Lady Arrested For Allegedly Drilling Nails Into 10-Year-Old Boy In Enugu.

A woman identified as Mrs. Ifeoma Ezeugwu has been arrested and arraigned for allegedly drilling nails into the head of her 10 year old housemaid in two places, in Enugu.

She's also accused of burning her with hot pressing iron.

A Nigerian Doctor has narrated how an 8 months pregnant woman who had a "little quarrel" with her husband today July 1, chopped off his penis.

@drpenking said the pregnant lady chopped off her husband's penis after they got physical. The doctor reiterated that domestic violence goes both ways.

"I Bathe Naked With My Son" - Akuapem Poloo Gives Reasons Why She Went Naked In Photoshoot With Her 7-Year-Old Son.



Ghanaian actress, Akuapem Poloo has apologized for the controversial photo of her going naked in front of her son. However she also explained her reason and tried to justify it by sharing photos of others who have done same.

To celebrate her son's 7th birthday, the actress organized a photoshoot where she was stark naked in front of her son. She explained that she gave birth to him naked, and as such stands naked before him.

The photo earned her criticisms but she didn't take it down from her Instagram page.

She later shared a video apologizing.

In the video, she said she is an artist and her actions were aimed at passing a message across. She said the message is that children should not be ashamed of their parents, even when they are naked and vulnerable. She added that vulnerability isn't always physical, it could be when their parents' names are smeared, leaving them naked before members of the public.

She also stated that she bathes with her son and he's used to seeing her naked.

In another post, she shared photos of other women who have stripped down for photoshoots with their kids to pass her point. Ciara's photo was included, however, Ciara isn't completely naked in the photo like Akuapem was in hers and people pointed it out.

APC Ward Executives In Edo State Lift Suspension Of Adams Oshiomhole.


Seventeen out of the 27 members of the executives of the All Progressives Congress in Ward 10, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State have lifted the suspension on Adams Oshiomhole.



Emuakemeh Sule, Secretary of the ward, disclosed this to journalists in Abuja on Saturday.



Oshiomhole was suspended by the party in November following his protracted disagreement with Governor Godwin Obaseki.

It was on this basis a high court in the Federal Capital Territory ordered his suspension as the party' National Chairman.

Twenty-Four patients have died of Coronavirus-related complications in Lagos State in the last 24 hours.


This was contained in the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control’s Situation Report 93 published on Wednesday.

SaharaReporters gathered that the 24 fatalities bring the total number of COVID-19 deaths in the state to 107.

The report noted that 31 COVID-19 deaths were recorded in five states in the last 24 hours in Nigeria.

It said, “Four hundred and ninety (490) confirmed cases were reported in the last 24 hours from sixteen (16) states – Lagos (142), FCT (60), Bayelsa (54), Rivers (39), Delta (37), Oyo (30), Kaduna (26), Imo (23), Enugu (19), Kwara (17), Gombe (11), Ondo (10), Bauchi (, Ogun (7), Borno (6) and Benue (1).

“No new state recorded a confirmed COVID-19 case in the last 24 hours. The total number of states including FCT that have reported at least one confirmed case in Nigeria is still 36 (35 states + FCT).

“Two hundred and seventy-four (274) cases were discharged in the last 24 hours in fourteen (14) states – Lagos (165), Kano (37), Rivers (22), Katsina (14), Anambra (7), Borno (6), FCT (6), Kwara (5), Adamawa (3), Bauchi (3), Ondo (3), Enugu (1), Imo (1) and Kaduna (1).

“Thirty-one (31) deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in five (5) states – Lagos (25), FCT (2), Rivers (2), Borno (1) and Oyo (1)."

Wonosikou however, urged all religious leaders to put in place preventive and precautionary measures in their various worship centres in order to contain the outbreak and spread of Coronavirus in the state.

He said, “Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has eased the restriction on worship places and social gatherings earlier imposed on the state following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic.
“Churches, Mosques and the international cattle markets under lockdown can now reopen.”

He also announced the discharge of five COVID-19 patients from the state isolation centres after testing negative for the virus.

Police Nabbed Man For Cutting Off Own Wife's Hand In Yobe State.

The police in Yobe State have arrested one Baari Bacha for cutting off the hand of his wife, Halima Bulama.

It was gathered that Bacha intentionally carried out the act because Bulama refused to respect his orders not to attend any ceremony without his consent.

“This singular act of her disobedience provoked Baari and led to a heated argument between them which later prompted the husband to use cutlass to chop off the wife’s hand,” a source said.

Dungus Abdulkarim, spokesperson for the police in the state, urged residents not to panic.

He said the victim was currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital and the suspect will be charged to court after investigation.

Man Allegedly Beats His 8 Months Pregnant Woman To Death In Akure, Ondo State.


A nurse, identified as Mrs. Anya Adaeze aka Mummy David, has allegedly been beaten to her death by her husband, Olabode Oluwasanmi, in Akure, Ondo State.

According to sources , the incident happened last week. The deceased was 8-months pregnant when the domestic violence occurred .

It is revealed that she had a misunderstanding with her husband and he allegedly beat her up with an iron rod. The beating was so serious that she was rushed to Federal medical Centre, Owo, and upon examination, it was discovered that her uterus had been ruptured.

The baby had to undergo an emergency Caesarean section but didn’t survive. Anya was placed on oxygen and died on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020.
It was gathered that Adaeze, who was the breadwinner of the house, had allegedly revealed to her colleagues at Federal Medical Centre, Owo, about the abusive nature of Olabode before her death.

Medical Doctor Dies Of COVID-19 Treating Infected Patient In Lagos.

A medical doctor in Lagos, Emeka Chugbo, has become the first health worker in Nigeria to be killed by COVID-19 after he contracted the virus from a patient he was treating.
The doctor, who died at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital on Wednesday after being rushed to the facility on Monday, was said to have managed a COVID-19 patient at a private hospital where he was working.
The patient he was treating died on April 3.
Confirming the report, Chief Medical Director, LUTH, Prof Chris Bode, said the doctor was rushed to the facility after he showed severe signs of the virus.
The Nigerian Medical Association also confirmed the death of the doctor.
“Until his death, he was a private medical practitioner, who was exposed to a confirmed case of COVID-19.
“We condole with his immediate family and members of the medical community for this painful loss,” the NMA said.

Lagos State Confirms 16 More Coronavirus Patients Discharged.

Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday said another 16 patients, who tested positive for Coronavirus in the state, have been discharged.
Sanwo-Olu made this known on his Twitter handle.
He said, “I have more great news from our isolation facilities. 16 persons; 14 males and two females including three foreigners – one British, one Chinese and one Polish citizen have been discharged to join the society.
“The patients; 14 from IDH, Yaba, and two from Onikan Isolation centre, have fully recovered and tested negative twice consecutively to ‪#COVID19‬.
“This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 85.”

President Muhammadu Buhari has announced the extension of the lockdown earlier imposed in Lagos, Ogun and Federal Capital Territory to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country for another 14 days.
Buhari made the announcement during a nationwide broadcast on Monday.
He thanked Nigerians for compliance to the guidelines, which he said had been generally good across the country.
