I began my work at home adventure about 5 years ago!

It began answering questions for ChaCha and moved into call center work for LiveOps. After I had my second blog, I found myself needing to find non-phone work I could do online at my own pace. My search quickly earned me the label as the ‘go to’ girl for information about work from home jobs which led me to starting a blog.

Here we are now.

Work at Home Adventures turned THREE years old this month!!

Now I am fortunate enough to consider blogging my primary source of income. I love sharing all the ways I find to make money online. However, I also find it difficult to share much about my current gig as a blogger.

Sharing My Blogging Income
Sharing my income as a blogger has been something I have wanted to do for a long time. I think it would be highly motivational for anyone who is considering this method of “passive” income.

This isn’t a way to boast or brag– this is a way to give you a reality of how you really can make money as a blogger.

Blog Success Can Not Be Replicated
In a sense, it is completely pointless for me to share my path to blogging success.

The reason?

Most of the keys to why I can call blogging my primary work at home job is because of random acts of luck, or rather the Grace of God. Every blogger has their own story, their own lucky moments, their own methods and ways of thinking- all of which make each and every successful blogger story completely unique.

I will share the details of how NGbiznews and my blogging career began and evolved. Then you will see several other bloggers share some stats of their blogs for reference.

My Blogging Adventure
I started blogging on a free platform called blogger in June of 2010. I fumbled my way through it all, having no clue what I was doing- I just did. I shared links to my blog in a Facebook forum and on facebook. I was so excited when I started getting 100 visitors in a day!

In December of 2010 I felt ready for the big leagues and began spending $10 a month with hosting services through Hostgator so I could use the WordPress platform.

As I had been doing my online research for work at home jobs I learned more and more about the online hangouts of fellow work at home-ers. Socializing and being a part of the online work at home community became extremely important to me in growing Work at Home Adventures.

In early spring of 2011 I received my first $100 earned from ads appearing on my blog!!
I was so excited to have something to show for all my work. I had many hours in a ‘hobby’ that was beginning to pay off! I continued blogging here not because I was making money but because I enjoyed it. I loved the satisfaction of knowing I was helping other people.

There have been MANY MANY MANY times I almost quit blogging. I have always put around 10-20 hours a week into this site. It took me two whole years to really see a good return on my invested time. I am so glad I didn’t give up and am now able to reap the rewards of time well spent.
My Current Blog Earnings
NGbizNews is currently averaging $1800-2000 a month. I also run several other sites and do web design projects on the side. Blogging and web design are my primary source of income.

mboldened by back-to-back victories, Liverpool visit longstanding rivals Arsenal on Monday looking to score points in the early-season battle for position in the Premier League.

Liverpool lost 4-1 on their last trip to the Emirates Stadium in April as their challenge for a Champions League place faded, with Brendan Rodgers’s side taking just eight points from a possible 27 in the run-in.

But having beaten Stoke City and Bournemouth, and with Arsenal having lost 2-0 at home to West Ham United on the opening weekend, Liverpool return to north London with confidence at least partially restored.

“No matter when these games come in the season, they’re always good for the psychological effect,” Liverpool manager Rodgers told his pre-match press conference.

“Of course, we’ve got tough games (to come) away from home, but we’ll arrive into the game with confidence.

“We know they’re an outstanding group of players with some quality individual players, but there’s a real focus in this group for this season, a real toughness mentally.


“And we know we’ve got that ability to scrap and to fight to get a result, as well as play good football.

“So if we can go there and perform like we think we can and have that game-plan, we’re confident that we can get a result.”

Liverpool have won only once in their last 18 games at the Emirates and their 5-1 demolition of Arsenal at Anfield in February 2014 was the only success in their last eight meetings with Arsene Wenger’s side.

Both teams tend to approach games looking to dominate the ball, but Rodgers says that as far as possession is concerned, he is more interested in quality than quantity.

“If you look at Arsenal’s last 10 games that they’ve lost at home, the teams that have won there, it’s been about dangerous possession,” he said.

“The teams that have been there have only averaged around four shots on target and with 43 percent possession.

“So it tells you that you can go there and you don’t need to dominate the ball, but you can dominate the space and that’s obviously something that is important, especially in the big games away.”

While Arsenal claimed their first points of the season by winning 2-1 at Crystal Palace last weekend, the opening loss to West Ham called their credentials as title contenders into question.

A second home defeat in succession would see yet more scorn poured on Arsenal’s title chances and Wenger knows it is of paramount importance that his players put the West Ham result behind them.

“If you want to have a successful season, you want to be strong at home,” said the Frenchman. “Normally we are strong at home. This is an opportunity to show that.

“We missed our first game and we had to look at ourselves, and wwe responded very well. Now we need to come back to our usual strength that we have at home.

“This is a very important game where the result will of course be vital. It’s not a result that will decide (anything), but in our heads we know it’s very important.”

Arsenal have no new injury concerns, with midfielder Jack Wilshere (fractured fibula), forward Danny Welbeck and midfielder Tomas Rosicky (both knee) still sidelined.

Unlike against West Ham, Arsenal are expected to have Alexis Sanchez in the starting XI after he returned to the team at Palace.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson faces a late fitness test after a foot injury forced him off early in the second half against Bournemouth, when Christian Benteke scored his first goal for the club.

The Bank Verification Number commonly called BVN is a biometric identification system implemented by the Central Bank of Nigeria to curb or reduce illegal banking transactions in Nigeria. It is a modern security measure in line with the Central Bank of Nigeria Decree to reduce fraud in the Nigerian banking system.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN has named twelve approved centres across Europe, North America, Asia, Middle East and Africa to facilitate the Bank Verification Number, BVN registration exercise for Nigerian banks’ customers in the Diaspora. The approved centres include the ones in Washington DC, Atlanta, New York and Houston, United States of America; Johannesburg, South Africa; Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai, China; New Delhi, India; London and Leicester, United Kingdom; and Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

CBN also disclosed that, “Online Integrated Solutions OIS has been engaged to establish stations for data capture and generation of BVN at a fee of GBP30 per transaction, payable by the customer. The company is expected to capture necessary data for online transmission to the Nigeria Interbank Settlement System, NIBSS who would therefore generate the BVN and communicate same to the customer.

The customer may approach OIS for the BVN, where the communication from NIBSS is not received within 48 hours after the enrolment. Thereafter, Nigerian banks’ customers in Diaspora are expected to forward their BVN to their banks for linkage with their accounts.”

Besides Leicester and London where enrolment had already started, enrolment at all the approved centres is expected to kick off from August 24, 2015 for Washington DC, and August 19 for Dubai, UAE while September 7, 2015 has been slated for the possible go-live date for the registration in Johannesburg, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and New Delhi.

September 14 has been slated for possible go-live date for the exercise in Atlanta, United States of America while possible go-live dates for New York and Houston Centres have yet to be determined. The circular added that information on other enrolment centres not listed above will be communicated soon and that customers should visit the NIBSS website for updates on the go-live dates.

The apex bank also directed customers intending to register through OIS to make a booking first and confirm an appointment through the organisation’s website before they could be attended to. In the circular entitled: “Circular on the framework for the enrolment of Nigerian Banks’ customers in Diaspora for bank verification exercise issuance’ CBN presented two options for the Diaspora customers to participate in the BVN registration exercise.

It said: “Nigerian banks’ customers in the Diaspora could present themselves for enrolment for the BVN without travelling to Nigeria. The first option is for the customers of Nigerian banks to present themselves to the offshore branches/subsidiaries of any Nigerian money deposit bank, where such facilities have been made available, for the enrolment for the BVN. The deployment of scanners and other devices to these locations have started in earnest.
