I wiped the sweat off my face as I stepped back into the compound.

Keeping the gardens clean can be so stressful espe)cially when the sun is high up in the sky.

I headed straight to the bungalow building in the compound to freshen up.

I walked into the living room and saw Rosetta sitting idly. “There are still many things to do in the house, Rose. It’s Saturday morning. ”


Rosetta stood up angrily. ” Why is it always Joana and I doing all the work dad? What of Sarah? She lazy about doing nothing but staring like a princess!” Rosetta fumed.

I breathed in, remove my hat before taking a seat.

“Rose, I don’t want you talking to your younger sister that way. You can’t blame her for not being able to work. She’s handicapped. ” I replied softly.

“Well, I’m getting tired already!” She snapped and left.

I inhaled deeply again and watch her leave.

� SARAH �

I was trying to pull my shoes when the door opened. I turned back and sniffed the air. Immediately I knew it was Rosetta.

“You are so useless you know. You can’t even do the dishes! ” She yelled at me.

” Of course I can but father will be mad at me if I do. ” I responded.

She scoffed. ” Really? Well, I don’t care what dad is gonna say. Just go in there and be useful for once. ” She barked.


I nodded and started heading to the door opened with my stick.

I opened the door and traced my step to the kitchen.

� VICKER �

It was almost twelve noon and I was getting bored in the big house with maids.

I sneaked to mom’s room and found her sleeping.

Dad was out on a business trip as usual so no one is gonna stop me from going out.

I quickly stepped out of the house and headed straight to the bungalow building.

I knocked at the door and almost immediately, someone opened the door.

“Hi! Look who we have here! Master Vicker!” Joana blushed.

I smiled and looked past her. ” Is Sarah inside? I wanna see her ” I Said and was amazed to see Joanna’s face immediately changing into a big frown.


“You wanna see who?” She asked.

“Sarah .” I replied.

” You wanna see someone who doesn’t even know how you look like? “She asked with amusement.

I frowned slightly. ” Excuse me? She doesn’t know how I look like doesn’t mean I shouldn’t see her. “I replied.

” Well, she’s in the kitchen. Washing! ” Joanna replied.

” What? Washing? ” I asked.

” Yeah, she can’t be completely useless. At least, she eats. Doesn’t she? ” Joanna asked wickedly.

I shook my head. ” Can I see her?” I asked.

She stepped aside and I walked into the house. I could hear the sounds of plates crashing each other in the kitchen and I quickly walked towards the kitchen, ignoring the wicked grin on Joanna’s face.

“Vicker?” She asked immediately I got in.

I was amazed. How did she..?

“You knew it was me?” I asked, going nearer.

“I recognize people’s presence with the air around them but what are you doing here? It’s dangerous. ” She whispered.

I smiled, looking at her beautiful face. I took the soapy dish wash from her and continued washing the plate.

Sarah gasped and darted her dark eyeballs about. “No! You can’t do that please. Your mum…”

“It’s okay. My mom is fast asleep now, okay? You don’t have to worry.” I replied.

She smiled and nodded. ” Thank you, Vicker. Thanks.” She said, still smiling.

“You don’t have to thank me. I will always be here for you. Call me when you need help. “I said softly.

” Can I touch… your face? “Sarah suddenly asked.

I laughed.” Oh sure!” I chuckled and stood directly in front of her.

Sarah raised her hand in front of me and touched my hair then down my cheek bone. She traced her long nail down my jaw and gasped. “Vicker! You must be so cute!” She said and I laughed.

” How did you know? “I asked.

“When I touch things, I know exactly how they are gonna look. Right now, I have a picture of your face in my heart.” She said and I looked at her.

” Wow. That’s lovely.” I replied and laughed when she blushed.

She’s an amazing kid. I thought.

� JOANNA �

I was so furious at what I saw when I opened the door.

How dare her touch him with her dumb hands!

Why would Vicker come into our house just to wash dishes with her?

“We have to tell Mrs McDonald that her son is right here in our kitchen! ” Rosetta said angrily.

” Yes. I think you are right about that. Come on let’s go!” I snapped and together we both stormed out of the house.

� MRS MCDONALD�

“And where is my son? Rhea, have you seen Vic around?”

“No ma’am! ” The stupid maid replied sharply and disappeared.

I walked upstairs to his room but found it empty again.

I was immediately furious. “So many useless maids!!” I yelled angrily as I walked back downstairs.

Where could he have gone to!

Rhea walked towards me with one of the gardener’s daughters. “Ma! She’s here with young master’s whereabouts!”

I glared dangerously at her. ” Where is he?”

” In.. in.. our house. The kitchen.” She replied and I gasped out loud.

” Oh my! Where?” I screamed. “, That stinking hole? ” I cried.

” It’s…. It was …. My blind sister who invited him into the kitchen and made him wash dishes… ”

” How dare her! ” I yelled and stood up. ” Take me there! I’ve had enough of this!!” I yelled and stormed out of the house.

Furiously,I barged into the Gardener’s house and threw the stupid kitchen door open.

Then I saw them myself. “You dirty evil thing!” I yelled at the blind girl and raised my hand to slap her but to my utmost surprise, Vicker rushed forward and held my hand tightly.

“Mom! No you can’t!” He said aloud.

I gasped. ” Vicker, let go of me! She made you wash plates!!” I thundered.

” Mom,I came here myself and decided to help her. Please, don’t do this. She’s already crying and it hurts me so much!” Vicker pleaded. I stared on dumbfounded.

Never know my introvert of a son could stand up and defend a girl!

� SARAH �

“Joana! Joana,help me with the door.” I pleaded as I walked slowly across the room.

I heard a growl behind me. “Why don’t you get the door yourself,blind bat?”

I stopped. That was Rosetta’s voice. ” Come on,Rose! Just help me get the door.” I pleaded and felt tears pricking my blind eyes.


I tried blinking back the tears cos I’ve gotten used to my sisters taunts.

“You are such a pack of burden. Why don’t you go inside the room and have a long sleep? I don’t want you going outside the house and annoying Mrs McDonald!” Rosetta yelled.

I decided to ignore her and find the door myself.

We’ve been given a new apartment in the big compound and I’m finding it hard to locate my way around with my walking stick.

I was able to get out of the house. Slowly,I found my way to the garden where I knew father would be.

I got there and everywhere seemed to be empty and quiet. “Dad?” I called, trying to catch any noise with my ears.

