Politics / 2023 Presidency: Wike Reveals The Most Qualified Person To Take Over From Buhari by MurffyX(m): 6:38am On Feb 03, 2022 |
The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has declared himself as the most qualified person to become the next president of Nigeria in 2023. Wike stated that he possesses the charisma, experience, and every other attribute needed to move Nigeria forward. Naija News reports the Rivers State Governor made the submission on Tuesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today. According to him, if he decides to contest the 2023 presidency, he has the capabilities to provide the best leadership for Nigeria and ensure citizens of the country benefit. “For somebody of my kind and record, a governor and a minister, I don’t even see anybody who will tell me that he is much more qualified than me, I don’t think that is possible,”Wike said. “Assuming today I want to run for the office of the President, what quality do you think I do not have? Why do you think I cannot provide the right leadership for Nigeria to move forward? “It is not good for anybody to say ‘my aspirant is the best of the aspirants. I don’t think so. All I preach is that people should talk on issues. Nigeria has a problem. If they have given you the opportunity, what are you going to do to make sure that Nigerians benefit?” Meanwhile, the convener of Concerned Nigerian movement, Deji Adeyanju, has described former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi as an attractive presidential candidate. He, however, stated that Obi does not stand the chance to win the primary of the Peoples Democratic Party or defeat the All Progressives Congress at the general election. Adeyanju made this claim in a series of posts on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

Bruno3000: Your Problem is Tinnitus What is Tinnitus? Tinnitus, commonly referred to as ‘ringing in the ears’, is the perception of sound in the ear when none is present. Tinnitus often presents itself as a ringing sound, though sounds such as chirping, buzzing, humming, hissing, roaring, and other noises are common. Interestingly, Tinnitus itself is not a disease or disorder, but rather a symptom of another underlying condition. What Causes Tinnitus? “In most cases, tinnitus is a sensorineural reaction in the brain to damage in the ear and auditory system While noise-induced hearing loss is a common cause, there are over 200 different health disorders that can cause tinnitus as a symptom. Other common causes include age-related hearing loss, obstruction or blockage of the middle ear (often times impacted ear wax), head, neck, or brain trauma, certain prescription drugs, as well as a number of medical conditions and diseases. |
Health / Stop Taking Excess Of These 3 Drugs, They Can Make You DEAF by MurffyX(m): 12:31pm On Oct 24, 2021 |
I will highlight three drugs in this article today that will hurt your hearing and make you probably go deaf. if you take them in excess This is why you must be really serious about this piece of knowledge, just as you did with my other posts. And you never know who you can help, please share with others, too. The ear is a crucial part of our bodies; it is the ear organ. If you lose your hearing power, you become immediately deaf. You can not hear yourself speak as plainly as you can while you can’t hear what others do. You speak in your own ears, just as you speak, Unpleasant right. I will highlight three drugs in this article today that will hurt your hearing and make you probably go deaf. if you take them in excess This is why you must be really serious about this piece of knowledge, just as you did with my other posts. And you never know who you can help, please share with others, too. Then let’s go. Yeah, let’s go. The ear is a crucial part of our bodies; it is the ear organ. If you lose your hearing power, you become immediately deaf. You can not hear yourself speak as plainly as you can while you can’t hear what others do. You speak in your own ears, just as you speak, Unpleasant right. It is really simple to see that these drugs kill eardrums. But I’m not going to bore too many of the physiological processes. I am just going to try and explain it in very simple terms. Please keep an eye on it. These are the three ( 3) medications that can harm and make you sordid. 1. GENTAMYCIN 2. NEOMYCIN 3. STREPTOMYCIN These medications are antibiotics known as AMINOGLYCOSIDS. It is used to treat various types of infections, particularly streptococcal infections, staphylococcal infections, etc. Aspirin and NSAIDs can also induce hearing loss (like ibuprofen, diclofenac). However, the amount of listening loss is much lower. These drugs can cause hearing loss through: 1. Side effects: they can cause hearing loss at the ordinary dose. Therefore, a doctor or pharmacist should be taken with your medication for individualized care. Effects on the side: Please do not go to a drug store and inquire about these medications without first ensuring that the body will not be affected negatively. 2. Effect of overdose or inappropriate intake. You should be conscious that, for example, medications are not the most common ways of doing things: 1. If you miss a dosage of your medication, it is unethical to take extra doses to compensate for your missing dose. You are also subject to serious health damage because of overdose. 2. Secondly, you do not need to increase the drug dose if you see that the normal dosage of this medication does not work for you. It is also mistaken and dangerous. These habits can contribute to overconsumption of medicines that can damage the ears and cause hearing loss. How do you hurt your ears or cause hearing loss? When you take these drugs, they enter the ear cavity and wreck vital buildings like the cochlear, the lobby, and semi-circular conduits. And because the ear is a very sensitive organ, there can be very little damage to the hearing. Please note: before complete hearing loss, you will experience tinnitus which is not produced by an external environment. You can hear a pinching long sound in the ears If you hear this sound, please see the doctor as quickly as possible.

