gerald09: Personally I believe is is just BS, how do u use vehicles to tackle security. By driving by n harassing every citizen u met I hope for the best, or by using it to disrupt citizens with noise pollution, or by providing security to the people that actually courses the insecurity, or for the police not to have fuel to go on operations. Please could somebody tell me how these cars will help tackle security. This was d same tin T Orji did to tackle child trafficking. Dis is really a di*ck move There is no better proof of the efficacy of patrol vehicles in fighting crime than this: Let's assume that a crime is being committed at Ojuelegba, and both of us are at Ikeja, while I set out in my patrol van to Ojuelegba to disrupt the ongoing criminal activity, you on your own will proceed to the same place by trekking or looking for someone to give you a ride, who do you think will get their first? You see, there's no gain saying the fact that patrol vans are very necessary and critical in crime eradication. By the way, it is your comment that is actually a 'di*ck' move. Just saying. 1 Like |

horpe132: I swear to GOD i hate dis idea !!!.......Must these Governors buy Vehicles ?? Shut up. It's obvious that you don't have the capacity to recognize a good move even when it pokes you in the eye. Kudos, Mr. Governor! 1 Like |

cupid4ig: Rubbish he probably bought the award, as far as I am concern peter obi hasn't done anything in his 2nd team, all he does is buying landed properties all around anambra state. He has stuffed enough money that's why he is quitting active politics. Smh For your information, Peter Obi, arguably, is be the richest candidate ever to vie for governorship position in Nigeria. I don't blame you because you may not actually know how rich this guy was before he went into politics. Politics may have actually made him poorer. Go ask Dangote about Peter Obi. People in the know will tell you. His record speaks for itself. He is the only governor that has not borrowed a single penny from any where, thereby, not saddling the state with huge debt. Despite that, he has been able to achieve a lot. A visit to Anambra State will surely convince you. |

Pennywise: This might not be the 'anointed babe'. The wealthy pastor may yet be cultivating a few hearthrobs. A gift of a new car might appear huge to ordinary folks like us ], but to a man of means like Okotie, that might as well be cellfone. Let the Delphine girl enjoy and not worry too much about what tomorrow brings. She looks relatively young. For a man like Okotie who has been around, deciding on 'which girl' cant be easy. I just love this kind of romance scenario- single, loaded senior with a PYT. Hehe. Point of correction, Me, I no follow u be ordinary folk ooo. Me too, na man of means just like chris. So, next time, write 'ordinary folk like me'. 1 Like |

EASTSIDAZ: It's obvious that you cannot see beyond your nose. When people in the know talk about the negative impact of such super stores on mom and pop stores, it does not mean their total disappearance. Some may close up, while others may be trudging along. And for those that disappeared, you may never get to hear about it, but that does not mean that that never happened. Anybody with some modicum of understanding will agree with my postulations on the negative impact of such super stores on the micro economy of a given place. Unfortunately, there will always be idiots like you, that sees anything from the western world as a yard stick for measuring development. The government should focus more on attracting investments from foreign manufacturers of goods and services, instead of attracting firms that will dump all manner of finished foreign products on us. I have said my piece, you can go ahead and exhibit your ignorance the more. I'm done replying you, i'm too big a fish to honor you with further replies. 2 Likes |

Bliss4Lyfe: Make una no vex, but it seems every extra story in Nigeria involves someone from the east. It makes me wonder the level of intelligence and sanity. Wat do dey learn at school. You see how stupid you are? No doubt, you are a slow poke. When has the name 'Sebastiane' become an eastern name? It's high time NL examined the level of intelligence of people on the forum before they were allowed to make comments. 1 Like |

