Thanks, sorry for my many questions...did the school apply for your OSHC or you did by yourself? which of the cover did you pay for? can one pay for one year cover only for visa purposes though your course continues for the second year? I am trying to maximize cost cos am travelling with family. OHSC is quite high for family cover. God bless.
jackson2dye4:

I paid for OSHC, the total was about 7300AUD

my job experience is on the combined list and limited to either subclass 190 or 489.
WellEndowed:

Have you checked that the work you do now is not on the skilled list?

Canberra is a city

@ WellEndowed, you have been so helpful and resourceful. God bless you. I have just applied for IT Networking at Canberra Institue, although my first degree was in Languages and masters in international relations all in Nigerian Universities. Work experience is 6years customer service. I am switching career just so as to fit in PR after studies. The course is between 1.5/2years. Please what do you think of Canberra? Is it a regional area? possibility of job, growth and opportunity? I plan to travel with spouse and 3kids. Please advice. Regards.

kudos to the gurus @Austinpee4 @folaroyal @eraytee, thanks for all your worthy contributions. I will update you.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by neny2k2: 12:50pm On Mar 29, 2017
Thank you so much Austine. God bless you for that quick response. but My baby has a US passport I tot she could travel to Canada. Thanks again
Austinpee4:

1. Once they recieve an review your biometrics info, the online status will change to 'Not needed at this time'. So exercise more patience and look out for that. It will surely be updated.

2. Since you did not undergo an upfront medicals before you submitted your application, you will have to wait for further instruction from the visa office to undergo one. You cannot proceed for one now because an IME code (immigration medical examination) has to be generated. This is usually done either by the hospital before you submit your app or by the visa office after you have submitted your application.

3. Most courier companies DO NOT transmit passport across international borders unless there is an ORDER or a binding AGREEMENT between the sending and recieving parties. It is ILLEGAL to do so without proper authorization. So you may choose to come back home upon request for your passport.

4. Depending on your child's age, purpose of accompanying you and duration of stay, she may need to apply for a VISA.

God bless you all for all your contributions, I have benefited immensely. Please I have some questions. I submitted my application online on the 13th Feb 2017. I Did Biometrics on the 16th but it is still not uploaded on my online application status. I have emailed CIC Ghana no response.
Secondly, I would like to travel to USA but wondering if I can do the medicals before I travel next month ahead of CIC request.
Thirdly, can I courier my passport to the embassy while in the USA, when visa is approved?
Lastly, my daughter is US born, can I travel with her to Canada for my studies? Or need to apply for her Canada Visa too?.

Thanks gurus in the house , I appreciate your assistance with the above.

Hello Kento, pls how did you submit a financial statement in your online application. Do you mean your statement of account? Was it signed or stamped by your bank? By having enough money according to your statement, like how much is enough money? I just applied to the University of Victoria. Masters in French. Any other advice from the gurus in the house is most welcomed...for visa application and family visa application. I plan to travel with family of 4.

Thanks Hartson for this heads up on RSA quite encouraging. Pls can you help with the Immigration Lawyer contact your friend used? Thanks again.
hartson:
Sorry I didn't reply your query immediately I have been very busy @ work.In a nutshell,That is one top secret the consultants or lawyers won't tell you.RSA is listed among the requirements to show as evidence of fund therefore if you must use your pension fund then provide statement of account when you opened it with detail contributory history, have your PFA write a backup letter that it can be withdrawn at anytime. My friend's immigration lawyer used it and it worked. He is in Canada enjoying his life.Thank you

Can someone verify this? Someone in LASU told me i have to pay additional N10,000 to the school for WES Verification. and also pay to courier the verification. so apart from your transcript, when WES sends verification mail to the school, you have to pay this amount to LASU so they can verify your education to WES and courier it(additional courier fee). is this true? I am just wondering why so much expenses on this evaluation thing.

The other questions have been answered save for number 4. Yes, you can use a statement of result in place of certificate. I hope this helps

1. Yes. It is one payment for both certificate Bsc and Msc.
2. You have to evaluate ur husband certificate separately.
3. Yes. You will pay for the evaluation to be sent to you.international delivery if you are in Nigeria.
4. Don't know. Maybe the Gurus in the house can assist.
5. Depend on spouse degree. I know Msc is 10 point.

Hello Peeps, I am new on this thread and i have been blessed with all posts. I am about to start my application process but i have a few questions. I would appreciate your help.

1. Do i pay one evaluation fee($210) with WES for both Degree and Master's certificates evaluations or pay for each ?
2. Do I evaluate my hubby's certificate separately or do all including mine in one application with WES?
3. Do you pay for the result to be sent to you or to CIC, which of the fee for delivery as i am a bit confused with the delivery fee options.
4. Will our statement of results be enough to send to WES since we haven't got the Certificates yet?
5. what is the score for my spouse education and must it be evaluated?

Thanks in anticipation for your kind reply.
