Gov. Badaru Abubakar of
Jigawa State says he is not
afraid of charms and will
conduct the Ondo APC
primary election
transparently.
Abubakar said this while
briefing newsmen in Abuja
after being sworn in as the
Chairman of All Progressives
Congress (APC) Ondo Primary
Election Committee.
He said: ”Free and fair
election will solve the
problem. If they believe we
are free, fair and
transparent, they will accept
the result.
”Well in the first place, I don’t
believe in juju so certainly I
am surely not afraid.
”I don’t know of any
imposition, my duty there is
to be free, fair and
transparent and I think that
is the only thing that will
help the party.”
He said the issue of
identifying the delegates
was important and their
international passport,
permanent voter card or
national identity card would
suffice.
”Any one of the three will be
able to solve the
identification problem,” he
said.
Abubakar advised other
governors to cut
expenditure in order to
overcome the
embarrassment of owing
staff salaries.
He said once the workers
were paid and happy, any
state could move forward
and be productive.
”In Jigawa, we are not
owing salaries. In fact we
always pay on the 25th of
every month whether the
federation account comes in
or not.
”We are not owing either
local government or state
salaries and we are not
owing pension. In fact
pensioners collect on the
13th or 15th.
”We are not owing gratuity
as well. We are really very
clean as far as staff welfare
is concerned and even this
week or next week, we’ll be
paying the annual leave
grants as promised.
”The magic is being prudent.
You just have to do what
you think is good for the
people.
”Paying workers is of
paramount importance and
we have to sacrifice all what
we do to be sure to pay our
workers because workers
have to remain focused.
”We do a lot of cost savings
and employ cost saving
techniques to reduce
expenditure of the
government.
”For instance in the
government house, the
expenditure has been
reduced by as much as 80
per cent, while general
overhead has been reduced
as much as 47 per cent.
”The security vote has been
reduced as much as 87 per
cent. We use only 13 per
cent of what they normally
used.
“So, all those expenditure
that have no direct bearing
to the common man have
been reduced drastically to
give room for service to the
people.”
The APC Primary Election
Committee is made up of Dr
Bruce Ugbide, Rep. Hamma
Ali, Prince M. Martin and Mr
Mohammed Lawal.
The Election Appeals
Committee is headed by Mrs
Helen Bendeha, with Alhaji
Musa Umar and Ms Nicky
Ejezie as members. (NAN) |

Have you ever been cheated
on by any woman? How
does it feel, painful right? Or
maybe you are the lucky
type who no woman has
ever cheated on, but I’m
sure you know a guy who
has been cheated on by a
lady. Or you may have read
a story online about it.
There was this one that
happened near my street. A
guy trained a girl through
the university, and when the
girl got to final year she
started acting strange so
when the guy confronted
her he got to find out she
was even about to marry
someone else.
These things happen all the
time, It’s usually caused by
two things;
Number 1: if you are not
caring enough as a man and
treats your woman badly.
Number 2: This is actually the
most common reason
women cheat – when the
men are not able to last Long
and perform well on bed
plus having a small or
medium sized dick without
being able to use it well.
That is why a funny African
proverb says “Nothing
makes a woman more
confused than being in a
relationship with a broke
man who is extremely good
in bed”…because she doesn’t
have a choice. She feels like
leaving him but she knows
she would miss out on his
good bedroom skills and all
women hate losing out on
good sex.
You see, the fastest way to
lose your respect in the eyes
of your woman is to
ejaculate too quickly. It kills
every single interest she has
for you very fast. But she
won’t show it. However, if it
keeps happening every time
you two have sex then that is
the end, The next thing she
would wish for is to dump
you and move on to a better
guy.
If you are the rich type she
would keep you aside for the
money and still go ahead to
have sex with a better man
who would satisfy her |

