sogodihno: I av to disagree on one point sir: Medical is not restricted to doctors, because if it's restricted to doctors, den d word "medical doctor" will b tautology. Tanks
it is used that way to distinguish doctors that that treat medical ailment from other doctors such as academic doctors in the university with phd degree.

Health / Re: Consultancy Position For Other Health Worker Aside Medical Doctors. by musaak: 8:21pm On Jul 21, 2014
musaak: It is high time we take the issues that lead to NMA srike one by one and debate it intellectually rather than all this name calling and abuse. Now to the issue of consultancy status. Other health worker want to be appointed as consultants in the hospital while doctors are against it. I want each professional group to come out and argue intellectually including the doctor to address the following questions. 1) who is a consultant in hospital? 2) what are the roles of a consultant in my profession in patient care? 3)What is the relationship between a consultant in my proffesion to the patient? 4)Why it is not good to appoint other proffessional groups as consultant in hospital setting? 5)In what field of my profession can someone become a consultant? 6) how is my duty as a consultant in my proffession going to be different what it is presently? 7) does the hospital setting have a space for me to perform such duty? cool what training is required to become appointable as consultant in my proffession? 9)How do i go about this training? 10)Are there training institutions in nigeria or elsewhere? PLEASE NO INSULT, NO NAME CALLING. Just argue for or against what you want and what you dont want base on ur proffession. It is meant to drive home ur demand.
I will keep my fingers crossed till all the parties involve will come out to discuss the issues. I wonder why it is only insult and name calling that we engage ourselves in rather than intellectual discussion.

Health / Re: Nma Strike: The Patients's Perspective by musaak: 9:49pm On Jul 19, 2014

nurse consultant in hospital has a defined role and specific area of training according to your link. The following should be made clear to avoid anarchy in the system. 1. What are the areas in our setting that needed specialist nurse? 2. What is the training program put in place to acheive such level of training and the qualification? 3. What are the exact role they are going to play? Until govt do the needful to answer these questions and then study the template in other part of the world where this practised and how applicable is to our setting, all these struggles and rivalry will not take the healthcare system in nigeria anywhere to envy
Health / Re: Health Sector The Match Towards TOPHET by musaak: 8:01pm On Jul 19, 2014
nursemyke: Note that it is the same patient they have told the world that they own and that all their actions is for the best interest of the patient. Today NMA/MDCAN who insisted that they must have a different salary structure are the ones imposing on the Government what other employees should earn.The same NMA/MDCAN that wrongfully accused JOHESU members of skipping andeven lost this matter in court is the one, now championing skipping for her members, even when doctors scheme of service does not grant such. What a double standard!

. Which doctor scheme of service does not allow skipping?. Skipping should cut across board for equity. why is Johesu against doctors skipping if they are skipping? Why does johesu want docor to be in a grade level that does not exit because they skip that level in scheme of service? Answer these questions to convince me that doctors demand about skipping is not geniune.

This suntai's issue is getting messy. Cant nigerians learn lessons from history. When yaradua was ill and the same manipulation of the true state of his health was done, we all condem it. Taraba pple are on it again. May God forgive this innocent man who does not know what is happening presently.

Health / Re: Doctors Must Not Head Hospitals, Health Workers Tell Minister by musaak: 3:28pm On Jan 24, 2013
Prettychyna: Support system as in ? Supporting the doctors or patients? The star of the healthcare system as far as am concerned is the patient. Everybody works to support the patient not any profession.SMH for naija mentality. Mr minister, the difference between the judicial system and healthcare system is that healthcare is a multi disciplinary system, no sole profession should claim responsibilty for what happens. Its only in nigeria that this kind of thing happens, what has clinical skill got to do with administrative skill? Mtcheeewwww
there is no significant difference in the organogram of judicial and health institution. Just like we have lawyer and other judicial officers in judiciary so also we have doctors and paramedics in health sector. The burdens are on the lawyers and doctors as the heads of the respective disciplines. Everybody learn administrative skill and apply at different levels in their profession. Doctors also learn administrative skills and apply it as the head of medical team.

He was asking you if you are from Enugu state because if you are, you would have heard that;

1. The deputy governor is firmly in control of the state and there is no problems of any type
2. The whole works initiated by the governor is still being sustained by the deputy.
3. Except if you want Sullivan to be pounding fufu for you in your kitchen, (joking) cheesy you should allow him rest after working so hard to earn our respect. Thank you.
sincerely ask urself question. Why demonstration/agitation by save enugu group(SEG) if all is okay
