I know about the issue of overstay fine , That's not what am discussing with you, There are illegals in dubai and oman for sure, You only see the bright sides of these places and don't have the time or maybe fear to really see what's going on, So you want to tell me that the underage camel jockeys in the Emirates and Oman have a residence permit?or the guy who delivers groceries to you d earns less than $150 per month has a residence permit?I could go on but I will leave you to contradict me again and then tell you exactly how people live in this countries |

Bangla-what? I have a friend from bangladesh who once told me a story about his country; The guy told me that people cling on electricity poles when its raining so that water no go carry dem go, he says hurricane is a common occurance in bangladesh and that he works day d night just 2 get his family outta there, That was the info I got from an indigene who resides abroad now.Comparing bangladesh to naija is way out of line, Another guy I met in dubai told me that he walked from yemen to Abu dhabi on foot for months.According to him ,some guy from his village who lived in singapore came and told his parents that he can take their son abroad for greener pastures and then told them about yemen saying the americans colonized yemen and its actually called "Ye-Men" , His father paid the guy close to almost a million naira and he found himself in yemen. He says he was dressed like a snow man cos the info he got was that Yemen is cold and it snows daily. On landing @ d airport he was welcomed well cos they thought he was a rich american guy, Armed with $40 his nightmare began .He says in yemen houses are built with red mud like d ones in the village here, I don tire to type but am sure you guys get the story of living naija and ending up in worse situations, Don't visit bangladesh vietnam colombo yemen and few others cos then you will regret leaving Nigeria. |

unless your friend is western educated and speaks with a western accent then he should stay put in naija and not move an inch, Middle east countries are not good places 2 go hustle cos labour is cheap and u will have to compete with the indians pakistans and people from poor countries in Asia. 1 Like |

Its obvious that most Nigerians don't have an ounce of respect for their country. Those statements are for sure written by a Nigerian who works for Emirates. Its the free hand we give the outsiders that make em bad mouth Nigerians.SA and new york is worse than Lagos and I don't see any gbajawiri warning on their websites about those other places.Because journalism in our country is so poorly promoted thats why we don't have people who sue cos of such statements.Have been in Dubai and have heard cases of cars being looted and people robbed but we don't read about such anywhere because they have a strong hold on what journalist can print.I agree that crime is present in Nigeria but the way people potray it makes Nigeria a "No go area'and thats sad but what's more sad is when Nigerians can't stand up and defend their country even in akward situations. Am a full blooded Nigerian and have never wished I were from somewhere else, Am boycotting Emirates and the UAE from this moment. They might not notice my absence but they sure will do if others follow suit, |

joyblinks: People say Dubai is cheap cos they don't reside there but if you reside in dubai then you will know is far more expensive that singapore.Moreso Singapore has more cultural heritage than dubai where eveything is a hype For the vacationers why don't you try comparing both ;try using google directory.Compare also the rates of the big hotels in singapore versus the ones in dubai. |

Am sure ABC will dump the show real soon.People dont have to watch a soap until season 5 and still be fixing the clues. Its kills the enjoyment of d show. |

Travel / Re: Dubia & Singapore Where Could Your Prefer For Vacation? by Naijagirly(f): 12:58am On May 22, 2009 |
If you really want a good stress-free vacation then head to Singapore.Dubai @ this time of the year is freaking hot and Dubai is freaking expensive if you are going there for personal fun.Unless you want to spend your vacation in the slums of dubai dripping sweat and since you not coming from Europe then I dont think you need the extra heat |
Travel / Re: Dubai by Naijagirly(f): 12:42am On May 22, 2009 |
seun2342:Nigerians dont work in Dubai cos LABOUR is cheap over there. If you want a job you will get a job thats if $200 per month as salary is fine with you.The russians ,lebanese and even some european citizens hustle like the Nigerians. The fact that a Nigerian refuses to work cheap does not mean he has commited a crime there.Maybe you should write here the crimes Nigerians have commited. Dubai is a no go area for people seeking greener pastures;d its so sad you got to Dubai before you knew the truth. |
