Crime / Re: Soldier Seen Manhandling A Man, In Lagos, Despite Pleas From His Sick Wife by muymay: 2:45pm On Nov 29, 2018
EbukaHades10:
It is because of things like this that make me rethink joining the army.
My brother was in the bus when it happened. He said the man and his wife didnt want to cross the road to buy the ticket despite everyone else doing so. He just sat in the bus. The driver started arguing with him to buy ticket or come down and he refused. The man was actually very rude. The soldier was sleeping at the time and woke up to all the noise. Driver reported him and the soldier initially told him to come down in a polite way at first. He man did not want to. After 2 to 3 warnings, he eventually obliged and was going down with his wife only to murmur a swear word at the soldier. That was where wahala started. The soldier gave him a punch.

The fault is with everyone. The ticketeer should not have been at the other side, The man should have cautioned himself bough the ticket or come down. and the soldier should not have punched him. Everyone is at fault really.

Romance / Re: He Got Her Pregnant, Later Accepted It But Won't Marry Her Because He Doesn't... by muymay: 8:37am On Jul 12, 2017
But really, what is wrong with Nigerians? Someone asked a question asking for advise to a serious problem. Instead of advising or offering a little help, we are heaping insults and abuse on the poor person. This is not good. Remember everyone has issues they are dealing with. Showing a little love will not harm anyone. The guy and the lady both made mistakes but ammends can also be made. How many guys here have slept with ladies they do not love. Lets be civil.

For the lady, you cannot force someone to love you. Let alone marrying someone who does. If he has agreed to contribute to the upkeep, then accept that first. Try and be a good friend and civil to the guy. In time, he may fall in love with you. if he does not, then work on yourself, become a better person and another person will love you for you.

God bless you.

What's his business? is it his money they are sharing? Just be happy for the lady. Everybody need a little miracle in their lives. His fans were asking for ordinary free tickets to see his show, he was forming nonsense. He started from somewhere too. broke and helpless. He has forgotten that some people helped him kick start his life.

My issue with this directive is banning the tri-cycles from the entire Victoria island. That means no more obalende to adeola odeku or eko hotel. Really this new move is not fair. People ordinarily would not take 'marwa' if the so-called buses were in abundant supply. Not everyone has cars and I don't see how they fail to realise that. An opinion poll should have been taken before such draconian act was effected. What's the point of getting to the office all sweaty and dirty as a result of struggling to board a bus. Fashola should be more humane.
Politics / Re: Why Are Nigerians In Diaspora So Bitter? by muymay: 5:48pm On Oct 05, 2012
I am not a regular nairaland contributor but I follow nairaland a lot. I dare say that some of the comments about Nigerian issues are sometimes too damning and evil that I shudder sometimes. At times I'm scared to look at comments on a topic. It's usually so discouraging and presents a message of hopelessness. It's good to criticise but let's do it constructively..God bless Nigeria.

Im scared for this country...we are openly training militants when they should be in jail..if these people turn on Nigeria with their new found intelligence..it will not be good at all. Remember they brought Nigeria to its knees with their crude method of operations..now they are been trained...Nigeria should learn from US training Osama bin laden to fight the Russians...before he later turned on them...see what it cost them before they could neutralize him...Remember a leopard cannot change its spots...Its well
