While the world is talking about the Croatian golden generation and how well they have fared so far. Not many know that the President of Croatia is a woman. She is 46-year-old Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. She traveled to Russia to cheer her team. She traveled "economy" like other fans and she didn't watch the match from the VIP section just like the ordinary Croatian fan. 3 Likes 1 Share

Pastor Peterside during his playing days once got a call up to the Super Eagles but never manned the post for Nigeria in any tournament. In his tweet, Pastor Idah said as follows: "I gave a prophecy that Argentina will win the World Cup on the first of January (sic). i (sic) sat down watching and wishing Nigeria will win and remembering the foolishness of my prophecy if Nigeria won. BAILMONEY: That was how Yaya Toure was pretending. He made the EPL to change the gifts for MOTM because he would not receive champaign but dude was caught by police for driving in London above the alcohol limit. He lied that someone must have added alcohol to his coke in a party. How can you take coke with alcohol to your mouth and not perceive it even to the extent of going beyond the minimum level? Toure later got an 18-month driving ban. 1 Like |

Business / Tips To Grow Your Business by NairaChronicles: 12:43pm On Mar 25, 2018 |
In this article, I share a few tips that can help you give your business the desired leap into a big concern. How to Grow Your Small Business Into A Big Future Concern The following keys are very important if for every business start up. 1. Focus on Customer Service: No matter how small your business is, customer service is very relevant. American Express conducted a survey and the results showed that 78 percent of customers cancelled or did not make a purchase because of poor customer service. A lot of business people do not know that the customer is key and that one satisfied customer can do more for you what advertising cannot do just by word of mouth recommendation to others. Small things like helping your customer take the goods he or she bought into the waiting car or to offer to deliver the items if this is convenient for you can please your customer and bring you referrals. Do you know that it takes about 20 positive customer experience to erase the effect of one negative one? This is why you must make good impression on your customers. If you run a business, greet your customers and add 'sir' or 'ma.' It does not take anything from you. It only puts you in good light. People want to be respected. They want to be treated right. They want attention and you must give that attention to your customer. I remember several years back while I was a student in the University. A lady started a restaurant business and she was really cooking well so that attracted a lot of patronage. The patronage got into her head, she never cared about customer service. She was short of staff despite making better sales than her neighbours. She did not care that students were washing the plates themselves to get served. Soon, the euphoria was over. No one wanted to wash plates to be served when there was another restaurant nearby even if the food was less tastier. Soon, the 'best cook' lost all her customers and no one was willing to come back. She had the skill but she did not not have good customer service skills. This is one of the reasons good businesses collapse. It is easier to sell to loyal customers. Earn the loyalty of your customers by the right attitude. Never quarrel with a customer no matter how offended you are. Never curse or swear before a customer or use profane words. Ensure that good customer service is a priority in your business. When you business begins to grow, ensure that you hire the right staff who must at all times be courteous and helpful to customers. Train and re-train staff on good customer service. It does not have to be an expensive training. Get good books, search for sources online and develop your own training module for your staff. Attach benefits to staff who excel in customer service. You can start a customer service feed back drive. Offer some gift to customers who complete a customer service survey or questionnaire. Use the feedback to improve on your services. 2. Give Something Back to Your Community Think about something you can do for the your immediate community. You could support community development drives, charity or even help clear the drainage with your staff before work commences. Let the community see you doing something. This works to give your business a good reputation. You do not have to operate a multi national company to have a corporate social responsibility agenda for your business. 3. Use Good Marketing Strategies You do not have to spend much on advertising or business promotion drives. You could do a promo for example, a 'buy-three-to-get-one' offer or something of sorts. Do some cold calling. Do not be ashamed to advertise your business on your vehicle. 4. Build online Presence Does your business have online presence? If it does not you must create one now. I remember taking my son for a hair-cut in the salon and the salon was offering a discount if you liked their Instagram account. I quickly liked it online and got the discount. It is a smart way to get people to follow your business. If your customers like you on Facebook or Instagram or on Twitter, that way they would get to see the new products you have on offer. Again, you could advertise cheaply on the social media platforms. Facebook is good at this. For a token, they would make your business appear on the homepage of your target audience. These days online media attracts a lot of attention because because are always busy with their gadgets. Religion / How Billy Graham Avoided Scandals As A Preacher by NairaChronicles: 10:12am On Mar 01, 2018 |