As a judge what will you do ?. will you look at the case as a fresh murder or will you look at it as a crime she already served the term? Please share your views and thoughts.

Politics / Tinubu: What I Said About His 2023 Presidential Ambition – Shina Peller by MurffyX(m): 5:11am On Oct 12, 2021 |
Popular lawmaker and businessman, Shina Peller has debunked reports that he spoke against the 2023 presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. The lawmaker in a statement on Sunday said he was quoted out of context by some platforms saying he is against the presidential ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader. Peller, who represents Iseyin/Itesiwaju/ Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency of Oyo State in the House of Representatives submitted that he only demanded a fair and just process in choosing the candidate of the party. He added that Tinubu remains a political father to him and they enjoy a good relationship, hence he has no reason to speak against the APC leader’s presidential ambition. “My attention has been drawn to the news on blogs quoting me to have said that the APC Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should not be anointed as next president. Sadly, it is a misrepresentation of what I said. To set the record straight, I have nothing against our leader or his presidential ambition. I have enjoyed a father and son relationship with him for years, and it remains so,”Peller stated. He added that,“I commented on the age-long political style of forcing candidates down the throats of the citizens, without thinking of the principles of equity, equality, and fairness. “I stated that the rest of the world is leaving Nigeria behind in terms of rapid growth and development and only through strong institutions, can we collectively make just decisions for visible progress in the country, especially in our electioneering process. “The next general election is a reset period for our dear country. We must get it right! Our collective decision must be based on promoting peace and unity.” Meanwhile, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that only God gives and takes life.

Crime / Endsars: Nigeria Dissolves Dreaded Police Unit, Announces Police Reforms by MurffyX(m): 4:14pm On Oct 11, 2020 |
The Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has announced the dissolution of the dreaded police unit, Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS or FSARS). The police chief also announced major police reforms including the formation of an investigative team, which will include civil society and human right groups, for the purpose of “investigating alleged cases of human rights violations” by the police. The dissolution of the SARS is coming on the heels of the #EndSARS protest nationwide. The IGP, who reports directly to the Nigerian president from whom he receives directives, made the announcement on Sunday afternoon at a press conference at the force headquarters. A statement on the announcement was also circulated by the police spokesperson, Frank Mba. The SARS, a police unit, has been accused of extortion, harassment and murder of many young Nigerians. PREMIUM TIMES has reported on the protests during which at least one protester has been killed. The police have violently dispersed the protest in many Nigerian cities. Despite the police’s action, the protesters remained undeterred with many local and international celebrities joining in the call for police reform. NEW ARRANGEMENT The police chief in his address noted that the need to dissolve the anti-robbery unit was as a result of the protest that has rocked the country for over five days. Read Also #EndSARS: Amnesty International ‘documenting’ police brutality on protesters #EndSARS: Police attack PREMIUM TIMES journalist covering Abuja protest Aisha Yesufu’s iconic Twitter photo energises #EndSARS protesters “In the finest spirit of democratic, citizen-centred and community policing, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, NPM, mni has today, 11th October, 2020, dissolved the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) across the 36 State Police Commands and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) where they hitherto existed,” Mr Mba said in the statement. “The IGP, while noting that the dissolution of SARS is in response to the yearnings of the Nigerian people, observes that by this dissolution, all officers and men of the now-defunct Special Anti-robbery Squad are being redeployed with immediate effect.” He said the police is not oblivious of the ever-present need to combat armed robbery, kidnapping and other violent crimes in the country which he said was before now the core mandate of the erstwhile squad. He also announced that a new policing arrangement to address anticipated policing gaps the dissolution of SARS would cause has been evolved and shall be announced in due course. “Meanwhile, as part of measures to prevent a re-occurrence of events that gave rise to the dissolution of SARS, a Citizens’ and Strategic Stakeholders’ Forum is being formed to regularly interface with Police leadership at all levels and advise on police activities as they affect the general public.” “In addition, the Force is constituting an Investigation Team which shall include Civil Society Organizations and Human Rights Bodies to work with the Police in investigating alleged cases of human rights violations.” According to him, the new measure will enhance transparency and accountability in police services as well as providing a system of deterrence for erring police officers whose action clearly violates the rights of the ‘documenting’ police brutality on protesters “The IGP appreciates and commends all citizens particularly those who genuinely express their concerns for a better policing orientation in an organized, patriotic and civil manner.” “He reaffirms the determination of the Force to bequeath to the country a Police Force and System that is professional in service delivery and most importantly, accountable to the people,” he said.

