Here are 9 Boku ways you can ask that lady out on a date. She’s guaranteed to say yes! 1. Write a love note Handwritten notes will always be cute! Write her a cute poem or note and state your intentions. Put it in a cute envelope and spray some perfume on it. She’ll definitely be willing to go on a date with you. 2. Send her some flowers with a card Flowers always work the magic! Send her a cute bouquet, and a card. Make sure the card has a cute note asking her to go out with you on it. 3. Nairaland / General / Watch These Nigerian Women Try Out The One Corner Dance At An Even by Naijadam(m): 7:03am On Oct 26, 2017 |
A couple of months ago, Ghanaian artist, Patapaa recorded a song known as ‘One Corner’ What he didn’t know about the fast-tempo song he made was that it was going to go as viral as it did. The song had Ghanaians all over the country doing the One Corner challenge in the weirdest places ever. Trees, everywhere, literally everywhere. Even worse was that it spread to other countries outside Ghana of which Nigeria was one of. While some people claimed that the song is demonic and has little or no meaning, it is still played at events and evokes a response from a lot of people at these places. And just when we think it was all over, we found another video of Nigerian women doing the dance at an event. Nairaland / General / 7 Slangs Only People Who Attended Uniben Will Know by Naijadam(m): 7:49am On Jun 09, 2017 |
Life in Uniben was sweet! From the Mishai at Main gate to the sweet “ebelebo” at Basement, Uniben holds great memories for many alumni. Let’s not forget how eventful off-campus life in Ekosodin, BDPA and Osasogie was. Everyone knows Warri is the best place where one can hear authentic pidgin English, followed closely by Benin. This is why many University of Benin Alumni tend to have colourful slangs and phrases in their pidgin when they leave. If you’re a Uniben alumnus, then you’d definitely know these slangs: 1. Garg While the rest of the Nigeria has Slay queen and pepper dem gang, “garg” was the Benin equivalent of dressed to kill. 2. Arrow If you have never had the opportunity to travel the tiny sliver of walkway between Halls 2 and 3, then Arrow is the snarky commentary Hall 3 boys throw at passerbys and girls in the Hall 2 hostel who happen to be outside at the time. 3. Show The two words every Uniben student never wanted to hear strung together and thrown in your direction was “ess, show” especially in Ekosodin. Show implies come over here and let’s have a conversation whereby the person telling you to show does all the talking while you hold up the listening end of the conversation. 4. Gbess If there is ever a word to describe the flight response when something awful is going down, it would be Gbess. 5. Sharperly Quickly is the younger, slower brother of Sharperly. Sharperly is the kind of fast that quickly aspires to be. 6. Change am Have you ever gone ballistic on someone when they thought you were calm and collected? What you did then was to change it (change am) for that person. 7. Lock up Lock up is our very own Uniben way of saying forget it or let it go.

Nairaland / General / Quick Charge 4.0+ Announced… Fast Charging At The Speed Of Thought by Naijadam(m): 1:16pm On Jun 02, 2017 |
If you’ve never experience the power of flash charging, then Quick Charge 4+ will be like a parable to you. 6 Months ago, Qualcomm announced Quick charge 4.0, a notable feature of Snapdragon 835 chipset that allow a smartphone to go from empty to 50% in just 15 minutes. But among the newly released smart devices of the season, like Galaxy s8, s8+, Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Xiaomi Mi 6, and HTC U11; none of them carry supports for Quick charge 4.0. Quick Charge 4.0+ can charge a device up to 15% faster, and it’s 30% more efficient when compared to Quick Charge 4.0. Quick Charge 4.0+ comes with all the benefits of Quick charge 4.0 plus 3 extra enhancements as seen below; 1. Dual Charge: which is present in previous versions of the technology but is now stronger than even. With Dual Charge, the charge current will be divided allowing for lower thermal dissipation and reduced charge time (up to 15%). 2. Intelligent Thermal Balancing: This conducts current via the coolest path autonomously, thus eliminating hot spot for optimized power delivery. 3. Advanced Safety Feature: Quick Charge 4 already includes rigorous built-in safety protocols. Quick Charge 4+ goes one step further and is designed to monitor both the case and connector temperature levels simultaneously. This extra layer of protection helps ward against overheating and short-circuit or damage to the Type-C connector. With all the 3 features above incorporated into a device, that device has the potential to charge up to 15 percent faster, or 30 percent more efficiently when compared to Quick Charge 4. According to Qualcomm, the first smartphone to run Quick charge 4.0+ technology is the Nubia Z17, which was unveiled earlier this week. The handset comes with a 3,200 mAh battery, a Snapdragon 835 processor, as well as 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Source:www.naijadam.com