cogsej06: Immature or Mature kudos 2 Iyanya....serves my crush ryt. What was she thinking? 2 marry him...hmmm too bad, she should hv realised ddat Iyanya is in his prime n as a cutie too, omo e no go easy 2 calm d guy dw wen babes dey flock around. Moral lesson 4 babes...once Ur guy dumbs U, no need cryin foul just move on as if nothing happened afterall U both had fun while it lasted. I believe that you are bereft of understanding, if you cannot see why people are mad at the so called iyanya. Now, let me break it down for you, if it's too hard for you to understand. Nobody is mad at Iyanya for chopping and leaving Yvonne, people are mad at him for free styling with her name and their relationship in such manner. Yvonne never for once said anything bad about the short nigga, and it's still very obvious, that she misses him. Why should the short iyanya condescend to the level of degrading Yvonne publicly in such a manner notwithstanding that that he was not actually into her? He wouldn't be the first to use and dump a lady, but it is very rare for playaz to talk sh..t about ladies they use and dump, talkless publicly, in such manner. This brief guy not just disrespected Yvonne, he disrespected the entire womanhood, including his mother. I have never had any single respect for him, so, no need to say he lost my respect. 1 Like |

ighoosagie: some moderators here on NL re as*sss* hole, Don't feel so bad. These very unnecessary ban are ploys being used by Seun and his minions to increase the number of registered members on Nairaland, so that they can use that for advertisement purposes. They all know that once you are banned, you will attempt to re-register using a totally different identity than the one you used earlier. So far, they have been succeeding. Most registered members on this forum have like 2-5 different identities created when they were banned in the past. That's why you see the penchant for banning of members by the moderators. Truth be told, the actual membership number for Nairaland is somwhere in the neighborhood of 500,000. |

chino11: Good one. Onitsha markets are gradually turning into Malls, I noticed this at Main Market Onitsha. U guys are jokers. What is good about having a super store in a locality? There's nothing good about that, rather, there's everything bad about it. For your information, the presence of Shoprite in Onitsha will definitely lead to the death of so many mom and pop shops within Onitsha and beyond. Shoprite basically sells the same type of products as these mom and pop stores, and obviously, when people are faced with the choice of shopping at Shoprite or at a mom and pop's, they will go for the former. It is never good for the local economy and that's why you see some county governments in the western world resist the siting of these super marts in their locale. |

Policewoman: Thanks sir. Some of us are actually more educated and polished than most Nigerian think. Sorry. You know why. |

eGuerrilla: If that's the way you comprehend speeches and articles, I will suggest you go back to school. There was no need for the emphasis, as Rawlings was not referring to just Nigeria. He was talking about Africa as a whole. The issues he raised were not peculiar to Nigeria, they are the banes to the progress of Africa as a whole. Had it been that they were peculiar to Nigeria, then, the need for the emphasis would have arisen. It was nothing but a case of twisting of Rawlings speech in order to score cheap political points against the president. Premium Times should be ashamed of itself. |

rodeo0070: You will be sinning if there were poor members of your church that this money will go a long way in helping. Please, it is a waste of resources, channel it into a better use. Though I may not have known the man, but I have the feeling that he would not be happy with this, taking into consideration his humble beginning and the eventual growth in the Christendom. |

ebamma 3: The biggest beneficiaries of nigeria's unity are the igbos followed by the hausas Wouldn't you rather say, that the Igbos are the architects of Nigeria's unity, being that you can find them virtually in all nooks and crannies of Nigeria? There is no singular act that out-weighs that when you talk about the unity of the country today. |

ekwah: There's nothing wrong with that, I know. My issue is that OP seems very surprised and highly elated that Oyibo girls could dance to Kukere music. We dance to their brand of music every day and nobody gives a damn. 2 Likes |

A typical Nigerian inferiority complex. Why would you be surprised that white girls are dancing to Iyanya's music? We dance to their music every freaking day, and they are never surprised seeing us doing that. Why must their case be different from your perspective? Mtcheeeew! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 Likes |