Politics / JUST IN: Gbajabiamila Gives Akpabio 48 Hours To Name Lawmakers Awarded NDDC Cont by MurffyX(m): 1:22pm On Jul 21, 2020 |
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, has given the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, 48 hours to publish the names of lawmakers who were awarded contracts by Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as well as the details of the contracts. Should the minister fail to publish the names, the speaker said the full the House will employ the full wrath to ensure he does so. The ultimatum comes a day after the minister claimed that most of the contracts awarded by the NDDC were awarded to lawmakers. During a testy appearance before the House Committee on NDDC on Monday, Senator Akpabio claimed that the lawmakers were “the greatest beneficiaries” of NDDC contracts. Asked how the lawmakers benefitted, he said: “I just told you that we have records to show that most of the contracts in the NDDC are given out to members of the National Assembly.” The Speaker, who accused Senator Akpabio of pulling the oldest trick in the book with the claims, believes the minister owes it the country to publish the names in the interest of transparency. On Thursday, Gbajabiamila had to intervene in the sitting of the committee after the Acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Daniel Pondei, slumped while being grilled about spendings by the commission. He had called for calm and assured all those invited to appear before the committee that the invites were in the interest of the country and not targetted at anyone. Stressing that it was a fact-finding mission, he wished Pondei quick recovery and urged the committee to proceed quickly and wrap up its investigations, stressing that Pondei had already submitted documents to them. While issuing an ultimatum to Senator Akpabio about his claims, Gbajabiamila, however, said the committee had the right to invite Pondei again should it feel the need to do so.

Politics / Obaseki Didn’t Give Us N15b To Get Ticket, Says PDP by MurffyX(m): 7:39am On Jul 20, 2020 |
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, of peddling falsehood following his allegation that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket was sold to Governor Godwin Obaseki at N15billion. Speaking in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, at the weekend, the Edo PDP Campaign Council said there was no truth in Ize-Iyamu’s allegation. The leader of the Publicity Committee of the council, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, accompanied by other members of the committee like Senator Dino Melaye, wondered where the governor would have drawn such amount of money to give to the party. Dokpesi said it was unimaginable that Ize-Iyamu, who defected to the PDP in 2016 to contest a similar position without giving anybody a dime, would be making such an allegation. He asked the people to ignore what he referred to as the propaganda and lies of the APC, saying the allegation was designed to pitch PDP members in Edo against their leaders. Said he: “I don’t know from which of the resources we would have expected Obaseki to have drawn N15billion to give to who? When Ize-Iyamu left APC, did he give anybody a dime to come into PDP and run on its platform in 2016? There is no iota of truth in that allegation. It is part of the known propaganda and lies that APC parades at all times. “To who did he give the money? Is it to the leaders, the governors, members of Board of Trustees (BoT)? It is arrant nonsense and an unacceptable allegation. It is to incite the PDP followers in Edo State that their leaders had been ‘settled’ and they didn’t get any portion of that.” Dokpesi warned that federal might would not work in Edo, saying any attempt to deploy such might would be resisted with the people’s power. He said the majority of Edo voters were behind the PDP, while many APC members were abandoning their party to join the PDP. Dokpesi said: “If they are thinking of federal might, we are thinking of people’s might. Go and check what has been happening in Edo State. People have been moving in droves from the APC to the PDP in all wards.” |
