Politics / Lady Of Justice ⚖ And The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (pept)* by munajones: 11:56am On Sep 04, 2023
By Hanson Paul

The Symbolism of the Lady of Justice in the World's Legal system is Globally adopted in the administration of Justice.

The Lady of Justice is the moral compass across all judicial systems and the ultimate symbol of impartiality and fairness that apply to everyone regardless of power, religion, race, and status.

Therefore We wish to remind our Honourable Justices at the Presidential Elections Petition Tribunal (PEPT) that;

*1.THE BLIND FOLD SIGNIFIES*; Objectivity,Fairness to all and Impartiality in the administration of justice.

*2.THE TOGA/ROPE SIGNIFIES;*
The mantle of responsibility and high level philosophy that accompanies those who practice law and enforce Justice.

*3.DOUBLE EDGED SWORD;* Symbolises Authority,Respect and Fair Rulling

*4.THE SCALE symbolises* a thorough weighing of the evidences and Claims presented before her.

As the stipulated time frame for the conclussion of pettition at the Tribunal and date for delivery of Judgement draws near it's therefore a time of Test for our Judiciary and we believe the Justices will abide by the ethics of the noble Legal profession to
*SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY!!*

Politics / A Call For Justices In Nigeria by munajones: 12:55pm On Aug 18, 2023
The call for Justice in Nigeria
We might not all be as wonderful as Martin Luther King Jr., Tafawa Balewa, Nnamdi Azikiwe, or Nelson Mandela, but we can all strive to be like them. They spoke up for justice and fought against injustice and oppression.

Our justice system in Nigeria has be stomped upon for year , the rule of law have been under serious attack from leaders and political actors that have used their wealth and influence to deny justice being served. What was known as the voice of the common man is gradually becoming the forces against the common man.

The call for Justice today has never been this loud , the voices of Nigerians are all over the globe demanding for justices and fairness in our judicial system because a dysfunctional judicial system means that the poor and vulnerable are denied justice.

All Eye are set on the Judiciary because without an independent judiciary Nigeria cannot have a functioning democracy, our judicial system must be strengthened to ensure that democracy can thrive, therefore we call on the judiciary to remain steadfast in upholding the principles of fairness, equity and justice no matter the pressure, it must uphold the rule of law and ensure that justice is served without delay.

As concerned Nigerians we shall continue to call on the judiciary to do the right thing without fear or intimidation, we will continue as citizens because judicial scrutiny will prevent the possibility of unqualified candidate assuming the presidency, it is our duty as citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to protect our nation from potential harm.

A call for Justice is to remind Nigerians that Justice has a voice it was heard in Malawi and then in Kenya, it will be heard in Nigeria and heaven will not fall.

Concerned Nigerians.

International Youth Day: Concerned Nigerian Youth call on the Judiciary to “do the right thing”

We own the future, and the future is now!
All young people worldwide should take note of today's significance as we commemorate another international youth day.

We salute the enthusiasm, energy, and promise of young people everywhere on this wonderful occasion.
Since the youth are unquestionably the leaders of the future and the change-makers of today, we want to take this occasion to reiterate our commitment to magnify the voice of the youth.

As young people pushing for a better Nigeria, we walked to the streets to remind Nigerians that despite our joy, we should never lose sight of our call for a better Nigeria—one that can care for its expanding youth, one that works, and one that respects the rule of law.

We are committed to making Nigeria a better place, and in order to do so, we urge the judiciary to uphold the law during these hard times. The judiciary responsibility to the people is a key component of democracy.
Let's keep a close eye on how the presidential tribunal plays out to make sure the procedure is fair and just.

As we celebrate today we call on the judiciary to do the right thing, A new Nigeria is possible and heaven will not fall .

Politics / Restructuring by munajones: 1:19pm On Nov 21, 2022
Mr Abubakar said he would achieve this by decongesting the exclusive and the concurrent list in the constitution while the central government would also retain the role of providing the required direction for the economy, defence and national security, internal law and order, currency, international affairs and foreign policy, customs, citizenship and immigration, firearms, and related matters.
He said that issues bordering on minerals and mines, internal security including police, law and order, railways, communications, transport, environment, land matters, etc, would be devolved to the concurrent list while local governments shall become an independent tier of government and that federating units will be supported in economic management.
Nigeria’s common resources will be shared equitably in accordance with a new revenue allocation formula to be negotiated across the board.

Politics / Atiku Okowa In Gombe by munajones: 11:32am On Nov 21, 2022
The Nigerian economy is crawling rather than growing. Per capita income, a measure of citizens’ well-being, has progressively fallen since 2015 because of declining output and a fast-growing population. Nigerians are worse-off today than they were in 2015.

It is important to first understand where we are because policy prescriptions must always be preceded by diagnosis. So, before I outline the contours of my economic growth and development agenda, permit me to remind ourselves of the key challenges facing the economy.

It's time for us to Recovery Nigeria from the shackles of APC by Voting in an experience and capable leader for the job ahead.

What we seeing is what we know APC for, it pains them to see an opposition succeed. I will DNT blame premium time it's due to the lack of funding on their part that's why we see them carrying out fake news in other to be funded or not close down by the government of the Day. Sahara paper did worse and was used too by APC against Gooodluck Jonathan. On the part of Governor Bala his a great man and has no criminal records.
Politics / Protesters Demand Oshiomhole’s Sack Read More At: Https://www.vanguardngr.com/2 by munajones: 5:14pm On Feb 17, 2020
A handful of protesters have besieged the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC, demanding the sack of the party’s National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.

The protesters under the aegis of the APC Young Stakeholders, were at the party Secretariat as early as 11:00 am wielding placards with various inscriptions such as; “Oshiomhole Must Go”, “Oshiomhole go home”, “We are tired of losing” etc.

A spokesman of the protesters identified as Mathias Omikpa, said young stakeholders in the party were tired of the strings of reversals of the party’s electoral fortunes occasioned by the attitude of the party leader.

He said: “It is time for Oshiomhole to go, we are tired of this downward trend. The National Chairman has brought nothing but misfortunes to our party from Zamfara to Rivers now Bayelsa. We are calling on President Muhammadu Buhari and our National Leader, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu to intervene.” Details later…