But there was no noise.

“Father isn’t here.” I mumbled to myself and started retreating.

Not noticing the large flower vast in front of me,I hit my leg on it and stumbled then fell with a scream.

My stick rolled away as I groaned in pain on the ground.


� VICKER �

I was dressing up for basketball practice when I heard the scream.

I rushed to the window and glared down then sighed.

I continued looking down at her as she searched around for her stick.

My name is Vicker and I’m currently seventeen.

I was nine when dad employed Mr Miller to be our gardener and ever since, they’ve been living with us.

And dad has been so nice to them by sending his daughters to school with me.

I’ve tried being close to Sarah, helping her out when she needs help but mom would never let me.

She had always been so mad ever since they started schooling with me.


I’m not a fan of girls but Sarah always captured my heart.

She finally located her stick and got up.
I watched on. She sat on the flowery ground and to my shock,she started singing with a melodious voice that pierced my heart.

I turned and took my jacket from the bed and walked to the door to see Mom standing at the doorway. I stopped abruptly at the grim look on her face.

“You’ve been watching that blind giagain,Xander.” She scolded.

I stopped and breathed in. ” Mom,I’m just feeling sorry for her plight. Why can’t I help out when her sisters wouldn’t?” I asked softly.

” Well, Doreen and Andrew are gonna be here any minute from now so you’ve got no time to waste.” Mom snapped.

” I won’t stay long mom. I’m just gonna help her leave the garden.” I said and left the room.

I headed outside and walked into the garden. She stopped singing immediately I approached her.

“Who is there?” She asked slowly.

“Hi, Sarah. It’s me,Vicker.” I said smiling.

I joined her on the floor when she smiled too.

“You have got a golden voice.” I said looking into her blue green eyes.

Sarah ducked and blushed. “Thanks Vicker but I don’t think you should be here with me. I don’t want Mrs McDonald to get upset.” She said in a small cute voice.

I smiled and took her hand then pulled her to her feet.

“Thank you Vicker. You are the only one who can do this. ” Sarah said, smiling up at me as though she could see me.

” I wish I can see your face someday.” She said again, smiling.

I watched her beautiful lips curiously and wondered what it would be like kissing her?

She’s gonna be my first if I do….

I smiled back.” You will. “I replied and helped her get hold of her stick before taking her out of the garden.

� JOANA �

“I hate her so much!” I said furiously as Rosetta and I glared at them from the back window.

She’s the blind one here but she is the one getting Vicker’s attention! “Rosetta groaned.

I looked on furiously. I can’t just tell why she has to be our sister!

Why!

Being a year older than Vicker doesn’t mean I can’t have him to myself!

Why the Bleep is that blind brat getting his attention?.

I frowned deeply again before looking at a furious Rosetta. “Don’t you think it’s time we put that blind bat of a sister in her position? ” I asked.

CHAPTER 9

Nancy’s POV

Mike returned from work, I stood akimbo and took my face away from him to show my dissatisfaction towards his acts towards me.


“How are you?” He asked but I snubbed.

He sat on the living room to my surprise, I was expecting him to walk to his room, shower and come back to eat the food that I had prepared for him.

“Can you have your sit? I need to talk to you.” He said.

“I’m fine this way.” I reply briefly with my face still expressing dissatisfaction.


“No, you need to sit.” he insisted and I hesitated obstinately before going to sit on the chair before him.

“Well, one of my friends want you to start working with him.”
I was stunned at his words. Does that mean I will be able to get out of this house?

if I should ever see that opportunity, then I’m running away.

“okay.” I replied like I didn’t care but I actually did.


“Fine, I will be driving you to his company tomorrow, ensure you dress corporate.” He said and stood. “Is my food ready?”

“It is.” I replied and watched him walk to his room.

I jumped up happily that I will be able to get out of this prison he calls house.

—Following Day!—-

Mike had driven me to his friend’s company. We both alighted from his car and he lead me inside.


The company is a very beautiful one, I saw many workers focusing on their various work.

The both of us walked inside an office and a man stand to greet Mike. I know him, he was the same man that had told me not to jump from the fence at the backyard of Mike’s house yesterday.

“Welcome Nancy.” The man said and signalled for me to sit. He escorted Mike out and walked back to me.

Why would this man want to employ me? He didn’t even ask of my certificate neither does he know what skill I possess.

“Nancy!” He called as he went to sit.

“Good morning sir.” I greeted him respectfully.

“We’ve met before.” He chuckled. “Why would you want to jump down from that height?”


“Nothing.” I replied not wanting to spill something about me yet.

I’m still getting to know him.

“Well, I’m Jason and I’m glad you accepted the offer of being my secretary.”

“Secretary!” I repeated stunningly. I wasn’t expecting such honourable position.

“Of course, didn’t Mike inform you already?”

“No.” I shook my head and kept my emotions under control. I was really happy.

I can be working here, save for few months and run away. The time to run away from Jason is not now.

“About your salary, well, I’ll be paying you $15,000 for start.”

“What? $15,000? as salary?” I asked stunningly. The happiness that was leaping in me can not be measured.

“But…Jason and I agreed that the salary will be paid into his account , but not to worry, he will pay you.”

CHAPTER 8

Nancy’s POV

One would have to jump that height to escape. I checked and saw that the height was really high but it’s my only means of escape. I was scared of what might happen to me if I jump.


I sat at the edge of the short fence built around the backyard and starred down. I could hardly see cars moving around.

It looked like an island, how can someone come and build house in this kind of place? How many people are living here?

I could see houses around but they were far from where Mike’s house was situated. Even if I jumped down this fence, what is the probability that I would be able to escape.

Mike’s POV


As I walked inside my office, Nancy flashes across my heart and I grinned. I told her father then that I will come for him in the future but he thinks I was joking.

Now, her daughter is in my custody. I never loved her, I’m only interested in making this life look like hell to her.

I’m simply taking revenge on the evil her father did to me.

“Welcome sir.” My secretary said and I waved at her as I sat.


“Sir, someone dropped a message for you.” She said as I laid hands on my computer.

I signalled for her to bring it.

It read that my good friend Jason is in needs of a secretary at his construction company and he had like to have Nancy in that position.

No! that would not be possible, I did not even want that girl to see the light of the day.

I want her to spend years in the darkness.


I saw something inscribed at the back of the paper and on reading it, I saw that he would give me $100,000 if I agree and even pay her salary to my account.

