Usain Bolt has revealed that he stopped having sex, after he discovered that it was affecting his performance in athletics championships.



The world’s fastest man who spoke to Sunday Times, further revealed that he reached an agreement with his coach on partying provided he kept winning races during his athletics days.

“In the early days, I did try having sex before a race, just to see if it helped. It was a disaster. I was nowhere.”

“I’m a young guy. I like to have a good time. I can train hard, but I also need some down time. If I don’t go out and let off steam, I go a bit crazy.

“My coach understood, and we worked out a good system. Even though I went to parties, I was still winning races. If I was coming last, sure, you can tell me to stop partying, but if I’m breaking world records, you got no right to tell me what to do.”

Usain Bolt who retired last year from athletics having broken the 100m and 200m world records and winning eight Olympic gold medals, also talked about his relationship with Kasi Bennett, the Jamaican model and businesswoman who he has been dating for more than five years. According to him, they’ve discussed marriage and he’s eager to have kids one day.

Bolt added: “I have to talk about it, otherwise my mum starts complaining. Every time I ring home, the only thing she wants to know is when we’re getting married and when we’re gonna have kids.

“Me and Kasi had a serious talk last year, after I retired, but she was just about to launch her new business and we didn’t want the pressure of trying to deal with everything at the same time.

“I’m pretty sure there’ll be some news next year.

“I want to be a father and I’m looking forward to that future. The next stage for me. I’m still a kid myself, so I think I’ll be a cool dad.”

Four Catholic priests who were abducted on November 6 by unknown persons in Delta have regained their freedom, the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.

The Nigeria Police, Delta Command, confirmed on Saturday that the priests were rescued near Abraka, Ethiope East Local Government Area of the state.

According to the Police Commissioner , Muhammad Mustafa, the victims were rescued on Friday evening at a location he did not disclose.

The victims were: Rev. Fathers Victor Adigboluja of the Ijebu Ode Diocese; Anthony Otegbola, Abeokuta Diocese; Joseph Ediae, Benin Archdiocese; and Emmanuel Obadjere, Warri Diocese.

They were said to have been on their way to the Seminary of All Saints Uhiele-Ekpoma in Edo on Nov. 6 when they were kidnapped.

The police boss, who earlier said that one of the suspects had been apprehended in connection with the crime, also assured that the police command was trailing the others.

He assured that the other suspects would be arrested and prosecuted.

“They were rescued on Friday and we are on the trail of the other suspects.

”We do not encourage ransom, so no ransom was paid,” Mustafa said.

A reliable source told reporters the priests were taken to Benin City for medical attention immediately they regained their freedom.

According to the source the priests were escorted to Benin City by the joint police and military team that rescued them.

The captors had earlier demanded for N4 million as ransom to effect their release.

A three-metre python lurking in a toilet has bitten a Thai man on the penis, local media said on Friday.



The 45-year-old man was rushed to hospital on Thursday after being bitten by the snake at his home in Bangkok, local newspaper Daily News reported.

"I felt something bit my penis. When I saw the snake, I instinctively caught it with my hands so it could let me go," the man, who got 15 stitches on his penis, told the newspaper.

"I should have been more careful. I saw a snake in another toilet in the house two months ago so I was using this one instead. But I didn't realise the toilets could be connected," he added.

In 2016, another Thai man's penis was bitten by a three-metre python lurking in his toilet. Neither of the men suffered permanent damage.

Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili, on Thursday announced her resignation from her position as leader of the Red Card Movement (RCM).



The group announced the development on Friday through its Twitter handle, @RedCardMng.

”Our Convener, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, has stepped aside from the membership & leadership of the RCM. This follows her decision to participate in the political process – contesting for the position of the Nigerian President. The new Co-chairs are Dr Tony Akabuno & Nkiruka Omorotionmwan.

”We, therefore, urge all RCM members, to stay engaged and resist any narrative that the choice for 2019 elections is between Incompetence and Corruption. Nigeria deserves better and we must all stay committed to birthing the New Nigeria of our dream.

”The RCM is a well-grounded citizens’ Movement with a well-defined vision and mission. It will continue to execute its agreed mandate by mobilising citizens, to collectively strengthen our democracy.” the tweet said.

Mrs Ezekwesili in October declared her intention to run for president under the platform of Action Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN).

The Red Card Movement describes itself as “an independent and apolitical movement with the primary objective to end the persistent and cyclical problem of poor leadership and bad governance in Nigeria.”

It was convened by Mrs Ezekwesili in January by issuing a red card to the political parties that formed the current and previous governments within which exist most of the ruling political class.
