Nigeria is now known as a terrorist haven. Let that sink into your rotten mind.

This is not a laughing matter. Being compared to Afghanistan or Pakistan, because of these Northerners is an insult.

So just shut up you goat and stop spewing trash.

nigga, terrorism in nigeria exist in SS, SE and NORTH..

the terrorism of brother against brother as you have in SE is worse than terrorism of others against you.

if your homeland was free of terrorism i dont think these guys will be in the north. the fear of kidnapping, okija and robbery is what scares them away from their own land. instead of calling hausa names, why cant you cleanup and make alaigbo accomodating for your brothers to resettle?

fool!

deandavid: that is not the issue now, the kidnapping and ritual u talking about can stil be traced to the many years of misrule by the north, who refuse to develop the country. So dnt just go there.

so are you saying the misrule by north was the reason okija shrine uses kidnapped persons for rituals? if it wasnt for the northerner misrule there would be no kidnapping and robbing in SE?

i told you comedians are starting to troop in. grin grin. very entertaining!

GEJTILL2019: I hate islam...where is maclatunji? Imagine nigeria without ISLAM?

without islam you still would be killed. look at SE, no islam but you see how everyday someone is kidnapped or robbed at gun point and they end up in okija shrine or in ezu river. SE is a land of christianity, why hasnt the absence of islam on your land given you security?

@Oga AlexO we can not advocate the disbandment of MASSOB at this time. Their modus operandi has to change. As per relevance,MASSOB and bakasi boys are more relevant now than ever before. You See, Up north they are using BH as a violent tool for power . In the SW , the OPC is transmutting into a political party via UPN.

We are going into a make or mar political transition which requires that we have our own form of stare/scare personality.

is it possible you can stop banding OPC in the same category as you did here when you listed regional terrorists? angry

i checked google to get more info, not that i found much.

one blog claimed farabale is peace [not exactly correct], since alaafia is a loan word from hausa or arabic.

alafia is an authentic and original yoruba word, it is not loaned from anywhere or anyone.

toro means calm.

i double checked and it seems toro isnt generally substituted for peace because someone/somewhere can be calm without being peaceful.

alaafia, on the other hand, is more encompassing and has a wider, more thorough definition as peace.

this is what i learnt outside google.

on google, i found samuel johnson's definition which describes tooro as calm. However, this was when i did a check on tooro after i remembered the word.

Using European language to equate meaning to Yoruba words will result in precisely the outcome you stated in the bold. We must not say because there is a word called health in English, then Yoruba must also have a word to match it. Our language is functional and with intimate values to them. European languages are generally conceptual and detached from the originality of mankind.

Iwa is part of wellbeing, omoluabi is part of wellbeing, kaaro o jire is part of wellbeing, ise logun ise is part of wellbeing,........ all these and many more like them are part of homeopathy and balance in mind, spirit and body. Yoruba sees the individual as an integral part of the cosmic force and when he/she is attuned in mind, in spirit and in body to the elements and nature then a state of balance is attained. This balance is his/her state of wellbeing. Alafia!

tpia@:
That being the case, then alaafia should primarily mean health, or well being.

Maybe in some areas, its meaning is peace.

in western culture they focus on health and less on wellbeing.

in yoruba customs we strive for balance....the wellbeing of the individual.
Culture / Re: The Meaning Of Peace In The Different Nigerian Languages by NegroNtns(m): 7:22pm On Mar 17, 2013
tpia@:
^ actually, it seems the other two posters were right.

alaafia is considered the word for peace in yoruba, although i previously thought alaafia simply meant health or wellbeing.

even if you google it, alaafia is what comes up.

Ire means honor, blessing, success or prosperity (eg ireakari or orire).

and yes, ibukun also means blessing.

i also dont know if ire is used for peace in different parts of yorubaland.

lol! thank you but google cannot teach me my tongue. yoruba has no function for health. we talk about balance....wellbeing!

alafia - wellbeing
ayesi - honor
ibukun - blessing
ere - success
ola - prosperity

ire - peace

Actually, peace in yoruba is toro, or tooro

Different from toro which means to borrow or beg.

And toro which means penny

Not sure why it didnt come to mind before, maybe the word is no longer used as much.

toro/tooro - sustain/continuum

Ire means blessing or honour.

I'm not sure there's any word meaning peace, in yoruba.

lol.

blessing = ibukun
honor = ayesi

peace = ire.

