It seems you came from a very rich home, for you to say 5k is not enough weekly...

What does he wants to buy? That he can't manage 5k weekly just on food alone?

Before I graduated 12years ago, my parent used to send 5k to me for one month, I know how I'm going to manage myself...

School is one of the place you can curb and learn how to manage your present spending to suit your future spending, as things will keep being on a high side
Lol..You comparing this present economy with an economy before buharii Era, Seriously?

12 years ago a loaf of bread probably cost 40 Naira. Today, that same bread cost 200 Naira. 5,000 Naira was a decent money 12 years ago, a money a person could live on for a month and I lived on it.

12 years ago my pocket money that would last me for an entire session was just 5,000 Naira. Looking From where I am standing you are the one who came from a very wealthy home.

Tk is enough for you to manage in a week if you are not a heavy spender...

The truth of the matter is, things are expensive these days, but 5k can still be utilised well, provided it only on food and not considering any other things...

It impossible!!! Probably possible 5 to 7 years ago. 10k a week could be manageable for a student.

oga it goes beyond fundamentals. Why do you think whales and market makers target the order blocks and make price plunge below or rise above a strong order block to clear liquidity? The system is not fool proof have enough money and you will control the markets
All you will control is speculation (short term trading) but you will never influence the direction of the currency in the longer term.

Your billions can influence what the price will be 10 minutes from now but 10 years from now it is the fundamentals that will influence what the price will be. If the fundamentals are bad and getting worse for the underlying asset, it will eventually reflect in its price. This is true for a commodity, crypptto, stocks, currency, real estate whatever out there.

ask luna, ftx and thosands of other projects shorted some to death others may never recover. All it takes is have enough in the war chestthen look for a weakness or glitch and short. people have made billions from that
Yes! You and others like you shorted it because it was heading downwards and something must have triggered the downward spiral. You guys jump on the waves, you follow the trend and it why you all made money from it. The project did not plunge to ground because you shorted it, it plunged to ground due to some fundamentals reason, some of you guys saw this fundamentals flaws and ride the waves.

The Naira did not become an overnight failure because people were shorting it, it was as a result of years of wrong political decisions, some have visualize this situation before hand and have gotten out and there are those just seeing things now and are getting out and there are those who are making money from this woes but in the end it all as to do with fundamentals.

If the fundamentals become better, The Naira will rise again. If you short it, you are on the wrong side and you will lose. So, it not about short or long but what is the fundamentals saying.

I actually do feel very sad for them. We all make mistakes, sadly; there are mistakes you will have to live with for the rest of your life. It sad because this type of mistake will keep cropping up in your life forever, having negative effects.

It a mistake that can never walk away, it can only be managed. That is the situations this single mother have found themselves. I have a lots of these people as a friend but they use to see me as their white knight.

You think demand and supply on chart decides prices huh....leave elementary economics and come to the real world where we look for weaknesses and glitches in a system to take advantage. Nigeria is plagued by a plethora of problems and some set of entities have become too fat having benefited from years of exploiting the system so much that they can bring down the system.
America defends the dollar by printing trillions of dollars whenever there is a problem but poor Nigeria can only go borrow 3 billion dollars to defend Naira. The Naira is at the mercy of any whale that can put it in a sizable amount of dollars to keep shorting it because there is just nothing to defend it
It all goes back to demand and supply. It difficult to short something everyone want, doing that will be a fool’s game. You feel safer shorting shitcoinns than when you are shorting bittcoinn. The Demand for the Naira is just not there and then there is this insatiable demand for the dollar.

Printing money does not solve any problem. It even creates more problems, it effects shows in the long run.

It means those people can in the next 24 hours decide to make a dollar to become just 10naira if they want to....or they can make a dollar to become 1million naira per one if they want to since they are the one who now decides the dollar rate... grin
The level of ignorance is baffling. P2P is an open market, all currencies of the world are currently been traded there. BDC can deal with Rubies, Euro or the yen if they want to on Binance, go there and find out.

Naira is not the only thing being traded there. Why are all other currencies not crashing? Why are they not spiraling downward?

Ether, BNB and even Sol can be traded on P2P, Naira capitalization is far greater than the last two but why are they not spiraling downward like the Naira? This goes back to demand and supply forces. It simple!

People are getting out of the Naira and no one is coming in. If there is any one coming in at all they are far less to those dumping it. If this scenario should be happening to bittcoinn, it will also head downward until it find a new base.

