seanwilliam: I would have to disagree with you on the Huawei and Xiaomi comparison with Infinix, Meizu et al. In the past two years Huawei phones have trumped Samsung most top 10 "Best phones" reviews - the P20 Pro and P30 Pro came out tops usually just above the Galaxy S9 and S10, let me not talk of the variants nor battery life of the likes of the Mate 10 Pro and the Mate 20 Pro. If you want to compare Honor with Xiaomi then I would probably accept that, but not the Huawei brand per se. 1 Like |

Unfortunately, people believe what they want to, so long as people are desperate and what they hear appeals to them, sadly scams like this will continue. 1 Like |

Finally - we can trade in 1-3 star Trainers! I'm so happy, I've traded in at least 70 already 1 Like |

timilehing: Again, it's trial and error with the trainers. I've had some good 2* trainers and some terrible ones. I tend to use trainers specific to an area i.e. Midfield, Defence regardless of their rating (usually 4* and 5*). And I don't usually select the default "Look at this"; if a player already has Physical at 96, I'm not sure why that would take priority over Technique or Speed. It usually pays off. For the first time I had two CBs who were rated over 90 so I must be doing something right I've started giving some of my players particular traits e.g."Super Sub" and that's also paying off 1 Like |

timilehing:It hasn't quite worked for me, especially trying to maintain the same standard with new team members who need to get a decent rating - it's basically trial and error. At the moment I seem to beholding my own against stronger teams which is interesting. Add to that I've got loads of 1*-3* trainers that I would love to get rid of. There should be a way to get rid of them without having to use them. |

timilehing: I can't even get my team up to OTR 840. I've lost track as to how long I've stayed at Professional Level 16 before I finally made it to 17. I did it with a mix of 5*, 6* and a couple of 7* players. I've been fortunate recently to have some very good 5* players (89-91 rated) but not all 5* or 6* players are equal. I currently have an 90 rated 6* player that's not as good as a 5* player of similar rating. I don't even bother with the Manager's Cup any more, I just want to make it to the next level. 1 Like |

Family / Re: Wives Should Respect Their Husbands In Order Not To Be Beaten - Yul Edochie by N101: 9:15am On Jun 03, 2017 |
jakandeola: You think at times it's necessary to beat a woman. Your neighbour beat his wife. You think that it's okay for you to beat ordinary girlfriend who was "stubborn". I really want to know why you feel beating someone you supposedly cared about who was "stubborn" is necessary. jakandeola: If you want someone to obey, get a dog. The relationship between man and woman is not like servant/master, they are two people with different backgrounds and different mindsets and those will come into play in a relationship along with different expectations. When you get to the point where you are beating a woman so she will "obey" you, then you are the one with the problem, and it's usually a communication and control problem. Parents had different reasons for beating children and a lot of them did it out of anger and control, not out of love. Very few of our parents would say I beat you out of love, it was usually I beat you because I didn't like you doing x or didn't want you to do y. Those of us who know better know there are punishments you can give a child which are worse than a beating and get the right results without manipulation or control. 1 Like 1 Share |

Afam4eva: Normally I ignore threads like this but today I'll play devil's advocate. What is striking a woman the response to insults? Cococandy was right to call it rubbish (and I'm being polite) and right to be emotional - if someone said it was right to slap you for whatever, wouldn't you be emotional? On what grounds can you justify striking an adult you're supposed to care about because they've insulted you or said something you don't like? What if you are in the wrong? Some of the rubbish I read here makes me realise that some of you guys have a lot of growing up to do. If you want to live a life with no one saying anything to you, correcting you or even getting upset when you do something wrong, please, don't marry or just be a baby daddy and/or live the baby boy life. All of the justifications I'm seeing here are from such a myopic skewed perspective one would think all men are saints who can do no wrong and all women do is nag. I've heard men complain about their wives, when you dig deeper you realise they spend too much time away from home, or drink too much, or spend too much money, or womanise or are just inconsiderate. Those are examples, I wouldn't say that all men do this because not all men cheat, drink or spend lots of time away from home, but at some point they're doing something that annoys their wife, try to justify it and then complain when she starts to nag about that thing! When the outsider points out the obvious - usually another man - it's like their eye has suddenly cleared. All I can say is that a lot of parents are failing to raise their sons right, leaving the success or failure of a relationship fully on a woman's shoulder. That is wrong - there are two people in a relationship and it takes two to make it work. You can't hear if you're not actively listening. And women usually nag because men usually have a hard time listening. That is despite whether she's been trying to tell you something directly or indirectly. And when you don't listen it starts to grate on the other person and then it gets to nagging. Let me ignore the girlfriend thing because any woman silly enough to let some boyfriend hit her isn't grown up yet. When you get to the point where hitting your wife is an option, what does that say about you as a person? Why is hitting the thing you would resort to? The solution by and large is simple - listen. Don't be thinking of what you're going to say next, or be defensive or not take responsibility, or apologise hoping that she'll shut up, just listen. What is she saying that you're refusing to hear? Is it true? If it is, what do you do about it? If it isn't, how do you go about reassuring her? If you're not prepared to be open and honest with your spouse and communicate - both listening and speaking - and treating that person's opinion as valid (even if you don't agree), and you don't want anyone to say anything to you, marriage isn't for you. 14 Likes 2 Shares |