It’s my choice to either give her or not.

The offer suddenly became interesting to me.

Wow! Money first in all that I do. Nancy will be sure happy to work with him. After all, the location of the construction company is not too far from my house.

She can’t possibly escape plus I will assign someone to monitor every of her movement.

But, isn’t secretary a good job? Can’t Jason find one stressing and ridiculous job for her to do?

Anyways, since I will be paid, it’s not a problem.


Nancy’s POV

I stood on the short fence and wondered if jumping this height will hurt me or not, I kept calculating how I could land and not get hurt.

“Hey!” I suddenly heard someone’s voice. It was loud and clear cause it was a serene environment.

I traced the voice and saw a gentle looking handsome man, he was dressed in white.

“Please don’t jump.” He yelled and I quickly stepped down from the fence.

Hope this man won’t tell Mike when he comes that I try to jump over? If Mike knows , he might find a way of blocking this place.

Nancy’s POV

“You had no idea what I did to your phone, you can’t call anyone. whoever you try to call will always redirect to me, I advise you go to bed and take some rest. you seem to be stresing yourself already.” Mike said and hung up.


What in the world is going on? Is this a house or a prison? I can’t go out or reach out to anyone I wish to.

What sort of life is this man making me live? I walked to my room and sat at the edge of the bed.

I was so frustrated. What kind of an absurd game is this man playing on me.

-Following Morning–

I had just served Mike and was walking away from the dinning when his voice halted me.

“Aren’t you eating?” he asked. He was dressed in suit ready to go to work.

“No, I’m fine. Thank you.” I replied softly and turned from him but he stood and walked to me.


“Hey! what’s going on with you?” He asked and I looked at his face?

It’s beautiful but his acts are weird.

“Is this place a prison or what?” I asked.

“I don’t want my food to get cold, come and sit before me and tell me what it is.” I agreed and followed him to where he was eating.

I sat before him and watched him eat.


“I’m all ears , Nancy.”

“You are behaving weird and your act is inhuman, why would you stop me from reaching out to anyone? what is my offence?” I asked and he grinned?

“Is it funny?” I questioned.

“May be not, well, I had to do that to protect you from the outside world, you should speak to me only.” He answered.

“So I question again, am I a slave or a prisoner?” I asked.

“You will be my wife soon, I promise you that.” He said and stretched his hands towards my cheeck.

I jerked and shot him a look of disdain.


“Stop protecting me from the outsdod world, do I look like a baby? is that how other men are acting towards their wives? when will I even see the sun again? is it possible that I will ever see my mom?” I was ranting, feeling so frustrated.

“Common dear, I’m doing what is best for you.” He said as he cleaned his mouth.

He was done eating. He stood and stared thiny at me.

“You don’t know what is best for me.” I muttered painfully and he just smiled faintly.

“Enjoy your day.” He walked out.

I banged the table a number of times in anger and frustration.

I can’t be living this way? Suicide is not an option, I must fight this and get the hell out of this place.

I walked around the house searching for how I could escape, I finally was able to get to a backyard that was at the last floor.

Chapter 6

Nancy’s POV

“At the kitchen? are you being serious? why then did you tell me the key is with you?” I asked.


“I never said it’s on me, what I meant was that I’m in custody of the key, don’t you get that?” He asked like I was disturbing him.

“Fine, where would I find it in the kitchen?”

“Just search the kitchen , you would see it. can you leave my room now, I want to have some rest.” He said and I pushed my tongue out to him. I didn’t like the way he told me to excuse him like I’m irritating.

I walked out of his room straight to the kitchen, I searched for minutes but couldn’t find the key.


Where in the world could the key be? thought he said the key is in the kitchen and now, I can’t find it.

I was frustrated, I need to get out of this house. Is he playing a prank on me or what?

I barged angrily back to his room but this time, it’s locked.

I knocked it angrily to the extent that my fingers started to hurt.


My phone rang and it was him. I pressed the red button angrily and hit his door the more.

Why is he treating me this way?

A message popped up on my phone and on checking, it was from him.

“You can knock till tomorrow, I won’t open the door. Did you find the key?” His message reads.

While I was typing my reply, his call came through again. I picked it this time.


“I can’t find the key!” I yelled on him on the phone. I was so pained and was feeling so inferior.

“Well…You should check the dinning then, I might have placed it on the table.”

“You are wicked and heartless, why are you lying to me, I know the key is with you.”

“Of course not, you should also check the toilet to see if you can find it there.” On hearing his last words, I confirmed that he had being deceiving me all along.

He hung up and I sunk to the door sadly. I bite my lips in pain as hatred develops so much in me to both my mom and him.

So my mom obviously loved money than I.

Another message popped on my phone again and it was him.


It reads: “Thinking of running away should be your last thought cause it’s impossible. I now own you.”

I closed my eye to absorb the pain he was causing me.

I went to the contact list of the phone to call my mom but I can not find her number there.

The only number in the contact list is that of Mike.

Well, I know my mom’s number offhand.

I dialed it and it began to rang, it was picked but I felt odd when I heard the voice of a male.

“Hello!”

It took me a while but I recognized the voice immediately.

CHAPTER 5

Nancy’s POV

“I’m coming to your room.” He said firmly.


“Talking of my room, aren’t we suppose to be living in the same room or am I mistaken about why you brought me from my mother’s house?” I implored.

“My purpose for bringing you is crystal clear, I brought you to marry you, but you have to wait till I’m ready.” He said.

“If you know you are not ready to get married, must you bring me over? ”

He faced me properly and smirked dryly. “Since you have start to see yourself as a wife, let me also tell you this: your mom agreed on selling you to me. The money you see me give your mom is not bride fee but the money she agreed on selling you over to me. truth is that you are my slave.” He looked into my face intimidatingly after uttering those words and walked to his room.


Really? Did my mom sell me for real? I know we do not really have much but is that enough reason for her to sell me to a rich man.

I never even wanted him in the first place, he only had me under his spell with the way he handled me at the bedröom.

I walked back to my room sullenly. But is this how I will be living in this house? lonely and helpless.

I refuse to be a slave, I have my life to live.


I guess I will have to run away from him. I can’t live as a slave under someone, not in this century.

Not like I can not even run away now.

I walked to the entrance of the house that led outside. I twisted the knob but it wasn’t opening.

I tried again but it’s the same thing. Why is this door locked this way?