What do you expect from Aljazerah? This is an Islamic media, and Boko Haram is of the Islamic religion, so, they must write something in support of an Islamic agenda. I very much doubt you will see that kind of report from them if the state of emergency were in some other part other than the Islamic north. 4 Likes |

ger_gemam: see for yourself that guy doubting on #100.... Bad Belle people. No be bad belle my dear. I'm just trying to contribute my little quota into making Nairaland a standard to other blogs. OPs should be careful and make sure their posts are clear and devoid of ambiguities. The Op here, should have clarified that DJazzy actually meant N100,000.00, even though the tweet says N100,00. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. And by the way, N100k is no money for some guys, it might be for you though. |

ufotuko: it takes a smart person to know that it was 100,000 naira and not 100 naira, dull ones will think it is 100 naira, that is why naija is still back-ward because we have too many dull leaders and some dull citizens like you Ufotuko the sharp man, I react based on what I see and not based on suppositions, okay? The tweet says N100,00 and you expected me to read extra meaning into it and not take it literally? The tweet is not that important for me to start guessing what Don Jazzy actually meant. It was for the Op to clarify his post, Mr Sharp Reader. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I.Joan: Redeemed people papa, you are wrong this time. God gave you your position as a way of making positive impact on the lives of people. Could you imagine what would have happened had Jesus refused to criticize the Pharisees and Sadducees because he would not like to influence people the wrong way? These people in power often come to you for prayers and you do pray for them. What stops you then, from telling them to their faces that they are nto doing well? Don't allow the immense influence you have on our leaders go wasted. The prophets of the biblical times that you do use as examples in your preaching, did what you are shying away from doing. The poor masses don't have the opportunity of confronting their leaders, but you do. Do that on their behalf. Don't wine and dine with every leader while pretending that all is well. It is not. Working in the Lord's vineyard is not for the coward! 2 Likes |

calebo101: Now i know most people i have been interacting with on Nairaland are kids. I am so sorry to all those i exchanged words with, to the children i have been rude to i tender my apologies. How was i to know many of you are still kids? I though there was an age limit or so here. So sorry. Nairaland keeps dwindling to lower levels every passing day. Someone please come up with something better so Seun can sit up. All those computer geeks for mouth please create a competition and end Nairaland's monopoly. The market is ripe. My brother, you hit the nail on the head. Many a times, I wonder what I do on Nairaland after seeing the level and age of the so called Nairalanders. And these teenagers are the ones that won't even give a second thought before resorting to insults and name calling. And to top it all, Seun and his mods are even thumbing down the site more and more. If not for my strong desire to know what is happening in my country, I won't even touch this site with a ten foot pole. Have they asked themselves why they have not been receiving strong patronage from advertisers despite being the most visited site in Africa? It is because the quality of the content keeps getting very childish by the day. Seun and the rest, it is high time you guys sat up, otherwise, I'm ready and willing to bankroll a competition that will give this site a run for its money. 5 Likes |

prodam: I dont know why some peeps are just jealous or envy of young dudes. They keep calling them all sort of names and setting for them unnecessary limitations. haven't u heard of young n wild n free?.. With this type of written English, it may actually be true that Nigeria has no future. Young man, my advice to you is to go back to school or to study your books harder, before you venture into criticizing 'some ignorant older ones'. I weep for my country. 3 Likes |

Smuthx: Series of events that may occur here. International politics is like a chess game. Very amateurish analysis. No Jupiter will will make the Israelis allow the missiles get into the hands of the Syrians, even for a second. If they like, let them send the missiles accompanied by UFO from the mars. Do you know how seriously the Israelis take those missiles? It is an existential threat to them. A missile that the Syrians could use to strike at the them at will, and which has a great potential of falling into the hands of the Hezbollah taking into consideration how weak Assad is right now. I seriously doubt the Russians will try that, having been warned by both the Israelis and the Americans. I believe that they are just bluffing and trying to save face. |

Her bane was excessive greed. She is a personification of what excessive greed can do to an individual if left unchecked! If you want to teach your kids about greed and its repercussions, use her as an example. |

bloggernaija: The governors obj went after were not performer .apart from ngige who started performing after his trouble started and tinubu who was too hard to rumble , the rest were actually corrupt non performers. I seriously think that you were not yet born during the last OBJ's administration. I won't be surprised if you're about 5-7 years old. |