Everyone knows the country is ffff but if we are really trying to trace the root of this recent decline then we wouldn’t rule out any options. Oseni of arise news would always say “ text book economics is different from real life realities and the current events have proven that( the government have tried increasing interest rates, floating the naira and all other things we see in economic textbooks and the solutions ain’t arrived at yet); so if I was asked to point out factors contributing to plummeting of our currency, I wouldn’t rule out the Binance p2p.

And it’s really funny their aim for doing this … the think they are getting more monies but in actual sense, everyone is getting poorer. In the short term, you can have more monies to manage your micro needs … pay transport, eat food etc but on the long run you cannot be to do major things with money. The extra 100k you made on a 1k dollars wouldn’t be able to make up when prices of flights begin to adjust. You used 1 million to buy 1k dollars, but if air lines adjust their prices following dollar rate, the extra 100k you have on top may not cover it. The same applies to every other thing. Ask business men today how they are faring and you would understand: you may sell your goods today at 2500 and when you go back to buy same goods and quantity, you will discover it’s now be sold at 3000… that means you didn’t make profit from the previous sales and your capital is depleting. Go and check prices of iPhones today, most are adding 50k to 100k … is it this your extra 100k that you are going to use to make up?

We are all getting poor unless you are earning more dollars not merely defending your meager 1k dolllars or 2k or even 10k
Don’t you just get it? The people are broke, 90% of Nigerians no get up to 500,000 Naira for account. They can’t broke the currency. People trading p2p do not even have the firepower to raise the price of BNB not to talk of the Naira.

Prior to this whole p2p thing, the central banks ban the banks, financial institutions from the transactiing of cryypt00 because the Naira was failing, still it does not stop. What is happening to the Naira is on a Global scale beyond internal, it supply and demand forces at work. This current stage we are in has been setup a long time ago majorly due to bad political leadership and funnily it yet to change.

No one want to hold the Naira, no demand for it. You are not producing anything!!! Your citizens are selling their houses, businesses just to push for visa to travel overseas to earn other currencies.

You can be deluded as much as you want but p2p is not even anywhere close to cause of the downward spiral of any currency. Currencies are meant to be traded, if your economy is poor money will leave the economy and move to where things are bubbling. Money goes where it needs to go. And I tell you, we have not even see the suffering yet, at all!!!!!!!!

In here, the life of an animal is safer than that of a human. I can confidently say a goat can trek from Lagos to Abuja barefooted and still comeback in one piece but I cannot confidently say the same for a human.

People are ruthlessly dumping their properties, selling their houses, borrowing money just to get out of here. And you are there watching them and still wondering why we are tanking, blaming an exchange for our spiral decline. It really funny!!!

Why haven't other countries been affected by the p2p market too
Lol…This dollar thing choke ooooo. People don confuse. Bittcoinn is listed on all exchanges, p2p, spot, futures and so much more. Why is it not constantly tanking like the Naira?

A currency is not just a paper or a symbol. It is a representation of an economy. If the economy behind it is in great shape and doing well. It currency will also do well. What can you say about the situation in Nigeria? Is it a place where foreigners will comfortably want to start a business? Why is that her citizens are all running away? Looking for ways to get out.

Answer this question and you will know we don’t have a nation and we should not even be having a currency.

Hi everyone, this is something I have observed for some time now.
Ever since my last relationship in 2021 I have found myself not loving any lady. I was emotionally invested in that relationship makachi. embarassed

I can slide into a lady DM and start a conversation. Interesting conversation, but I get easily wearied. I will just lose interest. I have had the opportunity to meeting interesting dates, but I easily pull out the plug .

And I have been seriously searching for a partner ohhh. This is not funny Man.

One lady that I have genuinely open up to love said she isn't ready for emotional relationship now cos she want to focus on her final exams coming up . She is begging me to wait for her till December. I like her cos we are best of friends now. But as it stands now, I don dey develop cold feet towards her.

I honestly don't want to come to terms that I won't find a lady to love cos I seriously want to settle down.

I am 34. Working and doing well for myself .
Is there something I can do to overcome this ?

I seriously want to open up and love somebody daughter
It has to do with the environment you grew up from. You are probably raised by a single mother. You are highly individualistic. You love women, you fantasize about sex but the idea of committing to a woman, one lady for the rest of your life just do not sit well with you.

