Took the essay assessment today. All I can say is read wide. I want to make the information public so that everyone can benefit. Please do not DM me. Sending a DM will only help you, not others. I will try as much as I can to cover everything I learnt from the entire process. You'll be given 1hr 30 mins to answer one question out of three questions that will be provided. I'll advise that you don't take only what I have said as a base for your preparations. E go backfire o. Reason is, like we were told, everyone's questions are different. Your no 1, 2 and 3 will be different from that of the person next to you, and the next and the next. I think they have a myriad of questions and they allocate as they like.

Like they said, no pressure. They want to see how analytical you are, they'll check for grammatical errors and so on. The essay will not be hand-written. You'll be provided with a system to type your essay with. I want to believe that you can type.

You can also request for paper from them to put down your points and organize your essay before you start typing. If you are not given, ask. Personally, I think it was quite easy. Maybe because I am an economist and I understand a lot of economic jargon. You don't need to read a text book or every article you see online to be able to answer the questions. I am speaking for myself remember, because I have no idea as to what other people were asked to write on.

I believe that if you have read Economics, Finance or any Finance related courses and you know your Economics, you ordinarily should excel in such a test. I will not rule out the importance of keeping up with the latest trends. That will help you understand the question a whole lot, and keep your answer up to date.

Overall, the experience was great, I'm convinced I wrote tremendously well, but obviously, that will be up to Meristem to decide.

For the questions I was asked I can only remember 2. So, I will only give 2 and try to frame the questions to seem as similar as possible to what I saw there today.

THE QUESTIONS I WAS ASKED.
1. The first was about whether the CBN has been able to curb inflation in the past three years. (I attempted this one)

2. The second was about the challenges faced with the use of cryptocurrency.

The questions were lengthier than this, but this is as much as I can remember from them. I was more focused on the one I wanted to attempt and was developing points on it.

Wish you all the best.

Hi, good morning, did you write the essay on the 2nd? Have u heard back from them yet?

I haven't taken the essay assessment yet. I however, passed the online assessment test recently for the Meristem Starlet Pogram. I have not been scheduled for the essay assessment yet. Could you give me pointers as to what the essay assessment could entail? Seeing that you have taken it yourself. Thank you.

People posting opinions but nobody is really helping.

O well. Now I can rest. One full month of uncertainty. I really hope the inefficiency doesn't affect those that eventually get hired. Quite a big red flag.

It's been 10+ days. How long does it take to mark an assessment test and get back to candidates? These employers and recruiters need to do better.

Has anyone gotten a feedback from grand Cereals yet? It seems they have already reached out to successful candidates already.
