Career / Re: Online Degrees? by NET1(m): 4:24pm On Sep 15, 2011
Is there any University where I can study Computer Science? I checked up on a few (such as Phoenix), but they only offer degrees in some areas of Computer Science - not the whole thing.

If anybody can help me with a University that offers Computer Science online.

Programming / Re: Microsoft Access Database - Please Help Me by NET1(m): 5:48pm On Sep 10, 2011
I can only anwer 2 and 3 right now:

Question 2: You cannot convert it to VB.NET because VB.NET uses web controls. Access uses Windows controls. However, you can 'connect' the Access database to the VB.NET. Here's how:

Open your VB.NET application. Click on Project menu, select component. Insert an ADO control. Select the ADO control. On the Properties, specify the Record source (which is your access database). Then, you specify the Data Fields (which are the fields in your Access Database).

Your database should be able to connect to your VB.NET application very well.

Question 3: You can stop people by using any of these options:
a: Hide the Primary Table. To do this, just select the table in the navigation bar of Microsoft Access. Right click it and choose Hide.

b: Alternatively, you can convert the Access Database to a MDE or ACCDE file. To do this, (if you are using MS OFFICE 2007) click on the Tools menu, click Database Utilities, then click on Make MDE file. But if you are using MS OFFICE 2007, click on the menu called 'Database Tools', then you click on Make ACCDE file'

Warning:The MDE or ACCDE thing is a permanent change o. Make sure you have a backup copy before you do it.

If you have any other challenges or other things you'd like to do, you can call me on 08037971139. PS: Access is very powerful. The only thingis that SQL Server or ORACLE are better Database engines for server-based applications

Honestly, I am beginning to think I made a fatal mistake by voting GEJ into office. Please, is there no way we can recall him? I thought he could be the answer to the problems of the country, but I guess I was wrong.

I ask one more time: Is there no constitutional method of recalling our oga (GEJ) from Aso rock? Don't tell me to wait till 2015!

elomi,

This is noble. Where do we use as the office for the SDA? Maybe we can use your office for now.

Also, are there plans to include those of us who do not reside in Lagos? e.g PortHarcourt, Abuja, etc.?
What are the requirements for membership? I think we need to convene a meeting as soon as possible to kick off this noble idea.

Computers / Re: Any Datacenter In Nigeria (Lagos)? by NET1(m): 4:09pm On Aug 09, 2011
EuroMeko:

I never will dissuade any entrepreneur but any business that relies on power needs to be seriously given a hard though on.

Diesel is pricey and a data center MUST have uninterpreted power supply.

Also, you need two data centers for load balancing and in case of natural disasters, especially if the main one is in Lagos - coastal community.

I currently manage a data center (one of 3) in the US for one of the largest hospitals in the country, hit me up if you have solid questions in the later stages.

Euromeko, I think you might have some more knowledge on this area. I'd like to know more about your datacenter and the experiences you have had. How do I reach out to you?

It is very sad NOT having the courage to tell a girl you love very much how you feel about her.

I'll advise you try and be friends with her first. Then, you can know her better and then yarn your manifesto.

Romance / Re: How Would You React To Being Dumped? by NET1(m): 5:18pm On Aug 03, 2011
Dump?  I've had it six times. The first time, I wept like a baby (then I was only 19). But these days, I even get a prodding whenever it's about to happen.

Me Cry again? Nah!

My heart has been butchered, sawn in pieces, thrown on the main road, trailer don even climb am sef. So, I have a heart of stone now. I dont think I can cry for dumping again, lol. Plus, I'm now too old (28) to be crying about dumping.

Interesting topic though
