I cannot ask her about who will send money o. This girl is looking for any opportunity to just swallow me. As if I'm the cause of her sickness. Fighting with a sick girl is what I can't get into right now
you don't need to send her packing. Make her understand that she needs proper care and not the ones you've been providing. Convince her to go to her parents and do her the favour of taking her home. If she go die for your house, trust me you no go get mb update us for nairaland because you may end up cooling your heels behind bars. Sharpen up guy.

Phones / Re: The type of phone you use is a reflection of who you are. by Nelrulez(m): 6:13am On Jan 05, 2016
Toks2008:
Phones they say are just necessities and not luxury but in many parts of the world especially in Nigeria, many people see phones as luxury and they tend to want to use the very expensive ones even when they can't afford it and knowing fully well that any phone can be stolen no matter how well you guard it.This has made me believe that indeed the type of phone we use goes a long way to tell us about who we are.

Some will say its a gift but then most times, the source of the gift is also a pointer to your personality So if you meet any guy or lady,it is very easy to know their personality just by taking a look at the cost of the phone the person uses in comparison with the person's financial status especially in Nigeria..How?

1.A Guy or lady who works but uses an expensive phone that costs higher than their monthly salary is wasteful.

2.A jobless lady who uses an I-phone 6 or very expensive phone is either a runs girl or has rich parents while a jobless guy who uses an I-phone 6 or a very expensive phone must be a yahoo guy or has very rich parent.

3.A gainfully employed man or woman who uses phones quite cheaper than their monthly salary is very prudent.

4.People who brag about their love for expensive phones irrespective of their income are proud and extravagant.

5.A very financially ok person who uses phones less than 10k is very secretive and could be hiding something.

6.Anyone who uses a phone that is binded by rubber or taped is terribly broke.

You can add yours...
I concur with your facts.
Business / Re: Some Things Online Store Do Which We Don’t Know About by Nelrulez(m): 12:21am On Dec 18, 2015
adanny01:

My point is, when you make an order and select pay on delivery, you check the order before you pay or send the guy back.

The reason why i dont shop with Konga is that their price is never lesser than it is in the supermarket or where that item is sold. I have never seen one of thier product cheaper than what Jumia will give you. Lastly, Konda charges delivery for each item on the cart while Jumia has one charge for the lot. You may end up paying 5k as delivery for items that are worth less than the 5k on Konga but the option of pick up on Jumia kills it and makes it cheaper.

Jumia is the only online store in Naija, i am not their marketer or sort but by the number of things i have bought at unbeatable prices with free vouchers as bonus. Bro, I understand but the mistake I made was telling our maid to receive the package on my behalf.. I didn't hesitate in telling the customer care representative that they were fortunate that I wasn't at home to receive the package myself but one thing is certain, that they've already lost a customer and that I'll discourage as many as possible not to shop with them..

If Kaymu mixed your order, it doesnot mean Konga or Jumia will do same.

I am amazed which the way we Nigerians glorified online store. To the extent that some people no longer visit the near by market for their needs or ask questions.

What made me to pass this information was the day l made enquiry about the prices of different inverters make and it range. I was surprised when l compare the prices given to in the market and the once online(despite their cunning discount, l know a lot of people are falling to this). What made my curiosity to grow further details about online stores, are as follows

1. When l was having a discussion with a lady. She told me that when she check the price of a particular material in the Internet and when she unknowingly went to the product dealer store.
2. Trade fair.
Now without wasting much of your time. This are what online stores do that you think are right

1. They are Wholesalers but sell higher than Retailers(are you surprised, then make enquire).
2. Some items you buy cheap online are either old one or given as gifts, charity etc.
3. Don’t be fooled by the discount because they are not fool to loose profit.
4. Old items but repackaged in a new box (you know what l mean).
5. Some products are not in the same grade with the original products (Quality Please).
6. Some are used as charity to some particular region but sold to you.
7. They are agents for companies from other countries.
8. They discourage Small scale and Medium Enterprise in an unknowingly way (this is a very complex issue which need a great understanding to the subject matter).
9. Welcome to the business world were you have to survive. So ..........

Note l am not discouraging online business or by from online or whatever you think. I am just passing out information to anyone everyone.

REMEMBER “INFORMATION IS POWER”

Nigerians be wise

Online shopping is pure rubbish to me. I could remember ordering T-shirts from Kaymu and they ended delivering babariga suits. This is something I couldn't wear. I kept those T-shirts as souvenirs and remembrance for me not to mess with online shop.

Find out the character of the overall boss from your friend who works there. Also talk to the big boss about your fears, am sure he will tell you something to put your mind at rest.

Also it is a good idea to go with someone. I volunteer if my schedule aligns. I hate injustices and oppression.

The OP to me is not that attractive, I keep wondering why she's getting sexual advances from men. Young woman check sense of dressing . Maybe you dress seductively because I don't see you to be that attractive to a state that every guy you work under would want to get in-between your laps. #Just saying. On to the main issue, I won't suggest you not going to see the director. The best bet is for you to unseat the bastard. You can as well tell the man that you've lost interest working with his coy but you not going to confront the reggae blue guy is cowardice. Trust me dude ain't gat nothing to do to you.

Hi nairalanders,

A brother, who is currently working with a company in ibadan and also stays in ibadan, has got himself in a condition which he needs nairalanders to be of help.

The issue is;

where he's working nw, he's been paid something above 80k sha which is obviously not the worth of the job and his kind of person cuz he has his ph.D. But because of the situation in the country, he decided to stick to the job till he gets another one.
His hustle paid off last week friday when he got another job in Lagos and the pay is above 130k with other monthly allowances. According to him, he loves his current job as it's less stressful and makes him closer to his family. He considers Lagos as a place that is very stressful and will probably cause him to relocate. But the pay is higher.

Now, he's thinking of threatening his current boss with his new job nd pay, maybe the boss might increase his salary and beg him to stay. He is staying with his younger brother in one of the houses his father built before he died. So he doesnt pay house rent with his salary. All that will change when he get to Lagos.

What he wants Nairalanders to do for him is to advice him whether;

-to go for the new job since the pay is high and try to get used to Lagos situation and since he is a ph.D holder, he might higher opportunities from there.

-to stay and continue with his current job since his expenditures are far low.

-to threaten his boss to increase his salary. What if the boss dismisses him? He might end up being in where his mind doesn't.

Thanks in advance.

Personally I think 80k in Ibadan is better than 180k in Lagos but considering the academic qualification of the man, I have to be sincere that he's bin short paid. He shouldn't be scared of facing challenges in life. Let him talk to his boss for a raise and if the man is not ready to do anything, let him go for the other option. From there, better opportunities will come his way. He shouldn't relocate with the family immediately. Let him take his time to study his new environment and find his footing before bringing in responsibilities.