phardey: You don't need to submit pictures or IM conversations again but you do need to submit: * The sponsor's passport or a copy of every page of the sponsor's passport. *Applicants passport * 6 months of sponsor's bank statements * 6 months of sponsor's payslips * Sponsor's P60 * A letter from sponsor's employer * Copy of Marriage certificate * Applicant's language test certificate * Rent statement/mortgage summary, especially if you've moved from the address where you originally lived for the initial application. * Any bills in your name or both names for 2 years you have lived together. The bill thing can seem complicated but the easiest way to remember is that (1) they must be spread evenly over the two years, and (2) you should use a maximum of 3 types of named documents. Again it sounds confusing, but it can be a combination of utility bills, council tax bills, bank statements, payslips, an official letter e.g from the council, Home Office or the DWP. e.g. Water bill in both names in January 2016 and January 2017 Council tax bill in both names, March 2016 and March 2017 Bank statement in both names October 2016 and October 2017 If you have any period where you don't have anything in joint names, then you have to submit separate documents, one for each of you, for the period at the same address: e.g. Sponsor's bank statement, January 2016 Applicant's letter from DWP January 20016 You can complete the application online, and with each step you just have to remember you have to confirm what documents you will be submitting. You'll get a summary at the end of the application anyway, but it helps to start collating stuff. You'll also have to pay the IHS at the end of the application. Good luck! 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Question: when's the best time to introduce a new player? I tend to bring them in at the beginning of the season or just before the training period. And there's usually some overlap between them and the player who's being retired/sold. |

Right now I have Depay and I have to say he's exceptional. I now feel I have to phase out some 5 star players for an exceptional 5 star player (e.g. Braña) or go for 6 star ones. Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that EPL players overall rating isn't as good as those from the Bundesliga or La Liga? I usually have to check carefully before adding to my team or the teams Attack/Defence goes down. So far Rooney and Terry have been my best ones. Ozil, despite being like an 88, does nothing for the Attack, even after plenty training. |

nky2015: I suggest you write to them and include a Special Delivery, self-addressed envelope including a note/copy of your email asking for your documents. Include your reference and any identifiable bit of information. Make a note of the Special Delivery reference just in case. Send everything at least by Recorded Delivery. Once it's been delivered, go to Royal Mail's website and do a screenshot/printout of the delivery details. Email Sheffield again stating you've sent the envelope for your documents and quote the necessary. They've either misplaced your documents or the return envelope (working on the premise that you sent a SAE originally). Good luck! |

Depending on the type of renewal you're applying for, you will need at least 2 years worth of paperwork to prove you're cohabiting (basically from the time they arrived) - it's got to be documents in both of your names, and any period that doesn't cover a document in both of your names, it should include either a document in your names that covers that period. One thing that helps is being on the electoral register. You'll have to pay that fantastic health surcharge which will vary, there's a calculator that you can use to find out how much Health Surcharge you will need to pay: https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigration-application/how-much-pay The form most will need to complete is the FLR (M): https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/application-to-extend-stay-in-the-uk-as-a-partner-form-flrm but check carefully for the correct form. It will be similar to the original spousal visa application form i.e. long, and is about 76 pages. The form can change at any time, good to check it out to have an idea of the information you will need to start collating. |
Religion / Re: Is It Right For A Christian To Eat The Moslem Ram During This Celebration? by N101: 7:52pm On Sep 12, 2016 |
Okay, the question doesn't make sense. Do we eat Ram on the basis of being a Christian or simply as partakers in a meal with our neighbour or friends? Then we go back to "who is my neighbour" and on what basis are we refusing? When we go into Sweet Sensation, Mister Biggs or Mamaput, do we contemplate the religion of the person doing the cooking or serving before we order? I want to be part of an inclusive society, not pigeonholed and alienated because of belief. I want for my neighbour, irrespective of belief, what I want for myself. And I will gladly take that Jollof and cooked Ram and will thank God for it! "It Right For A Christian To Eat The Moslem Ram During This Celebration" is moot. |