Evangelist Billy Graham lived 99 years, wrote 30 books, met with 12 sitting American presidents and preached the gospel to millions. But when he is buried this Friday, March 2, in his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina, he will be remembered not only as a world-changing hero of faith but as a humble preacher whose personal integrity set the gold standard for every minister in this country. Why was this man so respected? How was he able to keep his ministry free from scandal for more than 75 years? In 1948, when Graham was just 30 years old, he and his small ministry team met for Bible study and prayer at a tiny motel in Modesto, California. The other men in that meeting including assistant evangelist Grady Wilson, singer George Beverly Shea and song leader Cliff Barrows. Graham challenged them to pray about what codes of behavior they needed to adopt in order to keep the ministry clean. The results of that meeting were profoundly prophetic. The men outlined what would become "the Modesto Manifesto"—a list of core ministry values that became the guiding principles of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. The BGEA was founded two years later, in 1950, just one year after media coverage of Graham's eight-week gospel campaign in Los Angeles made him a household word. Here are the four key components of the Modesto Manifesto, along with notes that Cliff Barrows jotted down in their meeting: 1.Honesty: "It was resolved that all communications to media and to the church would not be inflated or exaggerated. The size of crowds and the number of inquirers would not be embellished for the sake of making BGEA look better." 2. Integrity: "It was resolved that financial matters would be submitted to a board of directors for review and facilitation of expenditures. Every local crusade would maintain a policy of 'open books' and publish a record of where and how monies were spent." 3. Purity: "It was resolved that members of the team would pay close attention to avoiding temptation—never being alone with another woman, remaining accountable to one another, etc. A practice of keeping wives informed of their activities on the road and helping them feel a part of any and all crusades they undertook would be encouraged." 4. Humility: "It was resolved that members of the team were never to speak badly of another Christian minister, regardless of his denominational affiliation or differing theological views and practices. The mission of evangelism includes strengthening the body of Christ as well as building it!" Graham has always been a spiritual hero to me for this reason. Early in his ministry—in fact, before he ever became famous—he realized that his ministry was a stewardship from God and that he could not run it any way he wanted. He had to manage it according to clear biblical principles. Graham never forgot his humble roots, and he never let popularity change him into an egotistical monster. Even though he was invited to dine with presidents, queens and celebrities, his passion was taking the message of Christ to the common person. And when an usher tried to segregate black and white sections of an auditorium in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1953, Graham removed the barriers himself. "I am not a great preacher, and I don't claim to be a great preacher," he once said. "I've heard great preaching many times and wished I was one of these great preachers. I'm an ordinary preacher, just communicating the gospel in the best way I know how." He also carried with him a healthy fear that he might try to touch God's glory or take credit for evangelistic results. Graham said: "So many people think that somehow I carry a revival around in a suitcase, and they just announce me and something happens—but that's not true. This is the work of God, and the Bible warns that God will not share His glory with another. All the publicity that we receive sometimes frightens me because I feel that therein lies a great danger. If God should take His hand off me, I would have no more spiritual power. The whole secret of the success of our meetings is spiritual—it's God answering prayer. I cannot take credit for any of it." So much of what we call ministry today has been compromised by ego, marketing and man-made agendas. Some of our own "Spirit-filled" preachers are happy to sell a healing or a financial miracle for $29.95. Others claim spiritual superiority because they have the largest following on social media or because so many lined up to attend their packed conferences. We have exchanged honesty, integrity, purity and humility for hype, fake anointing, manipulated photos, inflated attendance reports, sensuality and boastful swagger. God forgive us. Billy Graham raised the bar for all ministers. I pray we will never forget his legacy. Source: https://nairachronicles..co.za/2018/03/how-billy-graham-avoided-scandal-his.html?m=1 3 Likes |