I looked around in search for the key but couldn’t find it.


My phone rang at the moment and on checking who it was, it was no other person than Mike.

We are in the same house and he still has to phone me to tell me whatever he wants to tell me. Very ridiculous.

I picked it anyways, he was quiet briefly before his thick firm voice came through.

“What are you going to do outside?”

I looked around me and wondered how he knew I was trying to move out.

I was dunbfounded for few seconds and short of words.

“Did you forget something outside?” He asked.


“How are you seeing me?” I asked. I was seriously confused.

He chuckled dryly. “Are you going to answer my question?”

“I just want to catch some fresh air outside, is the key with you?” I asked.

“Sure.” He replied and hung up.

I sighed and walked back to his room. his door was slightly opened so I just pushed it and enter.

“So…where is it?” I asked referring to the keys.

“I forgot it at the kitchen, check it there.” He replied briskly.

Chapter 4

-Three days later-

I was outside the house but inside the fenced compound. I was playing with one of the dogs in the house. they had been my companion ever since Mike travelled unexpectedly.

I had waited for this day to come and here it is. I yearned earnestly for his presence even as I played with the dogs.

He arrived few minutes later and I was so happy. I ran to his car and stood right at the door. He opened the door and stepped down.

He was not smiling, he was neither frowning. He looked still and handsome

"Welcome!" I said with a smiling face.

He stretched his hand wide and we hugged.

"Hope you aren't too bored?" He asked as we both walked inside.

"Very bored, extremely bored. Why would you just leave without informing me?" I said but he didn't reply.

On getting to the living room, he stretched his arms wide again.

"We have hugged before!" I said throwng my hands up in the air.

"I'm not insinuating that we hug, help me loosen the botton of my cloth.

" Oh!" I exclaimed and helped him unbotton his shirt. He was left with a singlet but his six pack were still obvious.

He carried me and placed me on the big chair at the living room.

He removed my p-nts and rubbed it with his finger until I became extremely wet.

"Isn't that what you want?" he asked but I couldn't reply.

He dipped his finger inside and I jerked, it was my first time that a man's finger will be entering me.

I jerked in pleasure, I felt like disappearing from the chair cause the pleasure he was making me feel was much and sweet.

He worked his hand inside me until I screamed that I needed him inside me.

"you mean you want this?" he asked pointing to his trouser.

I nodded shamely. I don't really care at that point. as far as I'm concern, he is only torturing me.

I want him to take my flower once and for all

"I felt like you need it when we get married." He said

"Aren't we married yet?" I asked.

"Oh! you really think we are married? Well, Let's have some court and white wedding. I'm a responsible man. I should fulfil all rites on you since you are flowered." He said.

"Forget all the rites, this is me giving you my body. have it all." I said.

He smirked.

"Hmph!" He hummed as he stood. He walked inside.

I ensured I followed him, why will he keep turning me on only to leave me stranded.

As he got to the entrance of a room, he paused and turned to me.

"What did you want?" he asked.

"You! I want you to deflower me." I said.

"Don't you have shame? I'm suppose to be asking for this." He said.

Nancy's POV

"Are you going to agree on marrying me now?" He asked as he paused what he was doing on me.

I looked painfully into his eyes, why does he have to make me Hot and then suddenly stop.

Is he going to continue?

My mom had told me that a rich stranger is coming to marry me but I had refused. My mom invited him home nevertheless and I still rejected him.

He then requested for few moments with me at this room and the few minutes we have spend together makes me yearn earnestly for him inside me.

I love the way he handles me and I can not wait for him to drill me.

"Erm...Okay...you can have me?" I finally submitted myself to him. he has succeeded in winning me over to himself.

"I do not think it is right for us to make love in your mother's house, follow me to my house." he said and I just watched him.

He could have taken me forcefully anyways, but I like the fact that he put me under his control before having me.

He stood and got dressed. I did the same.

I'm so nervous to follow a stranger to his house. though he is handsome and I can't stop myself from drooling over him.

Both of us walked back to my mom who sat in the living room.

"She has agreed on following me." He said to my mom. his face was emotionless.

My mom smiled and waved at me.

He opened his box and gave my mom some cash, he signalled that I walk out while he followed.

On getting to his house, it looked so beautiful and magnificent.

He showed me my room and he walked away.

I sat on the bed and gazed around the beautiful room, I sunk to the bed. I hope he will be as cool as he was at my mother's house.

later at night, I was bored in the room. Ever since he walked away, I have not seen him come back to my room since then.

And since he is marrying me, Aren't we suppose to be sleeping together in the same room.

I walked out of the room and on getting out, I saw so many beautiful rooms and structures in the house.

I started to wander around the house hoping that I see him.

My phone rang all of a sudden and I picked. His name appeared as the caller.

I can not even remember saving his name.

I picked it and his thick firm voice came through.

"Are you searching for me?" He asked to my surprise and I looked around.

"It's bored in my room so...I just took a stroll out of my room."

"Indeed! I travelled and I'll be back in three days. hold yourself well." he said and hung up.

What! why is he like this? how can you just live me lonely in this big house?

Brenda’s POV


“Better keep that silly mouth you are using to laugh before I decend on you.”She threatened but I ignored and continued laughing.

It’s just a mere threat, she wouldn’t want me to deal with her the way I did yesterday.

Scott walked out at that moment.

“Hey baby!” Bella said and quickly went to hug Scott. Scott received the hug but with the way he acted, he wasn’t too comfortable with the way Bella acted.


I have no idea what relationship use to be among them but I do not really care.

“You can go inside Helen.” I said to Helen and she obliged.

Bella rapped her hands round the neck of Scott and faced me.

“Scott, I told her we will be going out together and that she should not follow us.” She said.


“You are making me uncomfortable, Bella.” Scott said and I scoffed at her intentionally.

She eyed me and took her hands off Scott’s neck.

“Plus, I will like it if Brenda follow me instead.” He said to my surprise.

“Do you know what you are saying, Scott? You want a maid to follow you? Are you alright?” She asked.

“I can choose anyone I wish to follow me to wherever I want to go. Bella, you are just my ex, stop acting like you are my girlfriend?” Scott said and that was when I got to know the relationship they both had.


“Ex! Indeed!” She swallowed painfully.

“But…why did you think I came to stay here? Cause I still love you. I still love you Scott.” She let out.

Scott’s mouth dropped in surprise.

