You qualified until march 2022. Now you don’t qualify for IW, you need to book in-person appointment. What were you doing since February when IW started? You would have renewed your visa since.

You are making very good points here. This is also my sentiment. Things are damn expensive now no doubt but there's no reason to think it won't be more expensive going forward. If we can get the money it's better to buy NOW.
PFMBabe:
If you haven't already done your Christmas shopping, you'd better start now!!! If you think prices of goods and services are high at the moment, just wait till late November. Your village people are planning to sell 1 live chicken for #15,000

Prices of everything will skyrocket in December….
Don’t wait till then before you start your Christmas shopping.

You can take little amounts out of your income and start buying the necessities that won’t go bad now, like rice, cooking oil, etc.

If you’ve been saving throughout the year, then you’ll be able to buy even more things ahead of time. Plan what you’re going to use during the festive season now and make those purchases now.

This doesn’t apply to only food items. Are you giving out any gifts? Are you buying new clothes? Are you getting a Christmas tree? Properly plan for and make a cost estimate of what you’ll need during the holidays and start purchasing them now while they’re still pocket friendly.

Go through your list and strike out things that you can do without. Ask yourself if you really need new shoes, or if the ones in your closet that you haven’t even worn will suffice.

Remember that January is one of the longest months in the year, so ensure that you don’t overspend and plan properly for the new year too.

Hello Nairalander

I just discovered a platform and I decided to share since there is love in sharing. The name of the platform is LOBSTR, it runs on the stellar blockchain #xlm

Reasons for sharing
1) The Lobstr has some token that are not well known, they are in the early phase just like when Bitcoin, Dogecoin were back in 2013
2) The Stellar blockchain is the cheapest and fastest, so there is high chance of adoption of these tokens and it will skyrocket, like 2000% or more increase
3) You won’t need to make large investment to on these tokens since they are still quite early
4) I have five of tokens already and it is increasing steady since I bought in
5) Elon Musk is a friend of #xlm blockchain, don’t wait till he announce it
6)Most importantly your life is 100% your responsibility and nobody will be there to save you

You can download the app on AppStore or Google play store
You can message me on WhatsApp on how to get started if you need assistance

Please what exactly is your problem with wakanow.com? Did you pay for a trip and you were not given ticket? Or you discovered that after you made payment, the price was inflated? I'm asking this because I know a couple of people who have used them and there were no issues. Please what exactly is the problem? This information from you may be useful to other forumites.

I'm going to the US to visit a friend. He said there is no reqirement that one should hold a particular amount of money while coming. In fact he said I should just hold like $500 in case of any need to buy something during the layover. Please I want to know if not having a particular amount of money as a visitor can put one into problem at the airport here and POE over there? Those who have been to the US can help shed light on this. Thanks

Ess:

I have used the airport 3 times. On 2 occasions there was no long layover. However on one I had about 8 hours, they denied us meal ticket because they said there was another flight available at the time I purchased our tickets.
The airport is ok, you can walk around, eat free turkish delight (local sweet), eat at their numerous joints tho quite expensive. It is a busy airport actually. Time can fly fast especially if you purchase the internet service, cant remember the amount but it wasnt so much and is paid using your card details.

Hope this helps a bit.

NB: Turks are not so friendly, so you might wanna mind ur own business.
Thanks Ess
By the way, were those your journeys made to the USA and are you aware if there is hotel provision for long layover? It's 22hrs I'm talking about here. Thanks for your anticipated response.

@worry359 thanks for your prompt reply. Be assured that I have read that article and others on the internet. I have also learnt that things aren't always the way they write it. That's the reason I need real life account of experienced traveller here. Especially those who use Turkish airlines. Once again thanks.

Please is there anyone here who has travelled with Turkish airlines to the USA? I have found out that on return journey you have a layover of 22hours at Istanbul. I want to know if there is hotel provision by the airline for those hours or it's OYO(on your own). And if it's on your own, what are those things one can be doing in the airport to while away time? It's a family of four. I need answer from experienced person(s).I mean those who have used the airline before. Thanks
Note: ticket is already purchased.

Pls house, is it compulsory I most hold money while traveling? I'm not staying in hotel and I can withdraw from ATM in the US. I was wondering if it's a requirement that one must travel with certain minimum amount of money.

It appears somebody has a good story about Turkish airlines. I have read reviews about missing luggage and unfriendly staff. I understand some of them can't speak English. Unfortunately, they have a pocket friendly ticket for my itinerary.

Please is there anyone who has travelled with Turkey airlines to the US before? What was the experience like? Can you recommend them? In addition, I discovered that the layover while coming back is 22hrs(this means at your arrival from Chicago to Istanbul, you have to wait in the airport for 22hrs before the connecting flight to Lagos takes off. I like to know how people who have traveled this route cope. Thanks for any helpful response.
