Dear NL,

Here is my story.
I got a visit visa last year dec to expire this year june. I’m a final year student of babcock university, i had some research to work on was the reason for my long stay from the 6months visa issued - i stayed for 4 months. I decided to go back to nigeria to do a dependent visa on my wife who just got an unconditional offer for her PG admission (sept intake).

Do you think i stand a chance of getting the dependent visa?

When i did the visit visa (my marital status was; single) and a student (trip was sponsored by my parent. Although i attached my parents bank statement and also my own bank statement (wch showed evidence of funds available to me, assessable to me)

I’m now married to my partner.

I know ppls status can change anytime.

I intend to show POF for both my wife and myself separately.

Tie - Pictures, Chat (Whatsapp - Evidence we’ve been dating for years) - from far back as 2017 till date, Marriage Cert, (Address on Bank Statement)

I’ll be done with my program at BU this year, but I’ll like to do the dependent visa just so i can visit my partner anytime in the UK.

Please Advice if i stand a chance of getting the dependent visa.

In my personal opinion i would say yur feeding cant be ignored. As much as the eco wants to have a clear understanding of yur income, they also want to have a clear understanding of yur expenditure.

Having a bank account with only credits and no expenditure is money lodgement I believe. So as advertised sir/ma by others as well I suggest u run the account as normal and not be sooo keen on leaving a fat closing balance.

@alert20 Well noted... Thanks for this wonderful explanation...

Do i have an edge using my job/work profile and by registered business?

Also how much is the minimum balance required to maintain on both personal and business account.

Nbid are you married? Or are u under ur parents? If yes i can let you know how to cover up for the feeding.. sorry im a bit busy hence the late reply
Then for the business, yes you are allowed to have a business and job
U will only need to reiterate that this business is on the side and you will need to project it as a strong one bcus for me ur salary of 91k is too low to show economic tie.. too low
Oh just seeing that u are single... for ur business money, it is strictly for the running of ur business and how u can claim money from there is to have a salary from there as well paid to you monthly.
Do this for 6 months to beef up your total monthly incomes from both ends to 300k. I think thats d safest but for now financially i dnt think u are there yet to be issued a visa

Thank you so much for the clarity.. @giselle237

With your supposed calculations if i can takeout the sum of #220k to be paid as salary to myself from the business account that would go a long way... ( Do i have to merge the payment into my *** work salary account) or another seperate account entirely which will serve as my salary account from the business)

However with the total sum of 310k total montly income from the business and my job.
What will be my expenses #80k? (40k from my job & 40k from my business)
Savings #2300k

If i have roughly 1.320k in (220k X 6) business
Job: (50k X 6) 300k
If at the end of this period i have above (1m in my business acct)

Do i stand a chance of a good profile this way...??

Thanks for every support at explanation @giselle237

@giselle237 pls i need your advise on this...

Dear NL,
I currently work with a bank (3rd year) as a support staff earning below (100k monthly) and 1.1m (annually).. I have a registered business account (LTD) which has been functional for the past 6 months with a turnover of about 1.7m so far (Operating as Event Planner/Food & Nutrition Planning ETC)...
My plan is that i intend to apply for UK visit visa later in the year or anytime soon as i get a concrete guideline after the whole pandemic immigrational laws and restrictions must have subside.
I can get my outsource to give me a list of some of the required documents but is it really advisable considering how much i earn, will it carry enough weight for this whole processing or should i just improve on my business account fully instead.
But my idea is since ppl do multiple jobs even overseas, i would want to believe that the ECO/VO would understand since all documents will be provided of bot (Business Profile and Individual Profile of me being a banker).

I can get my outsource to provide the following;
introduction letter as well as my 6months payslips
Proof of employment
Offer letter.
Then other documents as regards my registered comp can be prepared by myself.

I was able to collate this list from what i have learnt so far from this thread
UK TOURIST Requirements:
International passport ( 6 months validity)
Bio data page2 passport photos
Proof of employment
6 month bank statement
6 months pay slip
Introduction letter from employer
Offer letter from work
Self introduction letter
Official I.d card (Both Registered Business and Bank)Certificate of incorporation( if you own a business)

My financial strength..
I have balance of 1.7m in my business account.
I haven't touched/spent from my staff salary account for the past 4months and i intend to leave it there for the next 8-10months will have a balance of (400-500k) in there by then..

Please kindly advise on whats best to do.
Travel Experience.. (none)
Age (late 20's)
Marital Status (Single)
I have been reading this thread for the past 2 weeks,
I am so impressed with what have learnt so far.
Please kindly advise.

Thanks @alert20..

Please kindly advise on whats best to do.

However, ignore how i feed... I'm only leaving the balance in my staff salary account just because i wan't it to reflect over that 6months period of time for bank statement purposes.

Please advise on what do do.. Thanks

I don't think this idea is good, have you been eating for the past 4months And where is the feeding money comes from DONT SHOT YOURSELF ON THE LEG.... BUSINESS MONEY IS MEANT FOR BUSINESS, YOUR PERSONAL INCOME IS WHAT YOU SPENT ON A MONTHLY BASICS, BUT YOU SAID YOU HAVE NOT BEEN SPENDING A DINE, SO WHO HAS BEEN FEEDING YOU FOR THE PAST 4MONTHS✌️