Youth and Sports Minister
Barrister Solomon Dalung has
charged the Nigeria Football
Federation to pay the U-23
National team’s Coach Samson
Siasia.
The Minister gave the charge
when Siasia paid him a visit
yesterday in his office in Abuja.
Siasia had visited with his wife
Eunice to officially inform him
that his contract with the NFF
has ended.
Barrister Dalung directed the
Secretary-General Dr
Mohammed Sanusi who was
also present to ensure that
Siasia gets the arrears of his
five month’s salaries.
“Please pay him his five
months’ salaries. They said he
has resigned but he just said
that his contract expired after
the Olympics. His contract
expired but you are owing him
5 months’ salaries and you
have gone to employ a foreign
coach and will pay him in
dollars. It means you don’t like
yourselves and nobody will
sympathize with you. Please
spare me the stress of talking
about this salary issue or going
to war with you on it. Please
pay him and other coaches
their outstanding salaries”
Dalung said.
The Secretary-General of the
Nigeria Football Federation Dr
Sanusi however said that
efforts were already being
made to pay the coaches their
salaries.
“We have held meetings and
we are waiting for the money
to drop. The money is already
there in our account but we
need to regularize the TSA
procedures before we can
claim the money. We are almost
through with the process.
Once that is concluded, we will
pay them” Sanusi assured. |

ILORIN—The Emir of Ilorin and
Chairman, Kwara State
Traditional Council of Chiefs,
Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari,
has absolved Fulani herdsmen
of responsibility for all the
atrocities committed across the
country, describing them as
peaceful, lovable and honest in
their dealings with other
tribes.
The monarch also urged
Nigerians to ensure that the
desired peace and tranquility
continued to reign in the
nation through harmonious
working relationships and
honesty.
He added that this became
necessary due to the
infiltration of attitudes alien to
the practice and tradition of
the people of Kwara State,
especially indigenes of Ilorin.
The monarch stated this
yesterday when members of
Balogun Gambari community
paid him a thank you visit over
the elevation of the Balogun
Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji
Adedayo Balogun, as the most
senior chancellor in Ilorin
Emirate Council.
The Emir said it was not true
that Fulani herdsmen were
responsible for the destruction
of lives and property in some
parts of the country stressing
that Fulanis were peaceful,
lovable and honest in their
dealings with other tribes.
Alhaji Sulu-Gambari, however,
urged individuals to always
assess issues and desist from
embarking on controversial
matters capable of causing
disharmony in the country.
Similarly, the Emir also received
the leadership of the Ilorin
Emirate Development
Association led by its National
President and Public Relations
Officer, Alhaji Abdullahi
Babatunde Salaudeen and
Mallam Uthman Jagunmo,
respectively, as part of
preparations towards the
forthcoming Eid-el- Kabir Sallah
celebration.
The group expressed
dissatisfaction over the
unfortunate incidence of stone
throwing and sachet water
pelting on some personalities
by hoodlums at the Ilorin
Central Yidi praying ground in
the past stressing that such
attitude was alien to Ilorin
tradition.
They however assured the
monarch of its readiness to
curb the recurrence of such
dastard act adding that
sensitization and advocacy
moves have began across the
state especially in the Ilorin
Emirate ahead of the Sallah
celebration. |

Lagos—Drivers of mass transit
buses yesterday boycotted
Okoko / CMS route to protest
the alleged killing of their
colleague Sunday evening by a
Mobile policeman.
*Mrs Preye Kokorifa, mother of
the deceased;*Late Innocent
Daniel and *Innocent's father.
The deceased, identified simply
as Fatai was said to have been
hit by a stray bullet from a
Mobile policeman , at Doyin
bus-stop in Orile area of Lagos.
The policeman with an
undisclosed identity, who was
said to be escorting a jeep,
reportedly fired some shots
into the air apparently to
disperse vehicles which
blocked the road, only for a
bullet to hit the mass transit
bus driver.
One of the protesting drivers ,
Ishola Manni, who spoke with
this reporter, said: Our friend
and colleague, Fatai , popularly
called Oshe was killed by a
Mobile policeman on Sunday.
He died leaving behind a wife
and five children. Who will take
care of them?, he asked.
An eye witness, Ebere Madu
explained that: “ I was
attending to some customers
when we heard some gun
shots. Everyone ran away,
thinking it was a robbery
operation, but by the time the
whole place was calm, we
were told that a man who was
hit by a stray bullet fired by a
Mobile policeman was lying in
the pool of his blood.
When the Policeman realised
what happened, he
disappeared from the scene,
leaving the vehicle he was
escorting .
Boys in the area swung into
action and arrested an
occupier of the jeep whom
they handed over to policemen
at Orile division. The corpse
was taken to the police station,
from where it was taken to
another location”. |
