I still find it difficult to believe that some secretaries are sleeping with their boss and coming out in public to confess. |

1.To collect the doc from them, and keep it till my boss comes back. 2. lf its urgent, l would contact my boss on phone and seek his advice. 3. lf he could not be reached on phone, l will pass the doc to the next snr Manager. Yes, that is what any reasonable person will have done. But since you have decided to take that singular action and your Boss is still not back, I think you should find a means of letting him know about your action. This will allow him to take the necessary step in case he has an opinion different from yours. This will save you too. I hope I am not taking the matter too far. |

Hi Colleagues, I don't mean to be mischievous about the NIPS Seminar. The way they do it is that, they reserve a room in a Hotel - Otta, Lagos, Kaduna, Jos, etc. That is where they normally hold the seminar. Two or three resource persons invited from some other organisations will be the ones to take turn in covering the eight or more topics intended to cover. But don't be supprise if you find yourself among participants of different course (meaning, they can convine two or three courses at the same time - mostly the courses contain similar topics, just change of name). But actually, they will treat you well, provide you with a very good breakfast and lunch. You will also meet different people and make friends. Above all, you will definitely learn one or two things that you are not aware of before. Hope I am O.K. now. I wish you luck. |

Hi everyone Does anybody remember that this week i.e. (April 20 - 25, 2008) is the Secretaries Week (aka Admin Prof. week - American). Are you aware that Wednesday, April 23, 2008 was the Secretaries day. Do you celebrate the week/day. If yes how? Please let me hear from my professional colleagues. |

MayPeace, I was with them since 1999. They have two types of membership. Corporate (Organisation) membership and individual membership. Individuals in an organisation can come together, form a branch and register with the Association. There is also an individual membership. For a branch to register, it is N5,000.00 and for an individual, there is a form for N1,500.00 and then N5,000.00 processing fee. When this is done, a certificate will be issued. They normally organised a workshop annually after which an Annual General Meeting follows. There is also what they called a National Consultative Committee Meeting where matters affecting the Secretarial Profession are discussed and a way forward sought. This is just a summary. Thank you |