“I don’t know what to say, let’s go Brenda.” He said and I stood.

Scott and I entered his car and he began to drive.

“This does not mean that you should start feeling special, you are still a maid and a poor girl.” He said.

“This is not your first time of saying that, face front and focus.” I replied.


“I wonder who in the world is dating you.” He mumbled as he drives.

I grinned. “Who is dating me is not your concern, focus on your driving, I repeat. Nothing must happen to me.” I said.

“Arrogant girl.” He said as he drives.

“Spoilt rich kid.” I replied.

I looked around and saw that Abigail has gone missing, I didn't answer the guy instead I got up from the ground and dusted the sands off from my buttocks.
He stepped forward and started tapping my chest asking me what will I do if he try to beat me up.

"Bros, you nofit beat me" I shouted at him.

I kicked his groin and he bent forward groaning in pains, I gave him a punch on his cheek and ran away as fast as my legs could carry me without looking back.

I saw Joshua running towards me, he halted and looked at me with surprise written on his face when he saw me panting and sweating.

"Guy, wey the idiot wey challenge?" he asked looking extremely angry.

"Is Jeff, he has been harassing me to be his girlfriend" his sister spoke.

"You fu-ck up oh! Abigail, and you no tell me make I table him matter"

Joshua ran off to were I just escaped from making more shocked why someone will run to meet a giant when he isn't David, Abigail inspected my body if I had a scratch. Her fingers were so soft and soothing making me dream of having them wrapped around my stiff co-ck.

"Did he fight you?" she asked with so much concern.

"We didn't fight"

Both of us waited for his brother there, he took too long to return in other to safe face I had to go and look for him asking Abigail to go back home she was adamant first but gave in.

I haven't gone far when I saw Joshua returning with his shirt off from his body.

"The manchi don misyarn, I go table him matter" he was shouting angrily.

"You see am?"

"Yes, him dey call boys for me, me immortal. No reason the matter make we dey go" he suggested.

I had to agree and followed him from behind his gait has changed from the calm one I used to know to proud kind, I didn't come out till evening when Joshua asked me to follow him to the river for swimming.

When we got there I saw the guy who challenged the aboki man to cross the river that he will pay him, Joshua told me he is coming and disappeared.

"Brother no vex oh! the aboki man don come out?" I asked the young man who sat on a dead wood to smoke, he looked at me twice before he spoke.

"Yes, on eke day"

I was curious on how long someone that depend on oxygen in open air can survive in water for that long.

"Him go dey alive?" I asked.

He returned it with a disdainful look and concentrated on smoking away his destiny, I stood before the river and watched water games.

"This people no try oh! to separate girl and boy, wish say we dey together for make sense" I looked behind and saw two grown up guys gossiping.

I enjoyed how others were calm laughing and chasing each other in the river, I decided to join them. I undressed and wore my tight boxer and walked into the river, I couldn't swim..

Oh my! I have never seen this before. A female hitting Lee Chun!_ Well except for his elder sister Mia but apart from Mia no other female dare hits Lee Chun

The doctor said cajoling her to relax

“ Ji-a… My name is Ji-a ”
She said cutting me short and I smiled but then she stared at me with tears almost coming down from her eyes


“ Tell me the truth… Will I ever walk again? ”
She asked and I really felt sorry for her

“ Of course you will ”
I said then sat down at the edge of her bed but she didn’t look like someone that really believed what I said so I tried to convince her

“ I know it will feel strange moving on a wheelchair but I’m sure you don’t really need the wheelchair to walk, the work of the wheelchair is so you don’t stress your legs that much so it can heal way faster

It’s not like you are crippled or anything. I can’t count the many times I have had to move on wheelchair when I sprain my ankle during sports practice, but here I am standing and walking well ”
I said smiling and she stared at me but didn’t say anything

I continued “ Let me tell you a secret ” I said using a whispering voice “ Anytime I sprain my ankle and had to sit on the wheelchair I get to do nothing and demand a lot from my parents and siblings. Whenever I sit on that wheelchair I become like a king and the wheelchair becomes my throne

So for the next weeks or so you get to be queen, your parents and siblings would have to do and buy everything and anything you want while you just lazy around all day eating and sleeping ”
I said hoping that would cheer her up but the reaction I got wasn’t what I was expecting

Tears just rolled down her cheeks even though she tried not to cry, she couldn’t keep the tears in, from running down


“ Hey… Did I say anything wrong? ”
I asked really concerned

“ No… Nothing ”
She answered wiping the tears away with the back of her palms

“ I don’t believe you, I most have said something. Please tell me what’s wrong maybe I can help? ”
I said and she glanced at me

“ I doubt that, unless you can bring the dead back? ”
She said and I went mute

“ I have no parents nor siblings to pamper me. I am all I have and while the wheelchair is like a throne for you to me it’s like a cage, a terrible one

How am I suppose to eat if I can’t work? And how am I to work if I can’t walk? If I can’t make use of my legs?… This can’t be happening to me… ”
She spoke and that’s when I realized she is an orphan…

� Lee Chun’s POV �

How dare she! How dare that dirty girl hit me! Huh? When I even wanted to apologise to her

I was even thrown out of the ward like I am a trouble maker. I will make sure that doctor lose his job. What nonsense!

As if that’s not worse even I just got a message from the Italian model telling me her plane is about taking off

So I missed that sexy lady with long sweet tongue just to get slapped by a lady on rags

“ Arrgg!
This day can’t get any worse ”
I cursed…

But just then I saw my friend Byung-ho coming and he was_ he is wheeling that mad girl over here

Standing up from where I sat in the reception I gave her a bad stare and she did likewise to me that I became scared she might give me one of those her hot slap so I shift away from her, dragging my friend Byung-ho the hand

“ What do you think you doing? And why are you wheeling her? Are you now her personal nurse? ”
I questioned

“ No, I’m not her personal nurse ”
He replied


“ Good then take her back from where she was and let’s get out of here. Clearly she doesn’t like apologises. I have done my best to try and apologize but I received a slap instead.. no problem let’s just get away from here. Infact leave her here one of the nurses will take her back to her ward ”
I said then held Byung-ho’s hand to take him away with me… But he made himself hard on the ground

“ Lee Chun ”
He shout my name

I turned facing him

“ I am not leaving Ji-a. She is coming with ”
He said pulling his hand away from my grip

“ Who is Ji-a? ”
I asked then followed his eyes down to the girl on the wheelchair