Politics / Fela Durotoye Confirms He Is Running For President by NairaChronicles: 3:53pm On Feb 22, 2018 |
THURSDAY, 22 FEBRUARY 2018 FELA DUROTOYE CONFIRMS HE IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT As you may already know, over the last 13 years, I have committed my life and resources to doing all I can to build a New Nigeria that would be the most desirable Nation to live in by December 31, 2025. From nation building projects like Mushin Makeover (which was recorded as the largest non-governmental urban renewal project in Africa’s history), to raising the standard of education in our schools and higher institutions through projects & initiatives, to helping our young people across our nation Deliver The Future to corporate transformation projects and most importantly championing the largest non-governmental Values Infusion project through the 10 lifestyle personal creed that we share together on this network that has now been endorsed and actively promoted by a multitude of Nigerians across all gender, tribe, social class or religious affirmation. As I have stated severally on this platform & in public, I have come to the conclusion that Good Governance is critical for any nation to accomplish its full potential. Infact, without good governance every other good work carried out by its citizens would ultimately be like pouring water into a basket and is therefore not sustainable. This is why it became important for us to set up the RUNNING FOR A NEW NIGERIA platform, where we galvanize a critical mass of people who would participate in the governance process either by VOTING or BEING VOTED FOR at the 2019 General Elections & beyond. In line with our Values one of which is to “BE A ROLE MODEL WORTHY OF EMULATION”, I had to decide to get involved in the political arena rather than staying on the sidelines and only challenging others to go in. It is my hope that as I step unto the political scene, many more of our brightest & best will arise to heed our nation’s clarion call to contest for elective offices, win the elections, and most importantly collectively deliver good governance to our nation. Therefore, to be clear, I am aspiring to contest as a Presidential Candidate in the 2019 General Elections. A lot of people have asked me “FD, what party will you be running on? Is it APC or PDP”? Whilst it is true that these parties may have formidable grassroots structures, I strongly doubt that these old parties with their old ideology (of God-Fatherism also known as Selectocracy, Rulership, Money Politricks etc) would be able to deliver to us a New Nigeria. And so, over the last few months, I have researched into several political parties to determine if their ideologies, vision and values resonate with those we share together on this Network. I am glad to announce that one party has resonated more with me than others in Ideology, principles & a truly democratic internal political process that is open to all to aspire & provides a level playing field for the best candidates to emerge at all levels for Legislative & Executive offices. I believe it is safe to say that I have found my political home, which I truly believe would be a HOME FOR ALL NATION BUILDERS. Today, 2pm, 22nd of February 2018, I would be formalizing my membership with the ALLIANCE FOR A NEW NIGERIA (ANN) & formally joining the party. ANN is a party founded by Professionals & technocrats with great political insight & wisdom required to build a formidable nationwide grassroot movement within the next 12 months & beyond. The National Chairman is Dr. Jay Osi Samuels, a Medical Doctor & a Renowned Public Health Practitioner respected globally. As I move further on this noble cause, I’d like you to pray with me for divine wisdom, grace, favor, courage, strength & discernment. Secondly, it is my desire that you will like I have done decide to step in the political arena & go beyond just registering to vote but also becoming a member of a Political Party where you would have voting rights, ability to choose your own candidates amongst those aspiring for office and where your potential aspirations cannot be stifled by any god father. I strongly believe that your involvement in the political arena either as a member or aspirant within a political party would strongly enhance our ability to deliver good governance for the New Nigeria. As you thoroughly consider the various political parties, I’ll like to recommend for your favorable consideration the Alliance for a New Nigeria. I want you to join ANN not just because I asked you to, but only if the Party Ideology resonates with yours as it does with mine. You can check out the party & also join online via this link: www.alliancefornewnigeria.org Lastly, as we together run for a New Nigeria, I would like us to create a buzz for this major milestone and spread the news by sharing the images from my page to all your social media handles, using the hashtag #RunningForANewNigeria & #DeliverTheFuture. It’s 12 months the Presidential Election and we only have enough time to ACT QUICKLY, so let’s make each day count. It’s time to choose our future over our past… IT IS OUR TIME… And together, we will deliver the future. God Bless You. And May God Bless our Federal Republic of Nigeria. Religion / Those Who Will Not Like The News About Stephanie Otobo's Confession by NairaChronicles: 4:13pm On Jan 27, 2018 |
