI clearance and Nigeria PCC was pretty much straightforward too.

AOR/MEP/BIL
June 25/July 25/July 26

POST AOR
I was confident the PPR would come fast, probably before the 6months timeline but how I was wrong. After submitting in November 2019, I just left it and focused on school. Graduated in February 2020 but still was not worried about the application yet. After 4 months, I decided to raise a CSE to figure my visa office and was told Nova Scotia. I remained calmed till ending of April when it was almost 6months. I started thinking about what could have gone wrong. Maybe it was the huge deposit. Sent a CSE and got the normal reply that they are still working on it. After the 6months elapsed, I decided to call them, I was told everything is cleared which calmed me down. Been waiting since then, sending some CSE but getting the generic response. On the 9th of August, I ordered for my GCMS, got it on the 27th and saw Review required. Everything is passed but the huge deposit was mentioned. I started wondering what to do…submit a new statement or not. Decided to wait for an ADR if needed. Sent another CSE asking for the status in October but got the generic response still. Nov 4th, a friend shared a post with me about someone whose COPR expired before IRCC got back to them saying an agent advised contacting them about readiness to travel when everything looks good on the GCMS. I decided to try it. I sent them this in a CSE on the same day: “I will like to state that I am ready to travel and to know the current status of my application. I ordered my GCMS notes and everything looks good but there is still no update on my profile in months. I have heard of people's COPR getting expired before they even get the ready for passport email and do not want that happening to me. Also, my medicals expires next week. Will I be doing a new one or it will be extended for me?”

PPR
After a full week without any reply, I decided to order another GCMS last week Friday and also tried calling but couldn’t get through. I was going to continue calling on Monday but woke up to find the mail sitting there, waiting for me. Thought I was dreaming or imagining it at first but it is real and I am so grateful. Hope and pray it ends happily for everyone on this journey.