Bestglo: peace = alafia

don't know whether this is yoruba or hausa though undecided

lol. it is yoruba but it means wellbeing.

peace - ire

it is absurd that obis and igwes would leave their palace. and travel to another man land to resolve troyble between igbos.

somebody needs to teach them how to hold council in their domain and summon boniface as*s to travel to abakaliki or wherever council is holding and explain his issues. the king dont travel outside his domain, this is abomination!!

what kind of fok shyit is this ?

yorubas complain about marginalization, to correct it Gej removed a qualified yoruba with another qualified yoruba for replacement. in fact, this is a deficit replacement. Gej has screwed up ijaw's chance to ever represent south south for the next 60yrs, assuming what remains of nigeria last that long.
Culture / Re: Racism Of The Jews: We Were Created By God To Serve The Ppl Of Isreal by NegroNtns(m): 10:04am On Mar 14, 2013
much of Israel racism is unreported because as a "protected group" any criticism of them is often faulted as anti-semitism and in european countries you commit crime when you speak against jew.

Judaism in halakah (legitimacy) is matrilineal. By selectively tampering with child bearing capabilities of black jew women they are doing population control (a sub-form of euthanasia), the exact act they accuse nazi Germany for.

I dont give a fvck about jew, just as they dont give a fvk about black. by declaring that they are God's chosen people they already discriminately exclude non-jews from God's Grace. Only God can exclude a people from his Grace and he did not designate jews to speak for him in this regard., neither has He issued suxh decree.

Some of the jew haters on supremacist websites are plants working ti keep the crminalization of criticism alive.

Semitism is not the exclusive birthright or tongue of jews, the culture and language is broadly shared across diversities of people. The monopolization of semitism is calculated towarda a design to completely lay claim to the length and breadth of the region from Red sea to Euphrates and from Meditteranean to the gulf.. Christianity accomplished that, its why we cant find any Hebrew Bible today......Rome used tongue identity to conquer adversaries. Islam has done the same when it forced that only Arabic tongue is allowed in prayer.. Israel has a long term vision of using tongue to monopolize action and response to its cultural values.
Politics / Biafran Income Tax And Massob by NegroNtns(m): 8:56am On Mar 14, 2013
Massob had declared that it would start collecting tax, beginning Feb 16th, from Igbos in East and everywhere else they exist.

I wonder if Massob followed the Ladipo saga and heard how much income Igbos in just one section of Yorubaland were making. I heard an Igwe was dispatched with Okorocha on his appeal visit to Fashola. Could the anonymous Igwe have been there on behalf of Massob?

I am watching and following to see how Ladipo and its mega income could be tapped to spearhead an economic campaign that will favor a political victory for Igbo in 2015.

Net-net, there is no reason why Ojukwu library, championed by Massob, could not be rebuilt with tax remittances from just Ladipo alone.

you dont say Nna...Now it is a national problem.

I only know one Nurtw in the whole of Nigeria and he is from Ondo , TOKYO....if there are Nurtw chairmen in all 36 states we no dey hear about them only Tokyo and his thugs....must be a Yoruba thing

apparently you have not be following nurtw events around the country. How is tokyo a worse person than say tompolo, even though they follow different line of career? use your sense, does it say yurtw or does it say nurtw?

if the location in yorubaland is a failure, then it shows tha the east and north locations are failures equally for missing the opportunity to help their comrades resolve these misunderstandings.

if this was in east or north having trouble, the west comrades would have stepped in and helped. this is a union, a national one.....not a regional or ethnic institution. shame on nigeria!

Which people/names were mentioned in the news? can any one from another tribe in Nigeria head the NURTW in any yoruba land? when it happens in your tribe you will criminalize and castigate it.But when it happens in your tribe you will nationalize it. If this news involved the Igbos or other tribes will you make this your statement?

what people are saying is that your people claim to be more respectful, educated, well mannered, united and saints. No tribe is perfect you guys run your mouth too much. Take it or leave it.

shut up and face ya front! angry this na national union, dont focus on who the persons are....pay attention to the nurtw itself. there is nurtw in north and east and they fight in those two other regions as well. why is it diffrrent if a national union located in yorubaland is having a minor and simple internal misunderstanding? you want to make into news something that is not newsworthy. and just shut up, dont reply! yeye. angry