The Christian community not just in Nigeria but across the globe were in deep shock to learn about the alleged side-chick of God's servant Apostle Johnson Suleman. The plot was cleverly scripted and handed over to Stephanie Otobo to play by some powerful persons who wanted to get back at the fiery apostle. While Ms Otobo was making her spurious allegations, some personalities/organisations showed that they really were either a part of the script or were profiteering from the plot. Such persons included those who enjoyed high traffic especially on youtube. SAHARA REPORTERS & DR DAMAGES Sahara Reporters, a popular online medium with operational base in the US made a meal of the scandal. It was clear from the kind of publicity they gave that they were a part of the plot to smear the image of the man of God. FESTUS KEYAMO'S CHAMBERS Festus Keyamo (SAN) was hired to defend Ms Otobo. The question is could she have afforded the legal fees? A second question begging for answers is why was the Chambers arranging several press conferences on a matter already in court? Is it a case of causing damage to the reputation of the man of God before the eyes of the public given that all they need at that time was just to throw a salvo and then watch as the man of God will left in disarray? DADDY FREEZE No doubt Daddy Freeze the OAP has made himself popular from his smear campaign against men of God. He is certainly not happy because of the confessions of both Ms Olunloyo and Ms Otobo. He is not happy that men of God have been vindicated. He believes it is a rouse. If he is sincere. Will he not show support to those two and congratulate both Pastor Ibiyomie and Apostle Suleman for their vindication? Who is Freeze working for? Can he say what he is doing is really for God? CHIDI CADET NWANWANYU H is architect of Nigerian descent and also a Canadian citizen. Chidi is resident in Canada. He claims to be a pastor and the leader of the Nigerian Christian community. While he pretended to be succouring Ms Otobo, he in fact was one of those promoting the scandal from the diaspora. As a paid vlogger, he cashed in on the opportunity to produce several youtube videos and of course since Apostle Suleman was involved he got the views he needed to cash in on adsense. Chidi gave Ms Otobo a platform to produce a music video at the peak of her popularity pretending he was offering spiritual counsel to Ms Otobo. KOKOLISTIC MAMA Another Nigerian that made so much profit from the scandal is a lady who goes by the name of Kokolistic Mama on youtube. This lady profits from making videos disparaging men of God. Her recent video on Apostle Suleman in which she seeks to re-ignite the scandal before Ms Otobo's confession has over 1,000 views. In the video she wanted Ms Otobo to continue from where she left off. Little did she know that as she was making her video on January 25, 2018, Ms Otobo was making plans to make peace with God and to confess. May God help us. https://nairachronicles..co.uk/2018/01/those-who-will-not-like-news-about.html |
Sports / Giroud To Chelsea Is Likely by NairaChronicles: 2:30pm On Jan 27, 2018 |
The intrigues in the current football transfer market continues as the market is set to close on 31 January 2018. According to reports being monitored, Chelsea are interested in signing Frenchman Olivier Giroud. However, Arsenal Gaffer, Arsene Wenger will not allow Giroud leave unless the Gunners sign Gabonese Pierre-Emericl Aubameyang from Dortmund. Aubameyang The UK Mirror reports that Arsenal are prepared to do business with Chelsea. Dortmund are also prepared for a swap plus cash deal for Aubameyang/Giroud. However, Arsenal is unable to match Dortmund's asking price for their valued striker. It is understandable that Chelsea desires to sign a tall centre forward to allow for long balls into the opponents vital area to be utilised. A trait which is currently lacking in Antonio Conte's set up at the Bridge. The UK Guardian reports that Crystal Palace want lille defender Ibrahim Amadou but have two bids so far rejected by the French clubside. London newspaper, the Evening Standard reports in other news that Arsenal's Santi Cazorla is set for a new contract with the Gunners if he can prove fitness. The 33 year old has not played for the club since October 2016 having undergone 10 separate operations on an Achiles tendon injury nightmare. Tottenham are confident of signing Lucas Moura from PSG having already visited London for a tour with the permission of the French club. The Brazil international cost PSG €38m from Sao Paulo in 2013 but has managed to make only six appearances this season. https://nairachronicles..co.uk/2018/01/latest-in-winter-transfer-window.html |