Oh! She is Ji-a
How can a mad girl have such a pretty name? I thought

“ And what do you mean you ain’t leaving her? You seriously want to take her home?…Okay fine do what you please ”
I said already pissed off. I turned to walk out

“ Lee Chun! ”
He shouted my name again

“ What? ”
I half yelled already annoyed turning around but then he walked closely to meet me

“ I made a mistake. I meant to say she is she is coming not with me but you ”
He said


“ What? ”

“ Yes, you see Ji-a here is an orphan, she fends for herself, but now she isn’t able to work because of your carelessness. So she is now your responsibility

You have to take care of her until she is well enough to be able to walk and fend for herself again ”
He said

I was really shocked. I knew she was poor but never knew she was an orphan

I glanced down at her and she didn’t really looked pleased about what Byung-ho said

“ I thought you said I will be staying with you, I don’t want to be with him, he is a bad man ”
She said talking to Byung-ho

Byung-ho smiled then crouched down, levelling his head with her’s

” I know I said that but I’m sorry you have to stay with him now ” he said but she shook her head against it

“ No I don’t want to ”

“ Listen, he will take good care of you. I think it’s time my friend here starts taking responsibility of his actions and I promise you this I will always check up on you. Trust me you will enjoy living in his house than mine, his house is way bigger and their are lots of maids, you will finally get treated like a queen ”
he said but she looked really sad. She most hate me

“ Please smile okay ” He said to her before standing up facing me

“ So she is your responsibility now ” he said and I was about to speak when he shut me up

“ I am not done. You better treat her well. Remember I told you the doctor said she shouldn’t stress herself nor her legs ”
He said then smiled briefly before walking out of the hospital leaving me and the girl alone

“ What have I gotten myself into ”
I muttered and she was just frowning at me with her arms folded

“ So you will be staying with me now? I guess I have to wheel you to the car right? ”
I said and she just rolled her eyes

“ Dummy ” she muttered

“ Hey!
I heard that ”
I said frowning

“ I might for you to hear it ”
She said

“ I don’t have time for this, let me just wheel you to the car and take you home but don’t expect me to take care of you cus I can’t stand you. I will hire a nurse to do that ”
I said then walked to her back to wheel her away

“ Whatever!… I can’t stand looking at your ugly face anyways ”
She said

“ Stop saying I am ugly! are you blind? Look at this face does it look ugly to you? Huh? ”
I said and she turned her head around to look at my face

“ Yup! Really ugly ”
She said with all seriousness before facing forward

“ I know you just trying trying to get me upset ” I said

“ Nope, just saying the truth. You are really ugly ”
She said and I angrily wheeled her fast

“ Careful! Unless I will slap you! ”
She warned already getting her hand ready for a slap

“ Sorry ”
I quickly apologize wheeling her slowly

I don’t really want to receive that her hot painful slap again….

I placed a hand on my waist and leaned on the car close by as I stared at them.
Why are they looking so shocked, huh?

“Mandy?” Leo called with a crumpled look.
“What’re you doing here?”

I scoffed and shrugged.

“And what does it look like I’m doing, huh? Following you to the party, of course” I replied.


The Betty witch was looking like a frog already.

“Hold on…how did you get to know about the party?” He asked.
Gosh!

“Stop questioning me, Leo. My waist hurts already. Where’s your car?” I asked tiredly and looked around.

Oh! I recognized his car. They were standing in front of it


I rolled my eyes at Betty and went over to the other side of the car, so I could open the door and go in. But it was locked.

“Come on, Leo. Open the door!” I grumbled, but he stared blankly at me for a while.
He was obviously shocked

“But….Mandy” Betty called
“Leo already said…I’d be going with him to the party”.

That alone angered the guts outta me and I rushed to meet her.

“And I said…I’m going with him. Besides, what right do you have over him? You’re his secretary; not his wife” I snapped and Leo interfered


“Hey; hey; Mandy, it’s okay. Its okay. You’re coming along, okay?” He said with a sigh, then turned to Betty.

“You can come on your own if you want to. But, I need to go with her. Okay?” He said and she just mumbled an “okay sir”.

Whatever.

He turned to me, clicked on the car button and urged me to open the door again.

I did and it was opened.

I smiled as I walked in and awaited him to come in as well.

He said a few words to Betty and finally walked in, taking the driver’s seat.
“Seriously Mandy? What was that for?” He asked as soon as we were seated in the car.


“How did you get to know about the party in the first place?”

“I…I just heard. Okay? And will you stop scolding me and just drive?” I rolled my eyes and he huffed and started the car.

I played with my bump as the car drove speedily, a cool song playing from the FM.

I hummed along with it and from time to time, Leo shot me a stare.

I felt the baby kick along the way and gasped

“Oh my gee!!” I exclaimed and giggled happily.

Leo looked at me immediately.

“The baby kicked, Leo! He kicked!” I laughed so hard.

“Hold on; let me have your hand. Come on,give me your hand. Fast”.

“Mandy….”

I grabbed his left hand and placed it on the side of the tummy where the baby had kicked.

Wait for it…..

And….

“Hah!!” I flushed and looked at Leo who also looked amazed.

“Did you feel that?? He kicked again!!” I laughed as I returned his hand which he placed back on the sterling..

Although, he was grumpy, but he smiled at that moment.

I placed my hands behind my hair and smiled happily. It was so beautiful.


Leo turned and looked at me, then took his eyes back to the road.

And he smiled again…

We finally got to the party and…wow!
It was a beanfeast.

I was feeling a bit tired already and all I could think of was finding a place to sit.

As Leo and I walked in, I found a lot of couples holding hands. But ah! This jerk.

There’s no way he’d let me hold him.

So, I just placed my hands on my waist.

“Hey, dude”.

“Hey; what’s up?”

He kept exchanging greetings with almost everybody we came across.
Hmph.

Like he was the King of knowledge or something.


“Hello Mandy” one of his friends had greeted me
I could remember seeing him on the day of our wedding.

“Hi” I smiled back at him.

“Wow! Pregnancy sure looks good on you. You’re looking sweet” he commended and I blushed.

“Thank you!”
“Enjoy the party, man” he said to Leo and left.

“Gosh! Do you seriously know the whole world?”I grumbled after Leo as we got to an empty table, but he didn’t reply.

As soon as we were there, I sat down with relief, my waist stretching.