The first shock I recieved in Kano was the glaring absence of women in income earning roles in the society. Roles, that have generally carried on by women elsewhere such as selling food items in markets, corner shops, secretarial roles e.t.c were being occupied by able bodied men. My final straw was going to a big local market in Tarauni. In the whole of the market, there were only two women selling- you could guess where they were from. Kept asking myself, without education and finance, what say do the women have

Coming to rape- hmm... let me not talk cos this would even traumatise me. You mix an insane amount of drugs and insane anount of poverty... Lord knows what you get. Do you know that people smoke soakaway, cement, gutter? I've seen 'chemist shops' with freezers full of codeine containing cough syr. People come to buy cough syr like others buy soft drinks
Please can you just not share your experience anymore; as regard to Kano. You are ruining it for me. I still look forward to visiting the second largest city in Nigeria.

Romance / Re: Men Should Stop Having Random Intimacy In This Bad Economy by narite: 9:18am On Oct 14, 2023
Serendipity2023:
INTIMACY IS LUXURY NOW

Nigeria economy is in it's worst state.

People are living in excruciating abject poverty.

Hard working folks--who hitherto were living fine-- earning honest living are struggling to survive, begging for crumbs.

It's worrisome that some praise singers-- especially from and for the APC-- deny this reality just because of tribalism or peanuts they hope to get.

Allied to this are the motivational speakers who live in delusion and have sworn not to accept reality even when they are in penury.

I have never seen such cognitive dissonance before.

I ADVISE Nairaland men to manage what they have well as times are hard.

Reduce number of girls around and unnecessary expenses attendant to it-- I have done same. Or look out for low cost intimacy.

Intimacy is not really a primary need.
It's luxury especially now.

This may not be the time to pay a useless side girl 30k and book a hotel of same amount with other expenses---- unless if you can comfortably afford it.

Your family and relatives may need that money more in this bad economy.

Good luck!

Pastor Serendipity writes from his bedroom in Trenches!

Well, they still celebrate the birth of first child but as for the subsequent ones, when they hear 👂 of their friends putting to bed again, they heap a heavy sign of disbelief. Hope this guys think this through?

Same thing happened to me a week ago... I did a digital transfer to someone because I didn't have any cash on me, the guy claimed he didn't receive any message, I told him to wait a bit and he'll eventually receive the alert, but still there was nothing.

He then took my contact details and told me that he'll call me in case he receives the alert... Two hours later he called me and told me that he still didn't receive anything, I told him to wait for at least 24 hours and he'll eventually receive the alert and the money will reflect in his account... The guy didn't wait for 24 hours, he came to my place the following morning with a woman, I'm guessing it's his girlfriend, they must've thought that maybe I scammed him... grin grin grin... He told me that he still didn't receive any alert and the money was not yet reflecting.

Already I could see that the lady was looking unpleased and ready to explode like a bomb.. grin grin grin.. fortunately, my fiance was in my place and I asked him if he had any cash with him so that he can help me pay the guy, I didn't dare try to argue with him because the lady looked like she was ready for world war three... grin grin grin... I showed him proof that I sent the money, but gave him cash anyway because he kept on saying he needed money for petrol...🤦🤦🤦

He promised that he'll return the money immediately it starts reflecting in his account... I didn't trust the guy and unfortunately for me, it was a Sunday and there was no way for me to call the bank and ask that the money be reversed, the following day was also a public holiday... Tuesday finally came and I went to the bank and asked that they reverse the money, the bank kept delaying and apologizing, I was really pissed.

They kept sending me one email after the other requesting for one thing after the other instead of requesting them all at once... I just wanted to bomb it at that moment..😅😅😅.. I finally received an email from the bank last week on Friday evening informing me that the reversal was unsuccessful, after paying for those expensive bank charges to have my money reversed...🤦🤦🤦.. They instead advised me to consult with an attorney to help me get my money back.

I called the guy the following day and asked him if he hasn't received the alert since the day I did the transfer, he told me that he received an SMS but he wasn't sure that it's from my bank... He asked for my name, I told him... He said the message consisted of the same name but he wasn't sure if it's me, as if the same person who beared the same name as me sent him a digital transfer on the date... grin grin grin.. I asked if another person with the same name as mine sent him a digital transfer, he said he wasn't sure.. grin grin grin.. I then asked if the money finally reflected in his account, he said he's been busy he didn't have the time to check, that he'll come to my place and show me the message.

I told him that I was very sure that the message was from my bank and that he should go to the bank and transfer the money back to me or withdraw it and bring it to me since he's not familiar with the whole digital thing... I was starting to get worried that he might start ignoring me and block me everywhere, but to my surprise, he came to my place to show me the message and I confirmed that it was from my bank and he gave me my money back.

