It may be true that this is a scam and at the same time it may be genuine. You just have to be very careful and if along the line they requested for sensitive information and (or) payment or processing fees, please run as you can!
Webmasters / Re: Hyperlink Not Visible In My Browser by naijalink(m): 12:28pm On Mar 25, 2010
Dual Core:

Yea, I second the Cpanel issue and Nigerian webhosting clients should please start understanding that this is not a problem with the host, it is MTN's problem. For some weird reasons, MTN's IPs have a problem with handling user authenticated sessions.

You got it right, MTN is good for Site with authenticated sessions and many webmasters and users don't know this
Webmasters / Re: Hyperlink Not Visible In My Browser by naijalink(m): 12:10am On Mar 20, 2010
I check your website and I did not see any broken link or the hyperlink not showing.
I think the problem has to do with your browser, get the latest IE or Mozzilla and install on your computer.

Another reason why it is not showing hyperlink properly may be that you are using MTN data service, MTN data service prevent some website from opening properly especially, secure website and Cpanel.

The problem may be that the Windows XP you installed is pirated copy and it was not properly copied.
Get the latest XP and install properly.
Computers / Re: MTN 3G Vs Glo: For Internet Access by naijalink(m): 8:45am On Jan 23, 2010
am currently using MTN and Zain. I must confess that MTN is the worst network in Nigeria when come to internet services.
The speed is between 1.5Kbps - 2.5Kbps and the best time you can get better speed is from 12am to 6am.

I was using Zain Lite before I switch to MTN Night Data Plan to reduce cost since MTN data size is 3G for N2500. But at the expiration of my bundle plan, I was only able to used 397MB out of 3G.

The Night Plan make me to loosed my Weight because of sleepless night just because the speed was to slow and it will took me 10minutes to open a page.

Although am in Lagos but the speed right now is the worst.

Early last year when I start using it, it was better but now I will advise you to run as far as possible.

I have tried calling their customer service helpline for several time but each time I call them, I will listen to music and advertisement from MTN for almost an hour or more.
MTN Network is bad and sometime when I dial it will say network busy, Packet data not available and sometime, no network at all.

Zain for me is better more than MTN 100times and the speed is far better.
I have since switch back to Zain.