“Ah! I need a drink” I moaned and took a glass from the table, gulping it down.

“Careful, Mandy. It’s alcoholic” he warned and I belched.

“Is it?”

I took a different wine which I was sure wasn’t alcoholic and gulped it down.

“Ah! I’m so tired, Leo. My waist hurts a lot” I mumbled, itching my hair.

“You should’ve just stayed at home, Mandy. Instead of looking for a way to get back at Betty” he rolled his eyes and I pouted my lips.

What a jerk

“I just felt like coming to the party, Leo. Not to get back at anyone” I also rolled my eyes and he scoffed and tried walking away.

“Where are going?” I held his hand.

“To meet some old friends. I’ll be back soon” he mumbled and tried walking away, but I held him tight.

“I…I feel like eating something” I hushed and his eyes dimmed.

“Seriously Mandy? You can only find drinks over here” he grunted a reply.

“I…I…I want to eat that” I bit my lower lip and pointed to a woman eating a diary milk chocolate.

He followed the direction of my finger and scoffed when he found it.

“How on earth do you want me to get it, Mandy?” He picked his words.

“Do you expect me to drive out of the party just to buy some chocolates?”

“N…No” I pouted.
“She has a lot with her. Look. Its more than five. You can just simply ask her to give one to you”.

“Wait….what??” He shrieked.
“What do you mean ask her to give one to me? You expect me to go beg her”

“Please…” I muttered sadly.

Rose’s POV


– Still At Theurapetical department-

“Pregnant! Rose…how come?” Sonia asked me.

My mouth was just opened in shock, I harnessed my emotion and finally spoke. “I do not…No! It’s not possible, I’ve never even made love before.”

“But it says here that you are pregnant.” The therapist said.


“That’s not possible.” I yelled. I was going crazy cause I know it’s not possible.

“Ethan…how…I mean…I don’t understand what is going on.” I said to Ethan and he stood.

“My wife, remember when I told you that Mary the mother of Jesus never made love yet he became pregnant?”

“Yes, I remember but…am I Mary? No angel appeared to me.” I said.


“An angel does not need to appear to you, as long as the angel appear to me.”

“There is a mistake somewhere! I’m still flowered.” I said to the therapist.

“We don’t make mistake here, Mrs. Rose. We are too proficient and professional to make that kind of mistake” He said and I felt confused and pertubed still.

Or…is it possible for someone to become pregnant without making love?

I hurriedly took my phone and asked google. There was no result that claims it’s possible unless his seed is transferred into my womb artificially but that never happened.


“Please…test me again!” I pleaded.

The therapist was reluctant but later ordered the nurse to test me.

The nurse tested me and went to the therapist again with the result.

“Same Mrs Rose, you are pregnant.” The doctor said.

At that point, I was going crazy. I walked out amidst them cause I was feeling foolish.

While walking through the hallway, someone ran to catch up with me and on seeing who it was, it was the nurse that had tested me.

“Hi, Mrs Rose!”


I snubbed and continued walking swiftly. I was going crazy.

“I have something to tell you, I did not have much time, please listen to me.”

“Hum! … I’m all ears.” I paused and she looked back like she’s in search of someone.

She dragged me into a ward.

“I shouldn’t tell you this but I’m a woman like you. Your result was negative.”

“Meaning?”

“Meaning that you are not pregnant, I do not know why the therapist is lying…”

“Really, so I’m not pregnant?”

“You are not. Whatever is going on there is incomprehensible, just be careful.” The woman said and ran out.

Why was the therapist lying?

At Ethan’s home—

Ethan and I sat before each other at the dinning; eating.

We are silent for few seconds after which I spoke up.

“Ethan! You think I’m pregnant, right?”

“Sure…of course , you are. The therapist and the nurse confirmed it.” He said and snickered.

I continued eating. “I’m filing for divorce!” I threatened. I never meant it, I just need to try it to see if he will be scared and do what I want.


“Divorce? You mean divorce me? Wow! Just wow! I love it.” He said and continued eating.

“You love what? Do you know the meaning of divorce?”

“Sure, you want to stop living with me and start living alone, you want to end our marriage…sure,it’s a good thing.” He said as he ate.

I was so hurt. “So you never loved me?”

“What! I love you with passion. ”

“But you don’t care if I divorce you.”

“Erm…not like I don’t care, I know that If you make an attempt too, it won’t work.”

“What do you mean?”

“Try it first, my dear wife.” He said and try to feed me but I rejected it.

He stood after he had finished eating.


“Let’s go and have fun inside.” He said as he stretched his hand at me.

“What kind of fun?”

“Like making love.” He said.

“Really? We will make love?” I asked happily.

“Sure…but promise you won’t divorce me after we had made love.”

“Sure, sure, I won’t. ” I said happily and followed him.

This would be the happiest day of my life if Ethan makes love with me.

We both walked hand in hand to our room. He carried me and threw me to the b-ed.

Fred’s POV


I slump beside her. I needed the money she promised to give tomorrow, not only do I need it for food, I also need it for personal expenses.

I wish I was the one working, she wouldn’t have been able to threaten me with money.

But I do not like working, I never liked it. All I love to do since I was young is to cook.

I turned to her on the bed and to my surprise, she turned to me.


“Are you angry?” She asked.

“I’m frustrated. How will you ever give birth to a baby if we do not make love?” I asked.

“Yes but I never asked. I know you love me. My question is, are we having baby in this marriage?”


“Sure, we would have many babies…many children. As much as we want.” She replied.

“And without us making love, how do you think that will be possible?” I asked.

“Well, I hope I get used to it, and…I really wish there are other ways we could have babies without us having to make love ” She said

“Unfortunately, it is the only way.” I said and adjusted closer to her.

“What are you doing?” She asked.


“Moving closer to my wife, is anything wrong?”

“Erm…nothing.” She said with her voice shaking.

She just starred into my face like a child starring into her mother’s eye.

“Allow me to press it.” I said and she archened her brow.

“Press what? Is it bread?” She asked.

“You will enjoy it , trust me. Just let me do it and you will beg for more.” I said.

“Really?” She asked.

“Yes.” I said and gently placed my hand on the br*-a she had on her b***st.

More people rushed towards him and before you know it, they made it impossible for me to see him.

Was echoing everywhere but that didn’t last long. I tried moving closer to them, to see if I could stare at him at a close range but a car pulled over behind us and they turned out to be his guards.