I was already considering the idea of reporting him to the lawyers, but he just showed me that there are still good people out there... smiley smiley smiley

Omo laugh wan kee me this morning for here 😂😂😂😂😂.

I share and agree with majority of what you said. But I still think most of the OP's prospective students actually know the drill better than the supposed teacher 😏.

According to the OP, this opening line will get the attention of the "smart" ones you talked about:

"I don't like messaging ladies I don't know,
but when I do...it means she has a beautiful
smile"

Would you open with that to the "smart" ones? 😁
Firstly, Chatting with smart ladies it all about catching cruise being a straight shooter (confidence) but combined with intellect. Saying things without brain will make you appear rude, irritating, rash and disgusting ( I guess this is the hardest part for most men)

You say things like you are just cruising not serious at all. I am assuring you; ladies knows how to decode things than we men. They get the real message without you saying it too serious.

Secondly, complement is good. Ladies loves complement, they constantly seek for it but never give it to them too easily. If you should do; they will instantly, intuitively know that you are a faggöt and They just finish blocking your type.

If you are going to give them complement, say it in such a way that the complement is not what you are actually going for but something else but you just have no choice but to point out the complement. This is kind of hard to explain. Using the Op example of sending message to a beautiful lady you saw on Facebook, I can say something like this.

Me: Good afternoon

Her: Hi

Me: I don’t know how to say this but For the past few days i have been extremely bored. What is even more worst, the people i keep coming across seems to have a more boring life than I am. I am Sure the devil himself most be finding my condition pitiful right now. He probably must be shedding some tears for me.

( point I want you to notice from this; is how I am telling her straightforward, right from the very beginning about my bored life but in not too serious a way)

Her: Lol. Hmmm

Me: Anyways; I was scrolling through this app like I always do but this time; I saw this glowing, gorgeous, seductive creature. Beautiful beyond human comprehension, then I say to myself; there is no way this creature could be Boring.

(Notice how I complement her, as if the complement is not what I am actually trying to point out but something else. Or make her prove herself, if she truly is all that I described) This is how you complement a lady. Never be direct with it. And most importantly notice how I am not too serious with words but just cruising. Ladies are good at decoding message. She knows all I am trying to say is can we be friends.

Her: Lol

Me: or is it possible for something to be bright and dull at the same time?

Her: Lol…I don’t know ooo

Me: I am from Ibadan. Where are you from?

Her: Ekiti

What the OP fails to understand is that most of these girls re fucking dumb dey can't hold an active conversation That is a very greedy acts from them

Yeah! Most are dumb. The dumbs ones are easy to fu**cked without going through too much chitchat. I buy her some little stuffs, invite her over and get it over with.

You don’t establish meaningful relationship with the dumb one’s. Puss**y is all they have to offer and puss**y should be the only thing you should accept.

While the smart ones cannot be easily Bleep***ed with a plate of rice or some little cash offer. This ones are more intelligent. So, they are drawn to you by your level of intelligence, this has to do with how you dress, your confidence, if you are a great conversationalist (here comes what the OP is trying to say).

If you are the opposite of this things, meaning you are raggedy, lacks confidence, boring talks. They are going to take you for a faggöt. Your money can’t buy their puss*y, if you force it with money, you will end up becoming what they call mugu. It is this type of ladies you establish a meaningful relationship with. Anyone cannot just bend her over with a plate of rice or because you have got some beautiful gadgets.

In conclusion, there are two kinds of ladies; the dumb ones and the smart ones, don’t be deceive by the way they look (I can carry dozen’s of books and have absolutely nothing in my head) In their case, it the fashioned, graceful way they dress. know the one you are dealing with and the ways to deal with them.

I'm in urgent need of a huge amount of money to sort out my rent and some other debt before the month runs out so I'm willing to sell the domains at a ridiculous price. The domains are:

1. Apartmentsrealtor(dot)com
2. CarServicesChicago(dot)com
3. ChicagoIllinoisMover(dot)com
4. ChicagoElectricBikes(dot)com

The domains were all priced at $300 each but I'm willing to transfer all the domain for just $400.

Attached below are images of the domain under my current registrar, Namecheap.

If you're interested, reach out to me on WhatsApp through 08111327587
#100k for each name. Strange! Domainers here will not only buy names at one-tenth of your asking price, they will also buy better names.
