God has no need of our worship. Our worship benefits us. St. Augustine said that God has made us for himself and our soul is restless until it finds rest in God. Think of the peace, security, inner freedom, and joy you experience each time you worship God in spirit and in truth. It's in our nature to want to worship God. If God wants us to worship him, it's because God knows it's for our good. In the catholic Church, the common preface of the Eucharistic prayer expresses this well. It says : "You have no need of our praise, yet our desire to thank you is itself your gift. Our prayer of thanksgiving adds nothing to your greatness, but makes us grow in your grace".
When we pray, it's us, not God that benefits.

The Philippines embassy is Abuja has been massively denying students visa to their country in recent times. They receive the 69k application fees and without any explanations, stamp denied on your receipt.
I don't know if anyone has had experience with this. I wonder why ordinary Phillippines would treat Nigerians like trash in Abuja. These guys were running to Nigeria in the 80s.
Please someone forward this message to our ministry of foreign affairs. Our government needs to summon their ambassador and ask for an explanation. If they have decided not to give Nigerian students visa anymore, they should make it clear so that Nigerians won't waste their hard earned money paying for visa fee that would not be granted.