They started pushing the crowd away from him and soon, they got into their cars and left.

Geez, she is really happy, meaning she’s crazy over.


“Do you really like him that much?” I was forced to ask.

“Of course, I love him, I really love him” she answered placing both hands on her chest.

I shook my head, then smiled as we continued going.

“You really crazy tho, look at the way you jumped in front of his car, what if he was drunk and couldn’t control the brake? Then he could have hit you” I said to her.

“Well, I’ll be happy to die by his hands” she replied giggling.


“You’re really crazy” I rolled my eyes at her then continued on my way, leaving her behind.

�Mike’s POV�
“Charlie, are you okay at all? Why on heaven’s sake will you come down from your car when the guards aren’t there, do you want to get killed by those crazy fans?” I questioned with my eyes widely opened.

“So what? I should stay stuck in the car? You want me to suffocate to death there? That was the only way and beside why weren’t you guys close enough to stop it when they weren’t that much? You arrived late and you’re here blaming me?” He asked back.

“So, you’re blaming us now? Do you remember you told us off earlier? Or did you suddenly develop brain cancer?” I asked in a mockery manner.

“Hey, are you nuts? Are you insulting?”

“F**k*ng get your disgusting a** off my car right this instant” he yelled but I stayed where I was.

“You can yell all you want CB, I aren’t getting down from this car” I replied relaxing my head on the chair.


He huffed, then ignored me and continued driving away.

Two days later.

�Charlie’s POV�

“So what are my schedules for today Mike?” I asked sipping from the glass of red wine in front of me.

“CB, your contract with DN fashion industry is today, since you’ve agreed to be their model for a whole week, you’ll have to go over there today to seal the contract with them” Mike replied me.

“Today? How come its today, I thought it was next week?” I asked confused.

“Well yea your work there fully starts next week but you’ve got to seal the contract first, I could have gone to seal it but the contract requires only your signature” he answered.

“Hmm okay, so what time is it?” I inquired.

“In an hour time, have some rest till then, one of your ex works there as a model, I heard a lot of models there are crazy about you so…”

“Who isn’t?” I cut him in with a proud grin.

This is gonna be fun, maybe I’ll be able to get another sweetheart from there, models are very attractive, I thought aloud.

“That’s what you’re perfect in anyways, screwing attractive ladies” I heard him mumble as he stepped out of my office.

�Rosanna’s POV�
I was in the dressing room selecting a dress for my next shoot when Tara ran to me.

“This is huge Ros, this is huge, I heard CB is gonna be coming over in less than an hour to seal a deal with our company, I’m sad, I don’t have a suitable dress here, what should I do? Should I borrow the company’s clothes?” Tar rushed her words making me a bit confused.

“Coming over? Why? I thought it was next week?” I inquired.

“Yes but he has to sigh some papers first babe, what should I put on?” She answered then started running around like a mad person.


She came back with two dresses and asked which one is more suitable, I picked one out for her then she ran to the restroom to put on the dress.

She was not the only one in a haste to put on a dress, other models were rushing up and down changing into different dresses.

Wow! I wowed starring as the whole place turned upside down with noise.

Close to an hour later.

Tara who had put on a new dress, new makeup, repacked her hair came to me.

“He is here Ros, he has arrived, come let’s go see him” she said and grabbed my hand running out of the room we were in.

My shooting is about starting but I’ll go see him for some minutes.

We got to the entrance of the building where everyone had already gathered up, waiting for him to step into the building and its didn’t take long before he showed up with his guards looking so so adorable.

Immediately my colleagues rushed to embrace him but as expected the guards didn’t let them come close.

The guards kept paving way for him to pass and they succeeded, they got him into an elevator and we didn’t see him again.


Some people went after him using the stairs and some waited for the elevator to reopen so they could also go up.

I sighed happily and took the second elevator to the shooting floor.

Its okay. I managed to see him two times in a week, that’s okay.

He is extremely handsome. No wonder Tara and the others are crazy about him.

He is really lucky too, for someone that makes people do crazy things for him, he is really lucky.

Few minutes later I arrived at my destination.

But I got to no that the shooting has been pushed to an hour later.

I sighed then left for the restroom to ease myself and to see if my dress and makeup are still okay.

But the restroom is in the third floor.

I pressed opened the elevator and was about to step in when I realized someone or some people were in the elevator.

I raised my head to look at them and my heart sank deep into my stomach in shock.

I opened my mouth and stepped backwards.

I can’t believe who is standing in front of me.

Its…its CB and he was only with his manager.

His eyes remained fixed on me as I moved backwards.

Its impossible, I can’t possibly be in the same elevator with him.

Is this a dream or what? I thought still there.

“What are you waiting for? Aren’t you getting in?” I heard a very sweet calm voice ask, then I realized it.

He just talked to me.

What? A superstar? World’s best song writer and musician is talking to me?

This must be a dream.

I sat in my room, composing songs when I heard a very lousy knock on my door.

“Who the hell is that?” I yelled.

The person kept knocking instead without replying. This can not be Helen.

I stood from the bed and walked to the door, On opening the door, It was the rude maid.


“How can I help you?”

“You were saying you want to fire me the other time, have you come to conclusion?”

“Do you really want me to fire you? I thought you came here to work cause you needed money?”

“And so? Mr. If you want to fire me, better go ahead, I don’t care.”


I looked at her and shook my head. “Just leave, I’m not firing you anymore.”

She tried to walk away and paused all of a sudden. “Hey! Look at me, do I look okay?”

“You mean beautiful?”

“Whatever, I’m going to a party this evening…do I look my best?”

“Wait! You are going out? Do you realize that you have works to do?”


“So, is it your work? If I’m not around, is it too big if you take the broom and sweep? Is it too big to pick the cleaners to clean the house?”

“But that’s your work and that’s clearly what you are employed for.”

“Story for the gods, look at me young man, do I look beautiful?”

I ignored and angrily went inside.

This girl is just so rude and careless. So she is going out today despite having many works to do in this house.

What kind of maid goes to party. She doesn’t even have any respect for me.

Fred’s POV


I sat at the edge of the bed with my hand buried between my palms. How in the world will someone glue her p@nt with her p*syy, who does that?

“That’s my baby.” I praised as I watched her walk to the bathroom.

Ten minutes passed and she still hasn’t come out.

Why is this taking so much time?

I need to check on her at that point. I went to the bathroom and I saw that she had been able to pull off the p@nt.
